Predator Chapter

Predator:

I paced Stalker’s room. We decided to ask Stryder to meet us there.

We wanted privacy, especially if he didn’t take well to what we intended to say.

Some might say it would be smarter to do it where there were others, but if he got heated or even took a swing at us, we didn’t want him to get into trouble for fighting with his brothers.

Plus, women and kidlets would be in the common room.

We’d been back no more than five or six minutes.

I sent the text as soon as we got to Stalker’s room.

The size of the bedroom wasn’t conducive to both of us traipsing back and forth, so he sat on his bed.

I was halfway through another circuit, of I don’t know how many, when a brisk knock on the door stopped me mid-step.

I diverted to the door, yanking it open.

“Hey, guys,” Stryder said.

He was low-key. Stryder stood there waiting for me to say or do something. I stepped back, gesturing for him to enter. After he did, I closed the door. He sat in the chair Stalker pointed to. I took a seat on the bed.

“Okay, you’re weirding me out with those stares. Is something the matter?” Stryder asked as we remained mute for fifteen seconds or more.

“Sorry. We’re not meaning to freak you out. Thanks for agreeing to talk,” I told him.

“Yeah, thanks, man. Predator and I wanted to talk to you about Dayanara,” Stalker added.

Stryder leaned forward, frowning. “What about her? Did Outlaw discover something? Has the plan changed?”

“No, no new news that we’re aware of, or changes to the plan. We wanted to ask you about Dayanara,” Stalker replied.

“Ask what about her?”

Enough talking in circles. I decided to dive right into it. As we’d waited for this chat, a question had arisen. I asked it first. Then we’d go from there.

“First, does your cousin have a boyfriend? There was no ring on her finger, so we assume she’s not engaged or married,” I blurted out.

Surprise flickered across his expression before it was gone.

“Daya isn’t engaged or married. As for whether she’s seeing anyone, as far as I know, she isn’t.

That doesn’t mean she might not be. Jessup, more so than I, has been less than pleasant to any guys she’s ever dated.

She doesn’t talk about them for that reason.

The same is even more true of Brighton. You get it.

You can’t trust guys with your sisters and female cousins.

I know Daya can defend herself, but still.

If you’re worried there’s someone we have to take into consideration or someone we should hide what we’re doing from, I don’t think so, but I’ll ask. Good idea. I hadn’t considered it.”

Stryder reached into his cut, presumably to take out his phone to text her. Stalker’s voice stopped him.

“Don’t ask. Not yet. That’s only a tiny bit of why we asked you here.

It ties into the bigger reason. I’ll be straight with you, Stryder.

As club brothers, you know none of us ever wants to upset or do wrong to each other.

We treat each other’s blood family with utter respect, unless you’re someone like Iceman’s dad.

That being said, Predator and I want to be blunt. ”

As he paused, I jumped in.

“What Stalker is saying is, the two of us find Dayanara extremely intriguing. She’s beautiful, smart, strong, and feisty. She thinks like we would. And as men, we’d be blind not to find her sexy.”

Stryder stiffened. A scowl blossomed on his face. He shook his head.

“Hold it right there. No. No goddamn way am I okay with you fooling around with her. For one thing, she’s not like that.

She’s not a glorified club bunny. Secondly, I thought family was off-limits for shit like this?

You just said blood family is treated with respect.

Not only would you have her to worry about if you approach her about this, but there’s Jessup and me.

Forget it. Stick to the hangers and bunnies,” he snapped.

He came to his feet. Both of us stood, too. Our hands came up in soothing gestures.

“Hang on. Stop. Calm down. Please, sit. That’s not what we mean. Hear us out,” Stalker pleaded.

Stryder stared at us for several moments before he slowly sank into the chair. I remained standing while Stalker sat.

“Go on,” Stryder drawled tersely.

“Of late, Stalker and I find the hangers and bunnies to be a turn off. We’re not interested in what they offer.

You've probably noticed we’re saying no or leaving the common area early.

The reason is, we’re not happy with the temporary sex thing anymore.

We want to have someone like what our brothers have with their old ladies.

Family and a forever woman are what we desire,” I told him.

“Okay, so you both want that and what? You think my cousin could be that woman for one of you? I presume you both find her suitable. Are you intending to pursue her and see if she’ll choose one of you?” There was relief in his tone.

“Not exactly. Yes, we want to pursue her, but our ultimate goal is for her to choose both of us. Hang on, let me finish. While the two of us sharing an old lady isn’t something we have to have, we’ve considered it.

However, we were more than willing to have separate old ladies if that was the way it went.

Predator and I have similar tastes, which is why we’ve hooked up with the same woman together in the past. In Dayanara’s case, she struck us equally as having all the qualities we admire and want in a woman,” Stalker explained.

“What if she isn’t into being shared?” her cousin asked.

“Honestly, we’re worried about that. If she doesn’t see either of us as a match, then we’ll have to get over it.

But if she chooses one over the other, we’re not sure how the one not chosen will handle it.

It’ll strain and test our friendship. Seeing her with Stalker would be a killer, and vice versa for him.

We know that polyamorous relationships aren’t mainstream, but they exist and are more common.

We have great examples in Dublin Falls. I’ll say it even though I think you know it, this would be us sharing her.

Dayanara wouldn’t share us. We’re totally heterosexual.

The thought of her shooting both of us down will sting.

Her acceptance of only one will hurt like hell,” I confessed.

“Christ, you sure know how to make a guy want to bang his head off the wall. First of all, I won’t consider letting anyone be with her for sex only.

I believe you when you say that’s not your intention.

As for her being with both of you, I have no problem with less traditional relationships, in principle.

They can be like what you suggest, or ones like Tiger and Thorn’s.

Hell, there’s one called reverse harem where three or more men are with the same woman.

Where I have a problem is the idea of the woman being my cousin, which is hypocritical.

“I guess the place to start is finding out if she has any interest in either or both of you. If she does, we deal. Now, Jessup, I highly doubt he’s gonna be wild about any man with her.

Daya with two will blow his mind. He’ll be vocal and ugly about it.

Not that he’ll change her mind if she’s willing.

I just want you to know that. Eventually, he’ll come to accept it because he won’t ruin his relationship with her. ”

“What about Brighton? We want her to meet everyone and become comfortable with the club. That would be the case whether we want Dayanara or not,” Stalker said.

“Good idea. I’ll see about making it happen.

Wow, not what I had in mind when you said we needed to talk.

Shit. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I gotta wrap my head around this.

Don’t procrastinate on approaching Daya.

We’ll leave Jess in the dark. Was there anything else?

Because if not, I’m gonna get a drink and think. I won’t say a word to anyone.”

“No, that was it,” I stated.

Not wanting to push him, we readily agreed. There were standard handshakes and backslaps as we let him go. When the door closed, Stalker and I high-fived each other. It went better than we hoped—time to figure out how to approach Dayanara and when to do it.
