Chapter Ten
Lindor
I woke up wrapped around Axel, sunlight streaming through his bedroom window, and for a moment, I forgot about everything. Forgot about Jonah and Chelsea and the party. Forgot about the humiliation and the anger.
All I felt was warm. Safe. Satisfied.
Axel's arm was around my waist, his breath steady against my neck. I shifted slightly, and he tightened his hold.
"Don't even think about it," he mumbled, voice rough with sleep.
"Think about what?"
"Leaving. Overthinking. Regretting." He kissed my shoulder. "Stay."
I relaxed back into him. "I'm not going anywhere."
"Good." He was quiet for a moment, then: "How are you feeling?"
"Honestly? Better than I have in months."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." I turned in his arms to face him. His hair was a mess, his eyes still heavy with sleep, and he was gorgeous. "Last night was..."
"Incredible? Mind-blowing? The best sex of your life?"
I laughed. "Cocky much?"
"Just confident." He grinned, then sobered. "But seriously. No regrets?"
"None." I kissed him softly. "You?"
"Red, I've wanted you for three years. Last night was a fucking dream come true. My only regret is that it took Jonah being a dick for it to happen."
My phone buzzed on the nightstand. I ignored it.
It buzzed again. And again.
"You should check that," Axel said.
I grabbed it, saw Jonah's name, and put it on silent. "It's nothing."
"Lindor—"
"I don't want to talk about him. Not right now." I straddled him, felt him already hard beneath me. "I want to focus on this. On us."
His hands went to my hips. "Us. I like the sound of that."
"Me too." I ground against him, watched his eyes darken. "So what do you say? Want to make last night's incredible, mind-blowing, best-sex-of-my-life experience a repeat performance?"
"Fuck yes." He flipped us, pinning me beneath him. "But this time, I'm taking my time. Last night was fast and desperate. This morning, I'm going to worship every inch of you."
And he did.
He kissed his way down my body, slow and thorough, paying attention to every spot that made me gasp. When he finally settled between my legs, I was already trembling.
"So fucking beautiful," he murmured, then put his mouth on me.
I arched off the bed, my hands fisting in his hair. He was relentless, using his tongue and fingers to drive me higher and higher until I was begging.
"Please, Axel, please—"
"Please what, baby? Tell me what you need."
"You. Inside me. Now."
He kissed his way back up my body, positioned himself at my entrance. "Look at me."
I met his eyes, saw something there that made my chest tight.
"This isn't just sex for me," he said quietly. "I need you to know that."
"I know." I pulled him down for a kiss. "It's not just sex for me either."
He pushed inside, slow and deep, and we both groaned. He set a steady rhythm, his eyes never leaving mine, and it was different from last night. Less frantic. More intimate.
"You feel so fucking good," he said, his voice strained. "So perfect. Like you were made for me."
"Maybe I was." I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him deeper. "Fuck, Axel, right there—"
"Here?" He angled his hips, hit that spot inside me that made me see stars.
"Yes, fuck, yes—"
"That's it, Red. Take what you need. Use me."
I met him thrust for thrust, chasing the pleasure building in my core. His hand slipped between us, found my clit, and I shattered.
"Fuck, I can feel you coming," he groaned. "So fucking hot. Do it again."
"I can't—"
"Yes, you can." He increased his pace, his fingers working magic. "Come for me again, baby. Show me how good I make you feel."
The second orgasm hit harder than the first, and I cried out his name as I clenched around him. He followed me over, burying his face in my neck as he came.
We lay there afterward, tangled together, both breathing hard.
"Okay," I said finally. "That was definitely the best sex of my life."
He laughed, kissed my temple. "Just wait. I'm full of surprises."
My phone buzzed again. And again. And again.
Axel sighed. "You're going to have to deal with him eventually."
"I know." I grabbed my phone, saw fifteen missed calls and thirty texts from Jonah. "But not today. Today, I just want to be here with you."
"I can work with that." He pulled me closer. "Stay the weekend. We'll order food, watch movies, and I'll make you come so many times you forget your own name."
"Best offer I've had all year."
"Good." He kissed me, slow and sweet. "Because I'm not letting you go, Lindor. Not now that I finally have you."
And for the first time in six months, I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
