46~ Amayra's shenanigans
I groaned as sunlight entered our room through the window. But when I tried to move, I shrieked. With a cry, I laid down again on the bed and looked at my husband who was sleeping peacefully after giving me this much pain.
But a smile made its way to my face when I saw his mouth parted open and hair messed up as he snored lightly. The last night had been wild, I never expected us to get this wild provided it was the first time for both of us.
Heat crawled up to my cheeks as I remembered what happened yesterday.
We couldn't get off our hands from each other.
Adhyay seemed anything but a gentleman which he usually does.
He lost his control and for the first time, I saw a wild Adhyay.
Not that I complain, I loved this new side of my well groomed husband.
I ran my fingers on his face and smiled. He looks so handsome when he is asleep. I leaned in to kiss his forehead but he suddenly opened his eyes and whispered, "Why head? Kiss me on the lips".
His husky voice ignited a fire in me and I felt my cheeks getting burned. He pulled my hand and said, "You weren't this shy last night wifey".
I looked down with embarrassment and he pulled my hand saying, "On a second thought, we will be better if you just kiss me on my forehead".
I looked up in confusion, my hair strands blocking the view and I scrunched my eyebrows. What does he mean to say?
"You didn't brush and you have millions of germs in your mouth and I would like to prevent getting sick", he stated with a sly smile and I gasped. He just didn't say this!
"What do you mean?"
He chuckled and sat up. He wasn't wearing anything, I mean literally anything except his boxers.
"I mean that there are germs in your mouth and even in mine which will get transmitted when we, you know, kiss", he explained and I grunted. Is he insane or what?
I crossed my arms and said, "You know, I might never kiss you because of this golden information you provided me with".
He laughed and said, "We will see. Both of us know that you can't resist me".
I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him. He got the guts to answer back and that too this? His laughs increased, making me more pissed off. He threw the pillow back on me and said, "Come here wifey, let's do it once more".
I grimaced and said, "I am sore down there and do you remember that today is Sunday?"
"So what?"
I casted a bewildered look at him and yelled, "Dr. Adhyay you promised our daughter to take her to the aquarium on sunday, that is today! She might be wondering why her parents are sleeping till umm 9AM?"
He groaned and hid him under the blanket. I huffed and snatched the blanket away and yelled, "Wake up stupid!"
"No! Let's postpone the plan to next week. Amayra will understand that her parents were busy making a sibling for her", he mischievously said with a wink and I gasped at his shameless behaviour. He covered himself with the blanket and pulled me in too.
His bulky arm went around my waist and the other one held my neck lightly. I struggled to come out of his deadly claws and roared, "WAKE UP!"
He nuzzled his nose in my neck and mumbled, "No honey, let me sleep with my wife".
I nearly cried, " Amayra will be so upset Adhyay. I don't want her to cry and I know you don't want that as well. Please wake up, I promise we will do that at night".
He suddenly looked up and smirked. I rolled my eyes at him and yelled, "Forget it, you are not getting me for the rest of the month. Now go and bathe, you rot".
He grimaced and replied, "You promised wifey".
"And you promised to Amayra", I asserted.
"Fine, I am going to bathe. Painkiller is the drawer, have one", he said and stood up. I shrieked and hid my face inside the blanket. Even though he is wearing underwear, it still feels awkward to see him half naked.
His loud laugh echoed in the room as he snatched away the blanket saying, "You saw me yesterday, why are you shy now?"
"That's because it was dark yesterday and now it's morning. Go na", I whined and hid my eyes with my palm.
"Next time we will do it in daylight, what do you think?" He teased amidst his silly laughs. I didn't respond to anything and peeked to see if he was gone. He was still there with his stupid smirk plastered on his face. I groaned and mumbled, "I have to freshen up too! Will you please go?"
"As you wish wifey, but don't forget the promise", he reminded and closed the bathroom door with a thud.
I sighed and looked at the wall clock. Amayra will be here anytime soon.
