Chapter 35

CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

M aia,

Sorry for not answering your letter before, but I was in London.

Thank you for the donation to JS Charities.

I don’t accept your challenge. Though I matched your gift, I am also investing my time to the project.

You heard it. I’m building houses. I’m not bad with my hands—you of all people know it.

Though I understand that fixing the leaking sink, painting a wall, or restoring an old chair isn’t the same as constructing a house, I’m up to the challenge.

I’m splitting my time between Global GAAM, Paradise Bay Winery, and the construction site. One of our volunteers knows construction, and he’s teaching me plenty. Maybe you can sell me your fixer-upper, and I’ll transform it into a livable home.

How’s therapy?

G

PS Did I mention I started to go to counseling too?
