Chapter 11 #2

I want to say more to her, but I can’t. I don’t know what to say.

I did tell her family that I saw her, but that she ran before I could talk to her more.

Yes, it’s a lie, but I wanted them to at least know she’s alive.

I explained that, from the looks of it, she was away from the traffickers but seemed to be on the run.

I know the truth, but I don’t want to tell them.

My girl allows me to help her into the passenger seat. I open the back door for Gurgi to jump inside. He didn’t try to stop me from taking her, which reassures me that he’s okay with me.

“How did you find us?” She turns to look at me as we pull out of the parking lot.

I’m about to answer her when my comm clicks on.

“You have a tail, guys. I’m taking care of it, but you were right, Titan.” Thanatos’s voice comes across the link.

“Fuck.” I glance in the rearview and side mirrors.

Without missing a thing, my girl whips around and looks behind us.

“Did you know?” I can’t keep the bite out of my voice as she turns to look at me before turning back to watch for our tail.

“I figured it out last night. I’ve been feeling like I was being followed for days, but last night I saw them.” She pauses. “It’s why we were leaving today.”

“Goddamn it, Stormy. I told you I’d protect you. Why can’t you trust me?” I look in the rearview as the car behind us skids to a stop, hitting another vehicle.

“Taken care of. See you back at the warehouse,” Thanatos says, and I thank him before turning back to my girl. She’s now facing forward.

“How did you do that?” she asks. “How is that you and these men act more like a military unit than an MC?”

I can’t give her the answers to those questions, but instead of ignoring them, I give her a partial truth.

“We’ve all served in some form. Me, not in the military, but tomorrow I’ll be able to answer all your questions.

Okay?” I take my eyes off the road for a moment and take her in.

She’s lost some weight. Her hair now has longer braids mixed into the dreadlocks.

She has it all up in a bun on top of her head.

“You look beautiful. A little too sexy for my liking around other men, but still beautiful.”

Her skin blushes that shade of pink it does when she comes, and it instantly makes me hard as a rock.

A couple of blocks off the strip, I turn into an industrial area and pull through a gate into a large warehouse door.

This first floor is empty except for our vehicles.

The second floor has apartments for each of us.

Only a small team came with us. Cronus wanted to keep a low profile, and a large group would make us stick out.

Something has been bothering him, and I’m not sure what.

After we questioned Diego several more times, we still never got the name out of him.

He died in the Hole along with his guards.

The only additional information he gave us was that Maisy’s friend Syndall died a few months ago.

He knew this because Ahriman told him. We still need to confirm that when we capture Ahriman, and we will.

I’m not letting him get his hands on Stormy ever again.

Pulling to stop, I park next to the SUV Cronus is in with Maisy.

They get out, and she’s arguing with him.

Before I can get a word in, he’s rushing off with Maisy over his shoulder, taking the stairs two at a time.

Something about that woman sets him off, and the normally very controlled man is all emotion and action.

“Come on, we can talk in our apartment.”

“I can’t stay here. I won’t stay. I have to go. Now that Maisy is safe, I’ll leave her with you, and Gurgi and I will go.”

Exhaling deeply, I reach up and slide my fingers through my hair, pulling it back into a knot and securing it with the tie on my wrist. She watches me the whole time, her eyes focused on my arms, chest, and neck.

The thought that she’s as attracted to me as I am to her makes me chuckle quietly.

I’m about to take a page out of Cronus’s book.

I move toward her, bend, and toss her over my shoulder. She squeals and calls for Gurgi, but he just huffs and follows along.

“Good boy,” I say, patting his head.

When we reach our door, I step over the threshold and close it behind us. That’s when I let her down, sliding her down the front of my body until she’s finally standing in front of me. I cup her face in my hands.

“I have so much to tell you, but first I need your lips, baby.”

I lean down and take her mouth in a deep kiss. She opens, and before I know it, we’re sitting on the sofa, ripping each other’s clothes off. Her outfit comes off in one slide of the zipper down the front.

Stormy shifts and stands up to slide the material down her body, taking off her thong in the process. I strip out of my clothes before I lay her down in front of me.

“I need inside you, baby.”

“Yes, Atlas. I’ve missed you so much,” she confesses, and it settles my heart. Maybe when she hears my plan, she’ll finally believe I can help her.

Sliding between her thighs, my cock finds her entrance, and in one deep thrust, I’m fully seated inside her. Her core spasms, and she wraps her legs around me. She’s just as hot for me as I am for her. Her pussy slick with her need.

“Sorry, this is going to be fast. Cronus is going to want to meet soon.”

“I’m so close already.”

Reaching between us, I circle her clit with my finger as I start pumping in and out of her. Her body arches, and she pushes her breasts up. I’m about to suck on one of her nipples when she covers them quickly.

“I just had them pierced a couple of weeks ago.”

I stop my thrusting and nuzzle her hands.

“Move them. I need to see.”

She moves her hands, and there, through her nipples, are gold posts with light purple hearts on each end of the barbell. I kiss each one before moving to suck and lick her breasts, avoiding the nipples that I know are tender.

I leave several love bites on her skin before I start pumping into her again. Both of us chasing our climaxes now. She’s clawing at my sides and back. Stormy leans up and pulls on one of my nipple piercings, almost sending me over.

“Please, Atlas. I need to come,” she begs, and I go back to teasing her clit. She lights up, screaming my name, and I groan as I finally find my own release.

I cage her in with my body, holding myself deep inside her. Stormy has her arms and legs wrapped around me. My elbows rest by her head, holding me up.

“I can save you, if you’ll let me. I can’t tell you everything yet, but give me a chance. Be mine?”

Stormy’s eyes flutter open, and she stares up at me. “I am yours always, Atlas. Even if I’m not with you, I’m yours.”

“Baby, you saying that means a lot to me, but you need to know that we are getting married.”

She tenses up, but I keep her from moving. “It’s the only way I can tell you the complete truth, and it’s the best way to save you.”

“How? I don’t understand.” Her voice is soft, but her sky-blue eyes bore into me.

“I promise my life to you. Okay?”

“Okay,” she finally says, and I know I have her.

We lie together, holding each other for a bit longer.

“Why is your dog’s name Gurgi?” I ask as her fingers trace the tattoos on my chest, and I trace one of her scars along her hairline.

“Have you ever seen The Black Cauldron?”

“No. Klay and I were raised in foster care, and they didn’t think we should be allowed to watch movies.”

“Well, you should. Gurgi is a loyal companion. He always asks for ‘crunchies and munchies.’ My Gurgi always wants to eat too, so I gave him that name. I knew when I woke up with him next to me, he would be loyal to me.”

“He’s a good dog for you, baby.”

A pounding sounds at our door. “Cronus wants to talk to you both,” Hermes calls from the other side.

“Okay, we’ll be there soon,” I shout.
