That’s when we all hear a demented chuckle that has the hair at the back of my neck standing on edge. Cobalt looks to me mouthing, “Ex-wife?” which I nod to. Ajax and Nickel are looking at each other then at me. I put up my hand so they both nod. She doesn’t make us wait long.
“Come on, Cullen, a man like you, even if you’re living lower than a pig, has had some opportunity to meet and maybe even fall into lust with someone.
I mean it happens all the time. Just so you know, I never loved your father.
It’s just he could give me so much more than you ever could, even if you had finished medical school.
It would have taken years and, darling, you know how hungry I was, and still am, for the finer things in life.
Now, I should have no worries as David’s estate should all be coming to me, and money will not ever be an issue again.
I put up with him for as long as I could before I made sure he suffered for the way he made me suffer before the poison took his miserable life.

I feel like roaches are crawling all over me the longer I listen to her.

I think, besides being lonely, he actually thought he loved this monster and I’m guessing he paid for that mistake his entire life and to the very end.

As I go to disconnect I hear something that will forever change the path of my life going forward.
“Cullen, do not hang up on me or there will be another video of your precious Stella getting fucked from any and all angles. I seriously doubt you want that, now do you? From this moment going forward you will do exactly as I say or by the time you find Stella, all that will be left is pieces. My dear ex-husband, you aren’t the only one who knows how to cause pain both physically and mentally.
I’d tell you to ask your father but he’s dead, so you are going to have to take my word. Do you understand me? Am I clear?”
You could hear a pin drop in the room and as I glance around, every single brother’s face looks murderous.
How in the hell did I not realize that Felicity would go to this extreme?
So did my father have cancer or was he poisoned by this maniac?

“You did not stutter, Felicity, so yes I understand. Before you start making demands, I want proof of life, not a photo but a conversation with her. Don’t push me either, not something I recommend. You have thirty minutes, or whatever you think you have will be nothing in my point of view.”
With that I hang up and immediately Ajax looks at me, eyes very serious.
“Give me her maiden name and married name. Age, hair, and eye color, and whatever else you think is important and can remember. I will have as much shit on her as I can in twenty minutes or so.”
I give him everything he’s asked for as I hear Cobalt in the background. When I turn, he motions for me to sit and he puts his phone on speaker as Big Daddy seems to come back to the phone.
“All right, Cobalt, before I give this information, do not let Incubus go totally crazy. No one knew he had a psycho for an ex-wife. Oh shit, is your VP there? Son of a bitch, no disrespect, Psycho, just a phrase. Anyway, there’s a rogue club out in Indiana that has tried time and time to show interest in becoming a chapter of the Kings of Anarchy.
I’ve had them investigated and what I’ve found is beyond disturbing.
I turned the information over to the local police and haven’t heard a thing since.
Got one of our IT guys looking into what was found and done.

We hear him screaming at someone, who to our utter surprise screams right back.
We all sit listening to what, we have no idea, but it tells me there might be issues at the main chapter, though not my fuckin’ problem.
It dawns on me to put a call out to my sister, Maeve, so she can inform our siblings to be on guard with Felicity.
Don’t want her to get her claws into anyone else in my family.
When Big Daddy comes back his voice is quiet, and that tells me we are about to hear something we don’t want to.
“Turns out that rogue club has come into some funding from an outside source who had put out a hit on the dark web. These motherfuckers answered because they need cash. My guy pulled up the request and it was a detailed list of what was to be done before the hit went through. Fuck, Cobalt, not sure how this slipped by, but I’m thinking this hit is on Incubus’s old lady, Stella.
Just tell me what you all need from me and it’s yours. ”
Those words mean absolutely nothing now.
We went to our Mother Chapter when shit went down with Stella, and we are just now going to get their help.
Before I can control it I’m screaming, “MOTHERFUCKER” over and over again, knowing it’s so much worse than I thought now for Stella with Felicity involved.
I’m beyond goddamn scared I’ll never see Stella again alive and breathing.
