Dayanara Chapter 9 #2
“Always the best, D. Alright, so Marshall was released at eight p.m. There was a delay with the paperwork, so he didn’t go free yesterday as expected.
He wasn’t happy. His lawyer picked him up.
He was to be taken to his old residence.
Seems it was kept while he was incarcerated.
I don't know why they didn’t put him in a halfway house.
“The monitoring company’s technician was to meet them at his house tonight to place the ankle monitor. Then he has an appointment Monday morning at ten o’clock with his parole officer, Steven Bauer. He used to work here as a guard. I believe I already told you that.
“D, I don’t know what it is, but I’m getting a weird fucking feeling about this whole thing. Marshall Webb doesn’t strike me as one to follow rules or to be rehabilitated. Watch your sister. I know you’ll be careful. If you need more, let me know.” I heard the concern in his voice.
“Klaus, you’re wonderful. I can’t thank you enough. We’ll be careful. We need to have lunch or dinner soon. Let me get Breezy settled with the idea that the bastard is on the loose, then we’ll make arrangements.”
“You got it. Can’t wait. Take care. Later.”
“I can’t wait to see you, either. You take care, too. Bye.”
I barely disconnected before they descended. I expected it.
“Who the hell was that?” Stalker asked.
“And why are you going to lunch or dinner with him?” Predator added.
“You two need to chill. You act like I’m about to run off with Klaus.
I’m not. I’ll have you know, he’s happily married with two kids.
He called to tell me that Marshall got released tonight, not long ago.
The ankle monitor is to be placed tonight.
His lawyer picked him up and took him to his old place.
His PO appointment is Monday at ten in the morning.
I think this should be all that’s needed at this point to plan his abduction. Aren’t you happy?”
“Yes, we’re happy that we can make a move soon on the son of a bitch. What is bothering us is this Klaus guy. How do you know you can trust him? What if he’s playing a game? You know that not everyone who works in corrections is a good person,” Stalker stated.
“True, but I trust Klaus. He would never betray me.”
Our conversation was attracting spectators. None of the outsiders were here yet.
“How do you know he wouldn’t betray you?” Predator insisted. I saw concern written all over their faces.
“I know because I saved his life. He owes me a debt he swears can never be repaid. I’m the reason he got to go home to his wife and kids. He’s a fellow former Marine. Klaus Beyer will never betray me,” I informed them.
I knew Outlaw would check into Klaus’s background and history. It was a given. I wanted him to, so the club would know that my confidence in Klaus wasn’t misplaced.
“Fellow Marines, the good ones, would never forget a debt like that. She saved his life, then he’ll have her back,” Bull defended.
“But what if he’s not a good Marine?” Stalker asked.
“You’ll have to wait and see, but I guarantee you he is,” I promised.
“Daya, may I ask how you saved his life?” Maverick asked. I knew he was a former Army guy.
“You may. I can’t say where we were, but it was somewhere that was a hot zone.
We were retaking the area from insurgents, and, of course, the enemy hated us.
They fought back however they could. Someone set a booby trap that Klaus walked into one day while we were out patrolling.
If he moved, he would be blown sky-high.
I was the one who defused it and got him free without it killing us.
“After that, Klaus became my shadow and swore no matter where we ended up, he’d always owe me.
I told him he didn’t, but he insisted. His wife, Robin, says the same thing.
Having lunch or dinner with him will be as friends.
And likely, Robin will join us. I planned to ask you two cavemen along if you can behave. ” I smirked at Predator and Stalker.
Chuckles rumbled out of many of them. My men gave me rueful looks.
“You can’t blame us for being cautious. You’re a prize. We can’t have someone stealing you away,” Predator insisted.
“He’s right. We have to protect our woman,” Stalker tacked on.
“Just remember, your woman is independent and can take care of herself,” I reminded them.
“We know, and we love that you can, but we still can’t turn this alpha male thing off,” Stalker insisted while Predator nodded.
“These two lunkheads are right. You’ll find that with all of us.
Alright, let’s talk business real quick.
With this new information, we can plan our final steps.
Tomorrow, meet in church at eleven o’clock.
