CHAPTER 12

Iwas so blind. I don’t know how I didn’t see this before.

Annie heats up under my little prey’s gaze but doesn’t reciprocate the sign of affection when Scarlett tucks stray hair behind her ear.

It’s clear to anyone watching that the two have feelings for each other, but they only show it when they think no one is watching.

Well, newsflash ladies, I’m going to be watching from here on out more closely than ever before.

They won’t be able to hide from me, not anymore.

My knees hurt from crouching down and watching them from under the shade of a tree.

Annie was reading a book until her friends ran off in different directions, practically ignoring my little prey the whole afternoon until then.

I can’t help but wonder why they don’t just be together.

It’s not like people back home care. For fuck’s sakes, we have a gay mayor and an assistant mayor that’s in a four-person relationship, with a huge age gap between him and all his partners.

My point is that her coming out wouldn’t be all that bad. Well, unless her parents are against it, or maybe it’s because of Scarlett’s parents. Either way, my little prey is going to be mine by the end of this week, and I’m not sure I want to share her with anyone, not even her friends or Annie.

My interest is instantly piqued when the pair get up off their respectable beach blankets and pick up their belongings. I wonder if they forgot about Dove playing in the water with a group of people I don’t recognize, or if they’re intentionally ditching her.

By the time they get back to their site, I’m already there waiting in the tree line to see what they’re going to do next.

I know this is crazy and I’m being ridiculous, but I need to see how this turns out without them knowing I’m watching.

They might freak out if they know I’m here too.

It’s not like I could rationally explain how we all magically ended up here at the same time.

Hardly anyone knows I have this campsite.

People back home know I’m always gone for the holiday and for my birthday, but not the details. I’d like to keep it that way.

Annie dashes into her tent, leaving my little prey out by the smoldering fire pit by herself.

“Get your laptop ready, I’m just going to change,” Annie calls from inside her tiny ass tent.

“You don’t need to change, just get out here,” Scarlett quips back as she tries to peek into Annie’s tent to catch a glimpse of her.

Such a naughty little girl. She has no idea that once I’m done with her, she won’t know who she is anymore. She’ll be forever changed, with no way to go back.

When Annie emerges from the tent, she has a mesh top over her bathing suit, and a pair of jean shorts that barely cover her round, plump ass. For a second, I understand why Scarlett has fallen for her. She’s sweet, curvy in all the right places, wickedly dedicated, and smart.

“Why did you have to do that?” Scarlett runs her fingers over the mesh fabric of Annie's top as they both sit down at the picnic table.

My eyes lock onto the two of them. My little prey snakes her hand up Annie's top, reaching her bathing suit. Annie lets out a low moan, probably from Scarlett touching her nipple.

“Shh, baby, or you're going to draw everyone's attention.”

My little prey warns her best friend before pulling her top up to reveal the nipple she’s playing with. Scarlett licks her lips, then presses her hand over Annie's mouth. There’s no doubt she’s doing it to keep her quiet as she latches onto Annie's nipple.

My cock gets hard in my pants, begging for me to touch as I watch Scarlett switch to Annie's other nipple. The two sit perched up on the table, not caring too much that anyone could walk by and see them.

Part of me wishes I wasn’t hiding in the shadows, so I could be beside them spending time with my little prey. I could help her get off, just like she is Annie.

I think back to the first time I laid eyes on her.

The way she looked at me when I walked into The Rainbow Reading Room was like her body was on fire.

All it took was one rapid bat of her eyelashes for me to decide she was going to be mine.

She had green paint on her fingers and jeans, her hair pinned up in a messy bun, a pair of sunglasses resting on the top of her head, and a low-cut spaghetti strap black tank top.

She was like the perfect replica of every blonde bombshell girl from the next store, but the thing is she had just turned eighteen.

I tried like hell to not show my interest, to hide my lust, but every time we run into each other, it’s becoming increasingly harder to keep my emotions at bay.

Eventually, I lost my cool altogether and started following her like a shadow on the days I could, just lingering in the background of her life and inserting myself where I could.

That’s why I don’t understand how I completely missed the whole her and Annie situation, or them even coming here.

How do I live in the same town as her and have no idea she was going to be at the same godforsaken place as me?

Clearly, I’m not as good a stalker as I thought I was, but this week I’ll change that too.
