Chapter Twenty-One
On Monday morning, Logic dropped his siblings off at school and headed back home to get some rest before meeting Rahlo, Czar, and Terri at the label.
Things with his album were progressing, and Terri needed to make sure they were on the same page.
Rahlo was looking to release the album in spring to promote a summer tour, and as long as things went as planned, they were on track.
“Lo,” a feminine voice called out as he bopped up the sidewalk.
“What’s up, Scottie?” Logic asked without turning around. He saw her car parked when he pulled into the lot but chose to ignore it. It was eight-thirty in the morning, it was cold, and arguing about futile shit wasn’t on his to-do list for the day.
“Can we talk?” Scottie asked, stepping on the stoop behind him.
“We don’t have shit to talk about, shorty.” Logic glanced back at her as he opened the front door. Without being invited in, Scottie followed behind him, shutting the door.
“Seriously? After all the time we spent together, I can’t get a conversation? I mean you owe me that at least.”
“I don’t owe you shit.” Logic dropped his keys on the table and turned to face her. “You didn’t do shit for me for free, so what the fuck do I owe you?”
“Time! You owe me your time. I was here with you when you were struggling, but the second you’re up, you kick me to the side to hang with a drug addict.”
Thanks to Joey, the entire East Side knew that Logic and Tyler were kicking it.
While they were at the paintball park, Joey recorded videos, making sure to get the couple in the background.
He posted them to his story and within a couple of hours, every streamer, influencer, and blogger was sharing the videos.
For months Tyler had been missing in action and her popping up with Logic had the people talking.
“Watch your mouth,” Logic warned.
“And you defending the bitch.” Scottie chuckled. “You can’t be this stupid.”
“I am.” He nodded. “I’m stupid as fuck for allowing you back into my space after you went to New York and started fucking a married nigga.
I’m stupid for thinking you cared about my siblings, but you only did shit for them so you could stay under my nuts.
I’m stupid for being in this bitch going back and forth with you.
I don’t have time for this shit, Scottie.
You here for clout shorty, nothing more. ”
“So that’s it?” She wiped the tears that dripped from her eyes.
“On some real shit, Scottie, use your brain. You and I both know ain’t shit happening between us. If anything, you crying because you thought I was a fucking sucker and you caught a lick.”
“B-but-
“Hold up.” Logic put his finger up, stopping her in mid-sentence. “What up doe?” He grinned, pressing the phone to his ear.
“Good morning,” Tyler cooed. “Put the phone to your dick so I can say good morning.”
“Mannnnn,” Logic laughed out loud. “Get the fuck outta here, not after you left us hanging.”
Scottie’s heart dropped. She had known Logic for a long time and never had she seen all thirty-two of his teeth.
Whoever was on the other end of the phone had him cheesin’ hard as hell and it made her sick.
Even when they were in a relationship, he wasn’t giving her the energy he was giving the caller.
“So I can’t say hi to my friend?” Tyler quizzed. “I’m feeling like Boosie right now.”
“How Boosie be friend?” Aria hyped her up in the background.
“Put ya dick on live right now for a thousand dollars!”
“Mannn, yall funny as fuck. Why you playing on my phone?”
“Because Aria came over here with orange juice and champagne. We were supposed to be drinking mimosas, but she forgot to pour the orange juice. I might be a lil tipsy.”
“Tell her don’t be over there feeding you that bullshit this early.”
“Are you going to come feed me?” Tyler flirted.
“What do you want to eat, big baby?” Logic grinned.
“Nothing, I’m just talking shit. I actually needed a drink, I had a long night,” she sighed. Between nightmares and deep thoughts, Tyler woke up with bags under her eyes. She felt like a zombie, but after a hot shower and a couple of glasses of wine, she was back to normal.
“Why you ain’t call me?”
“I’m calling you now.”
“After the fact,” Logic scolded her. “I told you to call me when you needed me.”
Unable to stomach the disrespect anymore, Scottie cleared her throat. “Lo,” she snapped, reminding him that she was standing there. “Are we going to finish talking or are you going to keep giggling on the phone with some bitch like I'm not standing here?”
“Who is that?” Tyler frowned, cutting the music down to catch the woman’s voice.
“Scottie,” he answered, rubbing the back of his head.
“Who?” She furrowed her eyebrows as if she didn’t know who he was talking about.
“Thrash mouth.”
“Ohhhh.” Tyler licked her top lip. “Mm. Ok, I see. So, when you couldn’t fuck me, you called your white tongue booty buddy. Noted.”
“His what?” Aria cracked up in the background.
“His white tongue booty buddy.”
“I didn’t fuck her,” Logic calmly stated.
