The second Tristin buzzes up to the apartment, something in me snaps.
I can’t sit in that room, listening to him laugh, touch her, breathe her air like he deserves it.
I need distance. Control.
Before I do something unforgivable.
I grab my gym bag. Head for the door.
“I’m gonna go train,” I mumble.
Alana nods softly, heels dangling from her fingers, cheeks flushed from the wine.
Glowing. Drunk on nostalgia and bad decisions.
I pause. One last glance.
“Remember the rules, Little Diamond.”
I need her to stay safe.
To stay in this apartment.
Her mouth quirks. “Copy,” she says, with a fucking salute.
I walk out without looking back.
Straight to the gym.
I need to hit something that isn’t him.
