Chapter 6

CHAPTER

SIX

Julie

I shouldn’t be here.

It’s the first thought that hits me as soon as Liz turns off the car. Music blasts, and I swear you can see the porch moving.

I watch as a woman sits on a man’s lap in a little skirt and tube top while the woman across from her is wearing a swimsuit top in the dead of winter.

One of the men pulls the girl in the swimsuit top into his lap.

She places a shot between her breasts, and he takes it with no hesitation.

When he’s finished, he moves her top to the side, letting her boob hang out in the cold winter air.

Good lord. What have I gotten myself into? I think as I jerk my eyes away.

I look down at what I’m wearing and wince. I look like a nun in comparison to those girls. I’ve got on jeans with cute boots and a sweater that hangs off my shoulder. I look like I’m going out to dinner, not a biker party.

“Damn, get it,” Liz whistles under her breath.

I follow her line of sight and see a guy in a leather jacket has a woman bent over the porch railing, taking her from behind as people around them watch.

I wince, turning away from the sight.

This is nothing like the high school or college parties I went to. Then again, I knew that before we even made it to the clubhouse. We’re in the middle of a farm for crying out loud.

I shouldn’t be here. I mean, if my savior wanted me to know who he was, he would have told me, right? This is stupid. We should just go home.

“Maybe we shouldn’t have come,” I tell Liz quietly.

Turning toward me, she rolls her eyes. “Don’t back out now. It’s going to be fine. Now come on, let’s go find your mystery man.”

Before I can respond, she jumps out of the car. When she gets to the front of the car, she turns toward me and raises a brow, silently challenging me.

Reluctantly, I get out of the car, and when I get close enough, she links her arm through mine.

“This is going to be awesome.”

“I’m glad one of us thinks so,” I mutter under my breath.

As we head up the steps, I feel eyes on us, but I keep mine locked on the door. The last thing I want is to get someone’s attention.

“What does your boyfriend think about you coming to this?” I yell.

Liz tips her head back and laughs before she turns toward me with an evil smile on her face.

“What he doesn’t know won’t kill him. Besides, unless I have a ring on my finger, his opinion doesn’t matter.”

She pulls me over to the bar, and while she tries to flag down the bartender, I look around.

There is a literal wooden box of guns in the corner that men are looking at.

Ones I know for a fact are not legal in our country.

My eyes move from them, and I watch as a couple of guys spin darts in their hands.

One of them throws a dart, and instead of it hitting the dartboard, it hits an apple that’s balanced on top of a girl’s head as she stands against the wall in nothing but a bra and panties.

“Goodness,” I say quietly.

My eyes move once again, and I find people having sex out in the open. There is a girl kneeling between a man’s thighs, blowing him. He’s got his hand in her hair, helping her move up and down as he carries on a full conversation with another guy sitting next to him.

I shake my head in equal parts awe and disgust.

I could never.

“Have you seen him yet?” Liz asks, pulling my attention back to her.

I shake my head. “No, but Liz, I think we need to go. We shouldn’t be here.”

Her eyes soften, and she reaches out and squeezes my arm. “Okay, I hear you, but hear me out. Let’s have a beer and make a lap around this place while looking for your guy. If we don’t find him by the time I finish my beer, we can head home. How does that sound?”

I want to beg for her to just cancel this mission, but I know that once Liz has something in mind, there’s no swaying her.

“Okay,” I reluctantly agree.

“What can I get you?” the bartender asks, pulling our attention to him.

“Hey, handsome. Can I get two Steam Whistle Pilsners, please?” Liz asks, leaning against the counter.

“Coming right up, beautiful,” he says as he starts getting our drinks.

“Did you hear that, Jules? He thinks I’m beautiful,” she teases, making him laugh.

I roll my eyes. “We all know you’re beautiful, Liz. We have eyes.”

Before she can say anything, a man steps between us and leers down at me.

“Found you. I saw you come in, and I knew I had to have you tonight.”

I feel my nose crinkle. “No, thank you.”

He reaches for me, and I try to step back but bump into someone. He grabs onto my belt loops and pulls me into him.

“You like to play hard to get? Okay, count me in. I like it when they fight,” he rasps, making my heart race.

“While I’m flattered, I’m not interested. Now please let go,” I tell him.

“Sweet cheeks, you lost the ability to say no as soon as you stepped on the porch. Didn’t anyone tell you that?” he chuckles darkly.

“No is a full sentence and can be said at any time.”

He shakes his head and laughs harder. “The little lamb walked into the slaughterhouse, didn’t she?

Let me put it like this, sweet cheeks, you shouldn’t have come in here if you weren’t willing to play.

Now be a good girl and come with me. I’m hard as fuck, and I’m dying to see those lips wrapped around my cock as you gag on me. I bet you cry so pretty.”

Fear freezes me in place, and I swear white spots dance before my eyes.

