Epilogue

Jessamine

“International Superstar Shira posted a candid photo from the Roe-Heywood wedding she attended this past weekend. She even posted a cheeky little video doing a viral trend with the bride, Jessamine.” The celebrity gossip correspondent laughs as the video plays.

“In case you’ve been under the rock and don’t know why this is news, let me take you back two years.

Fans went crazy when Shira announced her relationship with rapper Adan El Ray who happened to be Jessamine’s ex.

Some fans went overboard relentlessly comparing them until Shira called for a stop to the madness.

Shortly after her split from El Rey, Shira later signed a brand deal with Cole Heywood for Elevated Botanicals where the friendship must have begun.

Shira also posted a picture of the bride and groom kissing and captioned it ‘Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Heywood.’ So congratulations to them, but in slightly different news, we also noticed that the camera was always strategically placed to cut off whomever accompanied her to the wedding.

Is there love in the air? You’ll find out once we do. ”

“Don’t tell me I have to confiscate televisions remotes, Mrs. Heywood,” Cole teases from the door.

The way the words flow out of him equally possessive and seductive makes me shiver. “No, husband,” I say as I turn to look at him. “I was just killing time.”

He’s leaning on the door jamb. His brown hair is slightly tousled and free of product. The tropical print shirt he is wearing hangs open to display his sculpted torso and his solid swim trunks match the cerulean tones of his shirt.

How good he looks still amazes me sometimes. The sun coming from the balcony enhances the blue in his eyes and it also picks up on the stones on his wedding ring as he swipes his hand over his beard.

That giddy lovestruck feeling hits me again. We’re actually married. The stranger who did me a favor is now the man I chose to be with me for life. It’s crazy how fast we were sure about each other and that hasn’t changed. I guess it is true that when you know, you know.

It was a beautiful wedding. His mom was such an amazing coordinator that my mom and I only had to choose specific items. I’m glad that we’re a good time.

Kacy was a bridesmaid although she’d originally turned me down as she tearfully confessed that she and Cole were together briefly years before.

The relief on her face was comical when I assured her that I already knew.

Cole was sure to give me an entire timeline once we made it official.

I toss the remote on the bed and it bounces onto the floor. “I might have to charge you for that,” he jokes and holds his arms out because he knows I’m coming for a hug.

“Put it on my husband’s tab.”

Cole laughs and pecks my lips. “The whole resort is your husband’s tab.”

I smile, proud that he gets to open a second location in such a tropical place. “Problem solved.” He gives me a lingering kiss and if we didn’t just have sex about twenty minutes ago, I would have climbed up his big body again. “You’re setting a dangerous precedent,” I warn him.

He folds me into his warm hug, wrapping himself around me the way I love. “Oh yeah? What’s that?”

“I’m starting to think staying in an empty resort is the bare minimum.”

His chest rumbles under my cheek as he laughs. “How about a tradition instead of a precedent?”

“Meaning?”

“How about instead of me buying out resorts as we travel, we just make a deal that we’ll test drive every resort I open just like we did in Dallas and how we’re about to do with this one?”

I look up at him with a smile that I can only describe as happy. “I’d love that.”

“Then it’s settled. We will be the first to stay at any of my projects.”

I can’t believe I get to spend my honeymoon in paradise where the staff is solely dedicated to keeping me happy.

“I love you,” I confess. His face reddens a little like it did the first time I said it.

Cole kisses me again. “I love you, too,” he admits as he squeezes my bikini clad ass.

“Cole! We promised to leave the room this time. We actually have to test out the resort especially since this will be the location of the Plucking Ladies Retreat.”

“I’m aware,” he whispers as he runs kisses along my jaw. “But, I’m also looking forward to giving you a new title.”

I squint my eyes at him. “You said girlfriend, fiancée, and wife. I’m already on the third title. What title are you talking about?”

“Mom.”

With a squeal, I try to run in the opposite direction once he starts pushing me towards the bed again. My husband just bends and throws me over his shoulder while my legs pump in the air.

“You promised, Cole,” I whine with a breathy laugh.

“And I keep my promises but I didn’t say when I’d fulfill said promise. We’ll make it out of this room, eventually.”

He places me on the bed and covers my body with his as he pins my hand above my head. Cole moves his hand down, teasing my nipple through the triangle of my top. Although he’s being freaky, the look he gives me is soft and full of love.

“I love you so much it scares me sometimes.” His sincerity almost chokes me up but he switches subjects so fast it gives me whiplash. “I’m so fucking hard thinking about how sexy you’re going to look with your belly rounded with our child. It’s going to be hard to keep my hands off of you.”

“What will be different?” I ask with a pointed look since his hand is taking a sensual tour of my body.

“You’re right but I will fuck you with such a reverent awe knowing we created a life that’s growing inside of you.”

Damn, the way he said it wants me to sign up for it right now but I have a contract to complete.

“We’ll get there, baby,” I moan since he’s teasing me in all the right ways.

“Once that contract expires, I’m not getting off of you until you’re pregnant.” Damn, that shouldn’t sound as sexy as it does. “But for now, I’m going to thoroughly enjoy practicing.”