We’ll finalize things then. Daya, we’d like you to join us.
You’re integral to this plan,” Bull stated.
“I’d love to,” I assured him.
“Then it’s settled. Now, get back to having fun,” Bull announced. I gladly complied.
???
I spent another night in bed with my guys.
It had been a repeat of the night before, except the kissing had been more heated, and hands had been on body parts under clothing on both sides.
I longed to see and taste their bodies, especially their cocks.
They felt huge in my hand. They’d fingered me to an orgasm while I jerked them off in their underwear.
It had been messy, but so worth it. I was shocked I’d done that this early, but my usual rules about men and sex went out the window with those two.
I was restless after I woke up. I anticipated the meeting.
To help me wait, we made breakfast again, but this time, Breezy, Sage, Aspen, and Meadow came to help.
Again, we took pity on the single members.
We warned them not to expect it all the time.
Their thanks and boyish charm made me smile. They were like little kids.
However, that was all over, and now I entered their sacred church again.
Everyone was more somber, speaking in low voices.
I allowed my old men, as they asked me to call them last night, to guide me to where they sat.
They explained that everyone had an assigned seat.
They squeezed in a chair between theirs for me.
The guys on either side of them scooted down without being asked.
Bull was the last one to take his seat. Silence fell. Eyes were on him.
“Now that we’re all here, let’s get started. I know it’s Sunday and you have plans. I won’t hold you longer than necessary. I believe everyone heard what Daya learned last night, but in case you didn’t, why don’t you fill them in, Daya?”
I was surprised he let me speak, but I ran with it.
“Thanks, Bull. My contact at the prison where Marshall was is a guard. He’s a former Marine I served with.
He’s reliable. He told me Marshall was released last night because a paperwork issue prevented his release on Friday as planned.
His lawyer took him to his previous residence.
The ankle monitor was to be placed last night, and then tomorrow at ten a.m., he’ll meet with his parole officer.
Once that’s done, he’ll be acquirable.” I kept it as concise as possible.
“Good overview. And she’s right. After tomorrow’s chat with his PO, we can go in and extract him at any time. Before we talk about when and how, Outlaw has some information for us, as well, brother, fill everyone in,” Bull smoothly transitioned over. Outlaw gave his president a chin lift.
“Thanks. So I’ve been digging into Marshall Webb’s past. I looked into Klaus Beyer, Daya’s prison guard friend, too.
Let’s start with Klaus. Everything I’ve found so far points to him as a reliable, loyal man with a solid sense of justice.
He owes his life to Daya, making him extremely loyal to her.
I don’t believe we have any reason to worry that he’s telling us false information or will point the cops at us when Webb disappears.
I do think the law will question Daya, Breezy, and Jess, just because they were the ones who sent him away. But if they stay strong, we’ll be fine.
“Regarding Webb’s future disappearance. I’ve been laying a trail that will mislead anyone hunting him into believing he skipped town and is no longer even in the States.
His accounts will show as drained because he transferred the funds, but tracing them will be impossibly complicated.
I’ll occasionally post false sightings in other countries to reinforce that notion.
I believe he’ll become a cold case relatively soon.
“On to Webb’s past. There’s a lot of shadiness there.
Whispers and rumors of young girls complaining that he was inappropriate with them, but none of them ever went beyond that.
I found a few names and looked into the girls.
Three of them, ages fourteen to sixteen, had large deposits made in increments of nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine dollars, so it slid past the IRS’s flag for anything over ten grand.
These girls’ families received a total of nineteen thousand nine hundred ninety-nine dollars each.
“The account the money came from isn’t noted.
They deposited it themselves, meaning they were given cash.
However, when I checked Webb’s banking records, I found withdrawals corresponding to those deposits, though he withdrew the funds over a week's timeframe.” Outlaw paused. His gaze captured mine.
“Daya, I decided to explore Webb’s email and social media accounts. It’s a shame how easily you can get into them to find information, but it’s great for us. I know why Webb suddenly decided to quit his job in North Dakota and come back to Tennessee. It’s all due to a post made by Jess.”
This statement made me lean forward. “Jess’s post? Which one?” My brother didn’t do much on social media.