“Don’t lie to whatever bitch you talking to,” Scottie yelled over his shoulder. “He fucked me bitch and he been fucking me. The fuck you thought this was!”
“Bro, back the fuck up.”
“Nah, don’t tell me to back because you on the phone caking up a bitch like shit sweet. Is that the lil druggie hoe?”
“Thugger, tell lil goofy to watch her mouth,” Aria warned.
“Gotta be the lil druggie bitch because you acting real brand new. That hoe ran through and you switchin’ up on me,” Scottie snapped, yelling in his ear.
“Aye, get the fuck back.” Logic pushed her out of his face.
“I’m not even mad at sis. Shit, if he fucked me with that monster, I’m sure I'd be checking the next bitch too. Don’t call me no more lying ass nigga.” Tyler ended the call.
Taking a deep breath, Logic pulled the phone from his ear and slipped it back into his pocket. He didn’t bother calling her back because he planned to pull up on her. Logic didn’t play that hanging up in his face shit. It was rude and disrespectful as fuck.
“You so fucking foul,” he chuckled angrily. “Since when you lie on your pussy?”
“Since when are you full of jokes and giggles?” Scottie snaked her neck. “Don’t let this lil money and fame go to your head because these bitches didn’t want you back then, I did.”
“Stop it. I pulled bitches with a bus pass in my pocket, so miss me with that bullshit shit.”
“Lo, I'm not trying to fight with you,” Scottie said, touching his chest. She really wasn’t trying to fight with him, she wanted him back. “If you need me to apologize to your sisters, I will. I was upset, but I shouldn’t have talked about them like that.”
“That shit don’t matter. They don’t fuck with you, and from the shit I heard, the feeling is mutual. No hard feelings,” Logic said, dismissing her. “I’ll holla at you on the flip side.”
“I’m not about to beg to be with you.”
“I didn’t ask you to. I asked your hardheaded ass to leave.”
“Fine, but when that bitch breaks your heart, don’t come looking for me.”
“Be for real, do I ever come looking for you?” He gave her a knowing look.
“Fuck you, Logic! Fuck you!” Scottie stormed past him, headed to the front door.
“Aye,” Logic called out. “Hold up.” He quickly jogged to the back of the house.
Scottie pushed her hair behind her ear and tucked her lips into her mouth. She knew he’d come to his senses because, famous or not, Tyler didn’t have shit on her. As soon as she headed in his direction, Logic was returning, only this time he had a white grocery bag in his hand.
“Here,” he handed her the bag.
“What’s this?” she asked, peeking into the bag. “You bought me a gift?” When her eyes landed on the clothing she kept at his house, the smile on her face dropped. “Are you serious?”
“Yea, I was trying to throw the shit away, but Tyler told me not to.”
“You’re such an asshole.” Scottie pushed him in the chest.
“Keep your hands to yourself,” Logic warned.
“Fuck you nigga! Bitches like her always go back to their niggas.”
“Yea, yea.”
“That lil five minutes of fame not gone last for long. You probably got a little money, but you’ll never make it out of the projects. Rappers like you come a dime a dozen nigga.”
“Be easy, Scottie.” Logic slammed the door in her face as she continued to berate him for the neighborhood to hear.
???
Shane stood behind Tyler, running the hot comb through the honey blonde wig he’d just installed on her head.
He was only in town for three days and then he was off to Miami to slay a couple of models who were walking in an exclusive lingerie fashion show.
As grateful as he was, Shane was happy to be home, catching up with his girls.
The back-to-back bookings, time changes, and hotel stays were taking a toll on his body, and Shane didn’t play about his body.
“You mad, friend?” he asked, noticing her foot shaking like she’d just consumed a line of speed.
“No,” Tyler scoffed. “I’m not his girl, and if he wanna fuck on bitches that don’t know what a tongue scraper is, then hey, who am I to stop him? Thank God, I didn’t give his nappy headed ass no pussy.”
Tyler was mad and her feelings were lowkey hurt. Logic tried to act like he was all about her, but the second she wasn’t in his sight, he was doubling back to fuck with a bitch with bad hygiene.
“Not nappy headed,” Aria giggled. “Shit, I couldn’t tell by the way you were running your fingers through his hair.”
“Shut up,” Tyler tittered.
“Wait, so you didn’t let him hit it?” Shane asked in disbelief. It couldn’t have been him. Shane would have folded faster than a plastic chair at a Nutty Professor family reunion.
“I mean he hit it a little,” Tyler replied.
“Bitch, how do you let someone hit it just a little?” He frowned.
“It’s possible,” Aria reasoned. “I’ve given a nigga a little pussy before.”
“Ari, please, there’s no such thing.”
