Axel
Eyeing me like he thought I might pull a gun and demand all his cash, the bartender slid my beer across the bar. I ignored his suspicion, taking a long pull from the bottle, and turned around.
The run-down bar was busy, the hum of conversation drowning out the music playing in the background. A handful of guys played pool, and a middle-aged waitress in a miniskirt brought out drinks on a round tray.
I put my arm around the girl next to me. She leaned in, looking up at me through thick eyeliner and fake lashes. Nice tits, though. I took a long look at her perky cleavage spilling out of her low-cut shirt.
Buzz sat at a nearby table with a girl in his lap. Hammer sat on a stool on my other side, his back to the bar. He’d been in a shitty mood since we got there.
I was, too. Fucking Summer.
I’d taken the fall—did my duty for the club, even though it meant time behind bars. Now that I was walking free again, I could begin securing my dynasty.
Mayhem had done me a solid, keeping track of her. Stryker’s old lady had enough influence over him for that.
And the kid was mine. She couldn’t keep him from me.
Keeping my arm around the girl, I took another swig. The more I thought about it, the more pissed I got.
“That bitch,” I snarled. “Wouldn’t even let me see him.”
Hammer grunted in acknowledgment and took a drink of his beer.
“Wouldn’t let you see who?” the girl asked.
I ignored her. “She needs to remember, I’m the kid’s father.”
“You have a kid?” the girl asked. “I love kids. How old is he?”
“Ten,” I said, although I wasn’t positive. “Or something.”
“His mom won’t let you see him? That’s not right. You’re his father. She should know better.”
Although I agreed, I went back to ignoring her. I hadn’t bought her a drink for the conversation. “She ain’t raising him right.”
“Nope,” Hammer said.
“He needs to learn to be a man.” I let out a frustrated breath. “Stryker should have taken care of that while I was locked up.”
“Why would Stryker give a shit about some kid?”
“Nate’s his old lady’s grandson.”
“So? Stryker doesn’t share blood with him.”
“He’s my son, and he’ll be a member when he’s ready.”
“Still.”
Scowling, I glanced down at the girl. The view made me feel a little better. But I was still pissed at Summer.
“The problem is, keeping tabs on Sum Sum wasn’t enough,” I said. “She forgot who the kid belongs to.”
“I guess we need to remind her,” Hammer said.
My mouth turned up in a grin. I already had an idea. “We do.”
“Hey, remember what Stryker said. Don’t cause too much trouble.”
“He ain’t here. And we won’t get caught. It’ll be fine.”
Hammer gave another noncommittal grunt.
“You want to go back, go. I don’t fucking need you guys.”
He glanced at me through narrowed eyes. “You think Stryker sent us to help you?”
White-hot anger shot through my veins, and I ground my teeth together. He hadn’t, had he? He’d sent Buzz and Hammer to keep an eye on me.
After everything I’d done for him and the club, Stryker didn’t trust me.
“We’ll send a message, that’s all.” I took a drink. “Like you said, Summer needs to remember who we are.”
“All right,” he said, but his tone still sounded skeptical.
Or maybe he was just in a bad mood.
“But first, I know what you need.” I looked down at the girl’s tits again. “You got any friends who want to have a good time tonight?”
She smiled. “I might.”
“My club brother over here needs someone to fuck the bad mood out of him.” One corner of my mouth lifted. “Or maybe we’ll both take a turn with you.”
Her eyes flicked to Hammer, then back to me, like she was thinking about it. “Hmm, maybe.”
I chuckled and took a swig of my beer. “What do you think, Ham? You wanna have a go at her?”
He leaned forward enough to look at her. “I could hit that.”
I leaned down, putting my face between her tits, and slid my tongue between them. Giggling, she tilted her head back.
“That’s right, you little slut,” I said, bringing my head up. “You’re gonna make us both feel a hell of a lot better.”
“I get her first, though,” Hammer said.
“That works. I like to watch.”
“I don’t usually do things like this,” she said.
I scoffed. She wasn’t a good liar. “Sure you don’t. Let’s go.”
With my arm around our toy for the night, I led her out. Buzz tipped his chin to us as we walked by.
It was going to be a good night. Not because I had a hot piece of ass who was gonna let me and Hammer do whatever the fuck we wanted to her.
The girl didn’t matter. She was just a warm-up.
When we were finished, I was going to show Summer she couldn’t get away with this.
The kid was mine. He belonged to me, and she needed to remember who she was dealing with.
I’d make sure she didn’t forget again.
