Chapter Fifteen #4
“Can you drink with that on?” He pointed at her ankle monitor. “Oh shit, can you even be outside with that on?”
“Shut up.” Tyler hit him in the stomach. “Yes, I can drink, and yes, I can be outside. I just have to be back in the house by two.”
“Ok, jailbird, I’ll make sure you’re back by one o’clock, cool?”
“Cool.”
“Come on, let me introduce you to a couple of people.” Logic took her by the hand, while Aria followed closely behind.
Tyler was almost unrecognizable in her light makeup and baseball cap. Her black lipstick was bold, but she pulled it off, taking her dress down look to another level. Instead of her normal beat-a-nigga Birkin, she was rocking a Glamaholic fanny pack that matched her hat.
“You don’t think anyone will recognize me, do you?” Tyler paused, stopping him from walking.
“If they do, they won’t say shit. These my people,” Logic assured her. “You’re safe with me, baby girl.”
“Period!” Aria snapped her fingers, walking ahead of them like she knew where to go.
Still holding Logic’s hand, Tyler allowed him to lead her through the front yard.
Being in Logic’s presence had her on a different high.
He was so calm and down to earth, something she wasn’t used to.
Logic didn’t have to be heard to be seen.
His presence was enough. He spoke to a few people, dapped others, and gave a few women one armed hugs, never letting go of Tyler’s hand.
“Damn Lo, who this?” Someone called out as he stepped on the porch.
“Mine,” Logic tossed over his shoulder. “Focus on the dice game nigga, not her.”
“Seriously Lo?” Scottie blocked the doorway as he tried to enter the house. “You really showing your ass today.”
“Chill Scottie,” Logic warned her.
“Don’t tell me to chill like we weren’t just laid up all month.”
“Oop.” Tyler covered her mouth. “I know that’s right, girl. Stake yo claim, sis.”
“Aht aht, Thugger, not you being messy.” Aria twisted her lips. “You ready, friend?”
“Yes, I have enough drama in my life.”
“Nah.” Logic placed his hand on Tyler’s stomach. “You straight.”
“She straight?” Scottie snapped. “Nigga, you got me fucked up! Who the fuck is this gothic looking bitch?”
“She called you gothic,” Aria giggled. “Thugger, get your girl. My friend can’t swing, but I promise I’ll knock this bitch right up out them last season YSLs.”
“Do it.” Scottie lurched forward, but Logic grabbed her arm.
“Chill the fuck out,” he hissed. “You making a scene and it’s not that serious.”
“Oh, it’s definitely that serious. You out here inviting bitches to your friend's house as if I’m not posted up with you.”
“Thugger,” Aria warned. Her best friend wasn’t going to be another bitch.
Logic glanced toward the front door and sighed in relief when he saw Pearl pushing her way through the crowd of people watching them. He knew for a fact that Tyler and Aria didn’t mind jumping people, and he’d hate for them to make Scottie a meme because she couldn’t control her feelings.
“Uh, Scottie, I know you ain’t raising your voice in my house,” Pearl bucked. “And move, you’re blocking the door. My door.”
“Whatever.” Scottie rolled her eyes. “Lo, can I have a word?”
“Give me a minute,” he sighed. Scottie rolled her eyes and stormed away.
“Oh ok, Lo, not you starting trouble. I expect this from Al and even Duce, but not you.” Pearl folded her arms. “Who’s your friend?”
“My fault, you know I wouldn’t bring no bullshit to your doorstep.” Logic ran his hand down the side of his face. “But this my homegirl Ty.” He placed his hand on the small of Tyler’s back.
“Ok, Ty.” Pearl snapped her fingers. “You cute and the black lipstick is giving I’m sweet but I’ll beat a bitch up.”
“I come in peace,” Tyler promised.
“Nah, the ankle monitor says she’ll beat a bitch up,” Al taunted, coming out of the kitchen. “What’s up, problematic ass girl? Should have known this nigga was going to double back to you.”
“What’s up, Sir Talks A Lotta Shit?” Aria shot back, not giving Tyler a chance to respond.
“Don’t come into my people crib talking shit to me.”
“Then don’t bring your loud ass over here talking shit.”
“Go sit outside.” Al pointed to the door.
“Boy bye.” Pearl waved him off. “We all talk shit to yo ass. You ain’t nobody important.” She playfully pushed him. “Anyway, this my sister Diamond, the man in the kitchen that favors Method Man in the 90s is my man, Duce. He’s a hoe and a producer. Nigga be out here serving dick and beats.”
“What kinda introduction is that?” Al chuckled.
“I’m just letting them know.” Pearl sipped from her cup. “I have a lil crush on Logic, so if you see me smiling in his face, don’t beat me up.”
“P, chill,” Logic chuckled. “What do you want to drink?” He turned to Tyler.
“Girllllll,” Diamond dragged, holding her cup up before Tyler could reply. “My sister made some fuck it up buckets and baby I’m not feeling no pain.” She danced. “Get you one of these and a shot. You'll be good all night.”
