Chapter Fifty-Three

PATIENCE

My baby was okay.

For the most part, so was I. Another slight concussion from the hit to my head left me with a headache. Between that, the smoke from the car after the accident and the bumps and bruises, along with being pregnant, I was getting a night's stay in the hospital.

With one hand pressed to my tummy and the other clasped in Gramps’s wrinkled hand, I glanced around the room at all the beautiful souls there to comfort me.

The ladies and kids had piled into the room one after another to check on me. Meanwhile the men were somewhere waiting for updates and communicating with the guys who’d set out to find Griffin.

So many people were with me, but it was the two who were missing that I needed the most.

I needed to know that my boys were going to be fine.

The hospital room door opened, and Braxton stepped in, his gaze quickly finding mine. A smile spread across his face.

And I knew.

My guys were okay.
