Chapter 8 #2

“Fucking love having you here where I can make love to you whenever I want.” I pull out, then stand up, tugging my briefs up to cover my cock. I admire her beautiful body as she stretches and trembles, then relaxes after climax. She turns me on to no end.

Evie gives me a shy look. “I should shower before going down there. I’m probably a fright.”

“Nope, you’re going to have my cum leaking from your body and my smell all over you, so if Justin is there, he can see who you belong to now.”

“Okay.”

I hold out a hand to help her up. She bends over, picking up her clothes that got thrown around the room when I stripped her bare earlier. My eyes are glued to her plump ass as she starts down the hall, heading to the secondary entrance to our closet. Following along, her siren calls to me.

She changes her panties, then slips on the same long-sleeved, skintight lounge set. I love that she’s not afraid to show her curves. Justin may hate what she wears, but I love it.

Evelise

It feels weird walking among people, knowing I can smell Lucian on me.

We are in a cavernous room with a corner bar and several massive sofas facing televisions displaying different sports or shows.

There are even a couple of pool tables and other gaming machines in another corner area.

Men are gathered all over the room, most focused on me.

Lucian insisted I wear his cut over my lounge set, and he’s wearing another one. All the guys have cuts on, too.

“Loco,” Lucian says, and a scary-looking guy walks over to us.

He has a scar through one of his eyebrows, long, pulled-back hair, and a scruffy beard.

What makes him the most terrifying is his eyes.

Dark and emotionless. He stands in front of us, and I shrink into Lucian’s side as he looks me up and down.

“I want you and Chump to stay with Evie. Don’t leave her at all, no matter what. ”

“Got it.” His voice is flat and matter-of-fact.

I wait until the man turns to walk away before looking up to Lucian. “I don’t need anyone. I can stay with you.”

“They will separate us to make sure I’m not influencing you. I don’t want Justin to get his hands on you.”

“But I’ll be okay. Don’t worry, you don’t have to have your men babysit me. I don’t want them to think I’m weak or a burden.”

Lucian leans down into my space. “Sweet cheeks, you are never a burden. Don’t be afraid of Loco; his bark is worse than his bite. Besides, he knows you’re mine.”

“Don’t count on it,” Loco raises his voice. “My bite is deadly. Although some beg for it.” He gives a sinister chuckle as he clicks his teeth together as if biting, and I can’t hide the fear. Lucian embraces me, leaning down to kiss me when we are interrupted.

Spider approaches. “They have a warrant now. I don’t know what judge gave it to them on a Sunday afternoon, but they are coming in.”

“Let’s go,” Lucian says, and every man stands. As a group, they move around us toward the entrance. I look behind me and find Loco standing there. His lips tip up on one side in somewhat of a smile, and he nods his head.

Turning back to the front, I watch where I’m walking, my comfy slippers silent along the marble floor as we walk through the vestibule entrance until we all stand on the front steps.

Men move down the stairs, and I recognize Hammer and a couple of the others.

It bothers me that they are all doing this for me.

“We have a warrant to search the premises for Ms. Rezos.” A man in a suit holds up the paper; Justin stands behind him with a smirk on his face.

“As you can see, Ms. Rezos is perfectly fine and right here. You don’t need to go any further,” Lucian counters.

“We can search everywhere.” The investigator raises his voice and starts pushing past the men who stand their ground.

“Stop right there,” a voice says, and I instantly recognize it.

Glancing in the person’s direction, I watch as Boone slams the door on his classic ’69 Chevelle Malibu. I’ve ridden in that car a few times. I bet my dad sent him here to help us out. I’m so glad because he’s one of the best attorneys at the firm.

Boone’s long legs eat up the distance, and before you know it, he’s standing next to the cop, ignoring Justin. He’s never cared for Justin.

“Who are you? I’m Detective Stanley Grimsley with the Rhode Island State Police Detective Bureau. I’m investigating a kidnapping.”

Boone looks toward me with a smirk. “Well, as you can see, Ms. Rezos is standing right in front of you. I’m Boone Greenwood, attorney-at-law, and I represent Ms. Rezos and the club.

” Boone takes the warrant from the guy’s hands.

“This warrant only allows you to search for her. Nothing else. You can see her. Speak to her if you want.”

Lucian’s hand tightens around me, letting me know he doesn’t want me away from him. The detective looks at me and then at something in his hand. I imagine it’s a picture of me. He turns to Justin.

“She’s right there, as you can see. I don’t see her in any distress.”

Justin pulls the detective toward him, and they whisper.

“Hey, Princess,” Boone says to me, and I smile.