It's a surprise that she didn't trouble Hrishit or else Amayra and Hrishit keep on fighting.
I had almost expected the three of them to disturb our passionate love making session but it never happened.
Amayra is slowly starting to adapt in this huge house.
I still remember how happy Amayra was when we told her that she can call us mumma and papa.
She was overjoyed and instantly uttered papa.
Adhyay had been so emotional that day, that he cried for hours while I only smiled at my two precious possessions.
Soon after, Amayra started calling me mumma as well.
We had a small puja at home to welcome all the happiness that we had suddenly been showered upon. I decided to take a long break from writing to enjoy every moment I have with my family.
Amayra is going to start school very soon and before that both of us want to spend a lot of time with our daughter. That explains why Adhyay bluffed about taking her to the aquarium.
For some reason, our daughter has developed quite an interest in fishes.
Probably because of Adhyay. He and Amayra were once watching a documentary about fishes.
Stupid Adhyay didn't understand that Amayra is too young to watch documentaries but after that she has been forcing us to make her watch fishes.
People say that children pick up habits from their elders and I experienced that.
Amayra acts just like Adhyay, she doesn't eat what he dislikes, even imitates Adhyay's way of talking.
One day when I was trying to teach her ABCD, she grabbed Adhyay's spectacles and wore them.
After that she started talking like my husband.
Adhyay had laughed a lot that day and even teased me that our daughter likes him more, well it is no lie.
She feels more attached to him than me. I don't complain, it's nice to see daughter and father bonding.
I almost feel myself in Amayra and that pleases me that at least Amayra got a loving father.
"What are you thinking?" Adhyay's sudden question scared me. My eyes widened as I saw him leaning on the bathroom door in just a towel around his torso.
"N-nothing", I stammered but I was getting shy seeing him half naked. He smirked and came closer until he was near the bed.
"You are thinking of me", he stated and I shook my head, not breaking eye contact.
"Lie", he said again and stepped on the mattress. I gulped and scurried back until my back crashed with the headboard. His hair was dripping and his warm breath was making me feel jittery. On top of that, I was wearing nothing but just his shirt which he pulled over me last night.
"L-leave me", I stammered but his rough hand came to caress my cheek. My eyes closed at their own accord and I unwillingly submitted into my husband
"How can you be so cute and tempting at the same time?", he softly asked as if I was a cute soft toy.
"A-Adhyay, we have no time for this", I tried to say but he shushed me down by moving his slender finger to my lips. The same fingers with which he pleasured me.
"I know but we are not over", he said and moved away. I took a breath of relief and opened my eyes. Before he could do anything, I quickly ran into the bathroom and banged the door close.
Taking the support of the door, I took deep breaths and looked into the mirror. My cheeks were so red as if someone had painted them and my hair flew in every direction. I was still wearing his white shirt which was too loose on me. But I did look nice, maybe that is what marriage does to you.
Shaking away all the sinful thoughts, I quickly took a warm shower and wrapped myself in the soft turquoise towel that belonged to me. And that was when I realised that I forgot to bring my clothes.
I let out a cry and slowly opened the door to see if he was still in the room.
I peeked and when I was sure that he wasn't in the room, I stepped outside, still cautious.
I don't want to wake up the monster in him, he looks innocent but god knows what dirty thoughts he hides beneath his cute smile.
He showed me his sinful side yesterday. If someone would have seen him, they wouldn't believe that he was the same Dr. Bansal who is so sweet to everyone.
I gulped when I saw a fresh pair of clothes neatly kept on the bed but simultaneously my heart melted when I realised that it was my husband who did it.
He even kept my undergarments, that's really awkward.
I wouldn't like anyone to see my underwear, it's so cringey but he had the guts to mess up with my wardrobe.
I gasped as soon as the fact set in that he must have messed up my cupboard! He is a messy person, I came to know after a week of our marriage. He throws things here and there, often ending up losing them. The only thing he keeps safe is his mighty collection of books.