“I’ll take that,” Tyler snickered. “And this is my best friend Aria.” She pointed to the left, where Aria was bobbing her head to the music. The joint she smoked before they left had her feeling nice.
“Lo, I’ll get them a drink,” Pearl assured him. “You go handle that situation.” She pointed to Scottie, who was now standing outside on the phone.
“Yea Lo,” Tyler poked his chest, “Go handle that situation before I do.” She winked.
“Now what if that girl beat your ass?” Logic cocked his head to the side.
“Then I’mma walk her ass like a dog,” Aria answered for her. “Now, where the Henny at?”
“The fuck?” Al's mouth fell open. “Strong throat ass.” He shook his head. “Nah, she gotta go. Tethers, Henny, black Chargers, and black lips. They Eastside as fuck.”
“Mack and Bewick to be exact.” Tyler let him know, causing Al to throw his hands in the air.
“I’m going in the kitchen,” he fussed. “Lo, hurry up before they start stealing shit.”
“Boy, go in the kitchen before we jump yo ass.” Aria jumped at him, making Pearl and Diamond laugh.
“I like them.” Pearl clapped her hands. “Lo,” she called out. “I like her.”
“Me too,” Logic shot over his shoulder.
???
Standing on the curb, Scottie paced back and forth with the phone glued to her ear. To say she was vexed was an understatement. She didn’t even know Logic was fucking with anyone else and then in walks some bitch that looks like she worships the devil.
“OMG Amber! You should see her ugly ass,” Scottie laughed into the phone.
“Bitch came over in some little shorts, a graphic t-shirt, and a baseball hat. She so fucking shaky, her ass couldn’t even look me in the eyes.
I don’t know where Lo found this low-class bitch, but I'm about to end that shit,” she ranted.
“I wasn’t helping that nigga with his bad ass sisters and horny ass brother for my health, the fuck. ”
“You not wrong, friend,” Amber snorted, facilitating Scottie’s rant. “Take a picture of her when you go back in.”
“I’ll try, but Lo guarding the bitch like she's all that.”
“Is he?”
“Yes, and I’m so fucking frustrated. Like damn, I know I messed up by leaving, but I’ve been showing up for him since I came back, and this nigga still won’t commit.
Now that he’s signed, bitches are going to be coming out of the woodwork to get a piece of this nigga and he popping out with this new hoe. ”
“Yea, you know how that goes, but Lo isn’t like the rest of these niggas.”
“And that’s what I’m afraid of because who the fuck is this random bitch!” Scottie voiced.
“You want me to pull up?” Amber asked. “We can scope out the competition.”
“Nah, it’s cool. I’m not going to be here for long. This house partying shit is beneath me.”
“Right, this ain’t the 90s.”
“You hear me. Then this nigga stringing me along like some dumb bitch, like I'm not that bitch.”
“You is and you need to start acting like it. Logic is cool, but you done been with bigger and better niggas. Now that I’m signed, you can start traveling with me and doing my hair again. We can put you back on the map, fuck them niggas.”
“And see, that’s why I fuck with you, Amber.” Scottie smiled. “I miss having my own name, living in a nigga shadow is not for me.”
“Then don’t,” Amber firmly stated. “If Logic choosing another bitch over you, then so be it. Move on and let that nigga raise his bad ass siblings by himself.”
“Right,” Scottie laughed. “Nigga wanna be a daddy so bad. His sisters get on my fucking nerves, and he lets them lil hoes get away with murder.”
“Damn, tell me how you really feel.” His deep voice startled her, making Scottie jump.
“Lo, I-” she stuttered, wondering how much he heard.
“You what?” He coolly slid his hands in his pockets.
Scottie ended the call and folded her arms.
“I’m sorry, I spoke out of frustration.”
“Nah, you said what you been feeling, don’t sugarcoat that shit for me.”
“I’m saying, since when do you bring bitches around?”
“Since I fucking want to,” Logic snapped. “You think because we fuck, and you do lil shit for me, it earns you some kind of obligation? A commitment?”
“It does! I’ve been holding you down for months, and now that you have a record deal, you’re going to push me to the side?”
“Get the fuck outta here. You been holding me down, but fucking niggas on the side?”
“What?” Her mouth went dry.
Scottie knew for a fact she’d been keeping her shit under wraps. Of course, she was fucking with someone on the side. Logic wasn’t ready to commit, and she wasn’t about to put all her eggs in one basket.
“Oh, you thought because I didn’t comment on the situation you thought a nigga was stupid?” He cocked his head to the side. “I don’t give a fuck what you do with that pussy, shorty. It ain’t mine and hasn’t been for years. I fuck you because I’m too lazy to find another bitch to lay up with.”
“Lo, I-” Scottie panicked.
“There’s no need to explain because I don’t give a fuck. I’m about to go back in here and chill.”
“What about me?”
“You can either chill or move the fuck around.”
