Chapter 7 #3
Mo was so grateful he’d put earbuds in before answering—it was too late for his eardrums, but at least Adam wouldn’t overhear. “Yes. Yes, I did.”
“Second, I have thoughts on that, but first, I need all the details.”
Mo cast a look toward the kitchen door. Once he’d ascertained Adam wasn’t about to catch him talking about his dick, he turned back to Sage. “Girl, he lifted me up and fucked me against the wall.”
“Bitch, he did not,” Sage said with delight.
Mo waggled his eyebrows.
“Well, damn. Score one for hockey, I guess.”
“Did it hurt to say that?” Sage had taken a vengeful dislike to the sport when the locker room started to sour for Mo.
Sage smirked. “Probably about as much as Adam’s dick.”
He hummed. “Oh, so only in the best ways?”
“Is it as big and handsome as the rest of him?”
“Honey, it’s so pretty and perfect, I’m going to ride it once a day. Fat, uncut, and just the right length.” Mo sighed dreamily. “I might have to get one of those molds so I can clone it for when he’s gone.”
Sage cackled. “Does he know he’s signed up to be a human dildo?”
Mo grinned. “I think he’s getting the idea. He’s very receptive to coaching.”
“Ugh, now I’m just jealous. Stop bragging about your sex life and tell me you know what you’re doing.”
Now that was just offensive. “Are you implying I haven’t put the last seven years of study to good use?”
Sage gave him a sharp, sober look—no more kidding around. “Are you sure sex with him is a good idea? You’re in a delicate tangle…”
“I’ll be fine. You care and that’s—thank you. But all evidence suggests this might actually make things easier. Turns out his dick is a great cure for tension.”
“Deep-tissue massage?”
“The deepest.”
Sage gave him a considering look. “I won’t push. For now. Just… be careful, okay? I don’t want this to blow up in your face.”
“I’m always careful,” Mo lied. Then, because sometimes, his Id and his tongue worked faster than his brain, “But I’m not sure that blowing in my face would be a bad thing…”
A strangled noise sounded from the doorway, and Mo spun to see Adam standing on the threshold, pink-cheeked and wide-eyed. “Uh…”
“Whoops, gotta go! Sleeping Beauty’s awoken and probably needs, like, ten pounds of protein. Talk soon!” He kissed the air and waited for Sage to do the same before hanging up.
“Were you—” Adam scratched at his scalp. “Was that about me?”
Mo eyed Adam cautiously. “It was Sage. Gotta get the chats in where we can when they’re eight hours ahead.”
Silence dragged as Adam considered this, biting his lip. “But you were talking about me—us having sex.”
“Sage and I tell each other everything.” Mo reached for the fridge. He needed to keep his hands busy. For some reason, the back of his neck felt prickly.
“Everything?” Adam’s voice almost cracked.
Mo looked over his shoulder to find Adam’s cheeks flushed darker. “Well,” he purred, “almost everything.”
Adam’s shoulders stopped climbing for his ears, but he didn’t unbunch, which was shockingly adorable.
“Adam, are you embarrassed about sex talk?”
“No,” he said quickly. “No, yes—Look, it’s one thing to talk about it in general, or with the person I’m having it with, but the idea of that person telling other people about what we do…” He shifted uneasily. Mo wanted to pinch his cheeks. What the fuck.
Another part of him felt a pang of guilt. Adam had mentioned that before, after all—but that was back when any details would have been made up and the audience was everyone, not Mo’s bestie.
Setting eggs and butter on the counter, Mo turned to face Adam and consider the issue seriously. “Is it the thought of other people knowing what you’re like in bed? Or like that I’m the one telling?”
Adam shrugged but didn’t answer.
“Look, I’m not being difficult; I’m trying to figure out boundaries. I can’t know what is and isn’t okay to talk about if you don’t tell me.”
“Can you just… not talk about it?”
Mo gave Adam a flat look. “Sage and I talk about sex. I’m not going to not talk about it with them because you’re a prude.” He grabbed a bowl and started cracking eggs.
Adam cursed softly and ran his hands over his face. “You’re right.”
“Thank you,” Mo sniffed. Then unbent enough to say, “Where’s the line for you? Talking about my sex life? Talking about what I want to do with you? What we have done? How your dick pressed just right—”
“Please stop.” Adam turned red again, but there was a quirk of a smile on his lips, at least. “I guess the line is talking about me.”
“So talking about wanting a facial is okay, but talking about you wanting one or giving one, not okay?”
“Sure.” Adam’s voice was strangled, but there was a gleam in his eyes, behind the embarrassment, which suggested he wasn’t opposed to facials in and of themselves.
“Great! Henceforth, I shall only discuss our sex life in the abstract.”
“Abstract, huh?” Adam stepped closer, finally unbending. He looked intrigued. “Think you can manage?”
“Manage what? Sparing the details if I can continue banging you like a screen door in order to relieve the many frustrations of life? Yes. Yes, I do.”
Another step. “I seem to remember that I was doing all the banging, Mr. Screen Door.”
“You did a very good job,” Mo agreed, abandoning the eggs.
Adam went pink again, but his expression was coy, delighted. “Yeah?”
“Oh yeah. A gentleman and a rogue. Fucked to perfection. You’ve got a pretty cock and know how to use it.”
Adam looked positively dazed under all that praise.
Fuck it. Breakfast could wait.