“Hello, Bo. I’m so glad Daddy sent you.” From beside me, Lucian grumbles, and I look at him. His jaw is so clenched that I imagine his teeth are protesting the strain.

“Don’t call her princess. She’s mine,” Lucian growls as Bo makes his way to us through all the guys.

“Relax, Prez, she’s yours, but she’s like a little sister to me.

I’ve known her since she was a kid in ponytails.

” Bo pulls me from Lucian’s grip and hugs me tight, lifting me off my feet.

“Girl, the shit you get yourself into. I couldn’t believe it when I heard you got back together with that limp dick.

” He chuckles as he sets me down and points to Justin, not so discreet in his proclamation of feelings for him, and all the guys laugh and snicker at the new nickname Justin acquired.

Lucian pulls me against him once again. My back to his chest, his arms wrap around my waist, keeping me close.

“Ms. Rezos, please step away from your kidnapper and come talk to us,” the detective orders me.

I look up at Lucian, who releases me with a nod. Bo walks with me, and I feel Loco just behind. I also turn to see another man. He’s skinny and young, maybe my age, but he looks younger. He reminds me of a young Jared Leto, but not quite as cute. This must be Chump.

Bo’s hand goes to the small of my back to direct me. “Hands, Law,” Lucian barks, and Bo just laughs, throwing his head back.

“Girl, didn’t I tell you to find a man who adored you, not one that was over the top?

” Bo continues to laugh as the detective and Justin lead us farther away from the clubhouse, but the farther I get away from Lucian, the more uncomfortable I feel.

My skin crawls, and the hair on the back of my neck stands on end.

I don’t trust this detective at all, and I certainly know not to trust Justin.

“We’d like to question her on her own. We notice that she’s all bruised up, and she won’t be honest that he abused her if you are standing with her,” Grimsley suggests.

“I told you, I represent Ms. Rezos. I’m not leaving her side. As for the bruises, we have photographic proof she had these before Mr. Knight helped her escape. I believe there is a witness by the name of Paris Channing who watched Mr. Branchard beat Ms. Rezos.”

“That’s a lie,” Justin whines and starts to advance toward me. “You bitch; how dare you lie about me like that. I should break off our engagement. It’s obvious you’ve been whoring around with these bikers.”

Loco proceeds to stand in front of me.

“Don’t talk to her like that,” he says, his voice is low, calm, and deadly sounding.

Bo places an arm around me and pulls me back as I hear a commotion behind me. I turn to see Lucian making his way toward us. He’s pissed, and his only focus is on Justin.

“Lucian, no. I’m okay.” I raise my voice, and he stops.

He can’t be arrested because of me. Turning to the detective, I take a deep breath and say, “Lucian didn’t kidnap me.

He’s helping me. My ex-boyfriend”—I point to Justin—“assaulted me and threatened to rape me. Paris did witness him attacking me. I want to be here with Lucian.” I lay out all my truths and hope it’s enough to stop them from hurting him or any of the other guys.

“I knew you were a whore, but a slut, too?” Justin doesn’t stop, and this time the detective holds a hand up.

“Mr. Branchard, she has a right to make this claim. I’ll investigate it and question this Ms. Channing myself.” Grimsley takes in the men who are all barely holding it together before pulling Justin away. “Let’s go. We got your questions answered. Ms. Rezos is here and hasn’t been kidnapped.”

“But. But wait. She must come with us.”

“No, she doesn’t.” Bo is the one to speak up this time. “Now leave, asshole.”

“I should have known you’d be letting her suck your dick. She’s always had the hots for you.”

“No, I haven’t. That’s sick. Bo is like my big brother.”

“We’ll be pressing charges against Mr. Branchard for assault,” Bo says as they walk away and slide into an SUV. We all stand there and watch as they leave before I turn and run back to Lucian. I jump at him, and he catches me.

“Fuck, baby, I can’t have him that close to you. I want to kill that fucker.”

“Stand in line. I’ve been itching to get my hands on him since he started sniffing after Evie,” Bo adds.

When Lucian lets me down, I turn to Loco. “Thank you.” I smile at him. “Thank you for defending me.”

“No man should speak to a woman that way. He wasn’t taught manners. My mama would box my ears if I spoke to a woman like that,” Loco replies before walking away.

We make our way back into the entertainment room and sit down. I learn that Bo has been a patched member of the club for years, and that my dad notified him about what was going on, but he was also here because of Lucian and the club.

We decide that I’ll press charges against Justin for assault and abuse. When I tell Bo about the threats to the family, he’s livid, and he states that more charges will be filed. I just hope this keeps Justin away. That way, everyone can finally get on with their lives.
