Chapter 14 #3
My hands gripped the sheets as warmth and sensation built in waves I hadn’t expected as his mouth found my clit. Jalen didn’t rush anything. If anything, he seemed patient in a way that made the moment feel even more overwhelming.
Every second stretched longer than the last as his tongue gently swirled around like he knew exactly where to find my peak.
Until the tension finally broke and the feeling rushed through me all at once, leaving me breathless and completely undone.
Did that really just happen. My goodness this man had be completely undone.
For a moment I just laid there, trying to catch my breath.
When he lifted his head, his expression softened as he brushed a stray strand of hair from my face.
“You okay?” he asked quietly.
I laughed softly.
“More than okay.”
He stood slowly beside the bed, the candlelight catching the lines of his body as he pushed his sweatpants down and stepped out of them.
For a second I just stared.
I had known he was built like an athlete. That much was obvious.
But standing there in the low light of my room, with the city glowing behind him through the curtains, he looked almost unreal.
Strong shoulders.
Defined lines across his chest and stomach.
Confidence without arrogance.
And the way he looked at me made my heart race all over again.
"Damn," I said outloud by accident.
He laughed under his breath and climbed back onto the bed with me.
This time the kiss felt different.
Slower.
Deeper.
Like neither of us was trying to prove anything anymore.
Just feeling.
His arms wrapped around me as we settled together against the pillows, the rhythm between us finding its own pace as the night stretched on around us.
Candles glowed beside the bed.
And somewhere between laughter, whispered words, and quiet moments in between, the distance we had both been trying to maintain disappeared completely.
For the first time since that night began, I stopped thinking about what this was supposed to be.
And just let it be real.
Jalen leaned over me again, the warmth of him settling around my body like it belonged there.
This time there was no hesitation between us.
The rhythm we found together felt natural, instinctive, like our bodies had quietly decided on their own how the night would unfold. His hands moved over me with care, never rushed, learning every curve of me as if he had all the patience in the world.
I had never felt someone pay attention like that before.
Every movement from him felt intentional, like he was listening to my body the same way he listened when I spoke. When I shifted, he adjusted. When I breathed deeper, he slowed.
We moved together in a quiet rhythm that felt almost effortless.
Like we had known each other longer than we actually had.
The warmth of his chest against mine, the way his arms held me steady, the softness of his voice when he whispered my name — all of it wrapped around me until the rest of the world faded away.
At some point I buried my face against his neck, breathing him in. His quiet groans were muffled against my skin, the sound sending shivers down my spine that I hadn’t known were possible.
Every second built on the last, the closeness between us tightening until it felt like the air itself had grown warmer.
And when the feeling finally broke over me, it was stronger than anything I had experienced before.
My hands tightened around him as the moment washed through me, leaving me breathless in a way I hadn’t expected.
I could feel the tension building between us again, the rhythm we had found together tightening with every movement.
Jalen’s eyes stayed locked on mine.
He didn’t look away.
Not once.
There was something steady about the way he watched me, like he wanted to be sure I was right there with him through every second of it.
His brow furrowed slightly, the pleasure written across his face as his breathing grew heavier.
My hands gripped his shoulders, holding on as the feeling inside me began to rise again, stronger this time.
The closeness between us felt overwhelming in the best possible way.
Like we had somehow fallen into the exact same rhythm without ever needing to talk about it.
Jalen’s forehead dipped briefly toward mine, his voice rough when he whispered my name.
The moment stretched tight between us until neither of us could hold back anymore.
Our bodies moved together one last time, the release hitting us at the same time, leaving me breathless as the wave passed through both of us at once.
For a second we just stayed there.
His chest pressed against mine.
Our foreheads touching.
Breathing hard.
Still looking at each other like we were both a little surprised by what had just happened.
Then the tension slowly faded, leaving warmth and quiet in its place as we collapsed back against the bed together.
And somehow, even in the silence that followed, neither of us broke eye contact right away.
For a while neither of us spoke.
The candles flickered softly on the nightstand.
Outside, the city lights kept glowing through the curtains, unaware that the world inside the room had shifted in some quiet, irreversible way.
Jalen’s arm stayed wrapped loosely around me as the warmth of sleep slowly crept in.
Our breathing stayed in sync.
And sometime before the candles burned out completely, we drifted off together, the night carrying us quietly into morning.
