PATIENCE
Ruby was here?
Before the ambulance could even take off, my sister was by my side.
“What are you doing?”
She took my hand in hers and smiled warmly.
“Where else would I be but with you right now, silly?”
Tears streamed down my face as I placed my free hand on my stomach. “What if…”
My voice trembled; I couldn’t finish my sentence. I didn’t want to lose the baby or my son. How was this happening? I felt utterly helpless to save either of them.
“Don’t go there. We’re only going to think positive thoughts. We have to believe that you and the baby will be fine. And I know my brother will bring Griffin home.”
I closed my eyes, pain and heartache sweeping through me.
Ruby was right.
Our family was meant to be together.
I had to have faith.
