Chapter Eleven

Ruby

The wind whips across the lake, sharp and unrelenting, tugging at my copper hair as I lace up my skates with trembling fingers, the leather creaking under the pull.

The blades bite into the frost-dusted ice as I stand, my legs wobbling not from the cold but from the pearls inside me, now swollen even more. Their weight shifts with every movement, pressing against my inner walls in ways that send aches surging outward like sparks from a fire.

Each step forward on the skates amplifies it. The pressure building against my g-spot, aches surging everywhere they touch, making my thighs clench and my breaths come in short, desperate gasps.

The afternoon light slants low, turning the snow to gold, but the thinning patches on the ice gleam milky and treacherous, cracks spidering out like warnings I ignore.

My abdomen aches with the expansion, a faint teal glow seeping through my sweater, the warmth they provide shielding me from the bite of the air.

But the pleasure surges unbidden, waves crashing through my core that leave me moaning softly into the wind, my hips twitching as if seeking her touch.

I push off hard, the scrape of blades echoing across the empty expanse, my arms flailing for balance as the pearls shift again.

The internal pressure intensifies to a pleasurable burn that makes my knees buckle mid-glide.

"Eira..." I whisper at first, the name lost in the gusts. But desperation builds with each circle I skate.

The lake's surface groans under me, the cracks widening like my fracturing control.

The pull is relentless now, every stroke sends aches surging, my slickness building between my legs. The fabric of my leggings dampens as I imagine her cool tail coiling around me, her hum vibrating deep.

Gasps turn to shouts, "Eira! Please... I need you!" My voice cracks over the ice, the wind stings my eyes.

My body urges me toward the center, the pearls' call a visceral tug that makes my core throb. Pleasure coils tight without release, leaving me trembling.

Moans slip out more as I skate faster, the desperation showing in my erratic path, blades carving frantic lines in the frost.

The ice rumbles suddenly, a fissure opening with a sharp crack that echoes through my bones. A teal glow emerging from the depths like a beacon, water bubbling up warm and inviting amid the cold.

I skid to a stop at the edge, heart pounding, the pearls surging in response.

Their expansion presses harder, aches surging to every nerve, my clit throbbing as if her hum calls from below.

Eira surfaces with a graceful ripple, her platinum hair floating like silk on the water. Her silver eyes wide and shimmering with relief, her opalescent skin catching the fading light.

I rush to the boundary, dropping to my knees on the ice. The cold seeps through my leggings but the pearls' warmth chases it away.

My hands reach for her as she rises partially, her tail fin brushing the surface.

Our lips meet in a desperate kiss, her mouth cool and yielding against my warmth, tasting of salt and the deep's minerals. Her hum vibrates through the contact like a promise that sends fresh aches surging from the pearls.

She pulls back slightly, her eyes locked on mine.

"Come back to me," she whispers, her tail coiling around my leg through the water, cool scales pressing against my thigh, the vibration of her words sending sparks through the pearls.

I nod, the decision flooding through me like the lake's currents.

No more fighting, no more emptiness.

I plunge into the fissure, water rushing over me, pearls warming with each descent. The cold water enveloping but the pearls' warmth shielding like a second skin, letting me dive deep without shiver or fear.

Eira's tail guides me, wrapping around my waist as we descend, the pressure of the deep pressing in but the pearls pulsing stronger. Aches surge with each stroke, my breaths steady in the water as if born to it.

We arrive in the grotto, surfacing with a soft splash, the blue-green glow welcoming like an old friend, vapors curling warm and mineral-scented around us.

Eira pulls me to the green beds, her tail assisting as we nestle together, the plush surface yielding under our weight. Kelp drapes over us like a blanket, its salty texture soft against my skin.

Our bodies entwine, her cool scales pressing to my warmth. The pearls settling with a final surge that makes me gasp, aches fading to a gentle hum.

"I'm here," I murmur, my fingers threading into her hair. I pull her close for another kiss, soft and lingering, her hum vibrating through me like a cozy lullaby.

Promises tease in the quiet.

"Shared warmth awaits," she whispers, her hand tracing my abdomen where the glow pulses softly, her eyes lighting with joy. "No more alone."

I nod, my lips brushing her ear. "Teach me more. Us, together."

The coziness envelops us, steam like a veil, scents of herbs and salt mingling as we cuddle under the pearl-lit clusters.

The glow pulses in time with our synced breaths, hints of deeper bonds in every touch.

The mist curls around us, its warmth seeping into my skin as the last echoes of fear fade. The pearls' call weaving through every lingering ache, every glance we share in the glow.

I nestle closer to her, my body settling without hesitation, the running done… this is home now.

The grotto enfolds us, its heat a steady hold, the deep murmuring softly of tomorrows yet to unfold.