I took the clothes in the bathroom and changed into them as fast as I could. I just hope he didn't mess my cupboard that much. But if he did, he is going to arrange everything back into their places!
Just when I was going to open my wardrobe, someone knocked. With a groan, I stomped towards the door and opened it. There I found the two mischief makers of our house, Amayra and Hrishit.
"Mumma", Amayra exclaimed and wrapped her tiny arms around my legs. I smiled and ruffled my daughter's head and said, "Good morning both of you".
"Good morning bhabhi", Hrishit greeted. To my astonishment his hair were messed up and he looked as if he had just returned from hell. I looked down at my daughter who grinned at me.
Narrowing my eyes, I asked, "You didn't trouble your chachu, did you?"
Amayra shook her head with a cute pout and said, "No mumma, I waz a gud girl".
It only fuelled my suspicion so I glanced at Hrishit who smiled nervously at me. I looked at Amyra who was now facing her uncle and was glaring at him? So little missy did trouble that poor soul.
"Hrishit, I am sorry if she troubled you", I apologetically said and Amayra snapped her neck to look at me.
"N-no bhabhi, we enjoyed together, right piddu?", he nervously replied and let out a nervous laugh. Amayra bobbled her neck up and down, saying, "Oh mumma, don't wolly".
I apologetically smiled at my brother in law and said, "I think you need to sleep, you don't seem well".
I pointed at the dark circles beneath his eyes to prove my point. He nodded like a scared puppy and went away. After he was gone, I closed the door and looked at my daughter who looked at me with a smile. Just like Adhyay, she smiles cutely whenever she knows that I am going to scold her.
"Why did you trouble your uncle?" I softly asked, bending to her level. She pouted and smacked her palm on her forehead dramatically.
"Offoo mumma, he tloubled me. He don't klow ABDC", she exclaimed and tried to climb up on the bed. I chuckled at her antics and helped her climb onto the bed.
"ABCD", I corrected her.
"Yes yes, ABCD. Mumma you wolly too much, papa says people get old if they wolly", she said and cupped my cheeks with her tiny hands. I scrunched my eyebrows at her statement and said, "Do I look old baby?"
She giggled and said, "Yess mumma. You old, papa old, Amyla young".
I giggled and poked her nose saying, "Aww Amayra is a cute little girl, my baby". She nodded and wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Look at this! Mother and daughter hugging each other to death, I will join you too", we heard Adhyay's amused voice and in a second he joined us in the group hug. I sighed, enjoying the presence of the two most important people in my life.
But will Adhyay ever leave his antics ever? I felt his hand creeping on my back and then lower. I glared at him and wriggled my eyebrows to let him know that our daughter was just there, squeezed right between us. He winked and blew a flying kiss at me.
I rolled my eyes and broke the hug, still throwing a deadly glare at him.
"Mumma papa! Won't we go to aq-aquilium?" Amayra's cute question led me to break my gaze from Adhyay. I looked in her big doe eyes and said, "Aquarium?"
She nodded eagerly and jumped down the bed.
"You say you take me to see fish", she complained.
Both I and Adhyay looked at each other and bursted out laughing at her cute nature.
She looked at us with the innocent eyes of her as Adhyay said, "But before going, we need to have breakfast and you know how much your dadi gets angry when Amayra misses breakfast".
Amayra nodded, probably remembering how mom refused to talk to her after she didn't eat her breakfast one day.
Mom loves Amayra too much and that is why Amayra spends the whole day with her grandparents.
And mom hates when she refuses to eat. We came to know that Amayra didn't eat much at the orphanage too.
Adhyay says that it might be because the food there was not very good and she developed a habit to skip meals. When mom came to know that, she started ordering the maids to make whatever Amayra likes, but that doesn't means that Amayra does eat healthy food.
Adhyay pays special attention to her diet and that is the reason why she has gotten healthier in the past few months. Her cheeks are more fuller now and even her hair texture has changed. It still hurts me so much to think that she once lived in an orphanage without any parents.