Not again.

“Hey, back off, big guy. She said she’s not interested!” I hear Liz yell.

Next thing I know, though, the guy is being violently pulled away from me, and I watch as a fist flies at his face, making him sway in his spot.

“What the fuck!” he snaps.

“She told you no.”

My heart races for a whole new reason when I hear his voice, and my eyes fly to him.

My savior. He’s here, and he looks so incredibly angry.

Yak

I clocked her as soon as she walked in and couldn’t believe my eyes. She shouldn’t be here, and I can’t help but wonder why she is.

Did she figure out who I am?

As soon as the thought crosses my mind, I push it away. There’s no way she knows I’m part of this club.

Still, when she starts to scan the crowd, I can’t help but sink back into the shadows and watch.

Her eyes widen when she watches the guys check over a shipment of arms they drug into the place.

She skips right over the group who are snorting little white lines.

I have to stop myself from chuckling when she sees the half-naked woman having darts thrown at an apple that’s on her head.

I won’t lie, it’s reassuring to know that someone else thinks this place is a little extra as well. Who knows? Maybe it’s because we are both outsiders.

A pretty blush covers her cheeks as she watches Canuck be blown while talking to Sap, and I can’t help but chuckle.

She doesn’t belong here. She’s so far out of her depth that it’s not even funny. For a split second, I contemplate going up to her, telling her to go home. Warning her that it’s not safe here, but I keep my feet planted.

She’s a grown woman and can make her own decisions.

“Hey, handsome, I’ve been looking for you.”

Out of the corner of my eye, I see the sweetbutt that I met during the first party. The one I hooked up with because it was expected.

“I’m not interested,” I tell her, not looking away from Julie.

“Oh, come on, you know that’s not true.” She tries to touch my arm, but I step to the side.

“Look, I get it. I’m the best fuck you’ve ever had, but I’m not interested. I don’t do repeats,” I tell her.

She scoffs. “You enjoyed it as much as I did. You know we work well together. Come on, Yak, just give me another shot. You won’t regret it.”

“No. It’s a complete sentence, Aspen. Now go find someone else to fuck you raw,” I say dismissively.

“That’s not my name,” she snaps.

I know, which is why I purposely said it. Should I have used my best friend Wolf’s girl’s name? Probably not, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.

“Huh, I could have sworn it was,” I say, eyes going back to Julie.

“Fuck you, Yak. You weren’t that good anyway,” she snaps as she marches away.

“That’s a lie,” I say half-heartedly, not looking away from my girl.

Julie. I mean Julie.

My heart sinks as I watch Aragon push his way between Julie and her friend, and without thinking about it, I move. I push my way through the crowd.

When I get close enough, what I hear makes me see red and pisses me right the fuck off.

“No is a full sentence and can be said at any time.”

I’d laugh at how she echoed my words if I weren’t so fucking mad.

He shakes his head and laughs harder. “The little lamb walked into the slaughterhouse, didn’t she?

Let me put it like this, sweet cheeks. You shouldn’t have come in here if you weren’t willing to play.

Now be a good girl and come with me. I’m hard as fuck, and I’m dying to see those lips wrapped around my cock as you gag on me. I bet you cry so pretty.”

Consequences be dammed, I grab him by the back of the cut and pull him back. Without hesitation, I plant my fist in his face, his nose crunching beneath my knuckles.

“What the fuck!” Aragon snaps.

“She told you no,” I snap.

Aragon takes a step forward, but before we can outright brawl, brothers grab us, tearing us away from each other.

“What the fuck is going on?” Yooper snaps.

“Your fucking brother hit me,” Aragon tells him, and Yooper turns toward me.

“He wouldn’t take no for an answer. She made it known she wasn’t interested, and he wasn’t having it,” I tell him.

Yooper looks to Julie.

“That true?” he asks quietly.

Her head jerks up and then down. “Y-yes, sir.”

Sir. She called my brother fucking sir. How adorably her.

“Oh, come on. Are you really going to believe this whore? We all know that if the women aren’t claimed, they are free game,” Aragon snaps.

“That’s barbaric,” Julie says only loud enough for me to hear.

“Do you two know each other?” my brother asks pointedly.

I nod. “She’s here with me. I just got caught up.”

He turns back to Aragon. “There you go then. She wasn’t interested because she was already claimed.”

“The bitch didn’t say shit,” Aragon complains. “He can’t just claim dibs for the night.”

I pull out of the guy’s hold and take my jacket off. Without a second thought, I place it over her shoulders.

“There, happy now? It’s visible for all to see that she’s claimed, and I might be easygoing, Aragon, but here’s a word of advice: I don’t share. She’s mine and only mine.” I quip, trying to hide my anger.

I’m not mad at her, per se. I’m mad at the situations she put herself in, and make no mistake, I know she ended up here intentionally. I didn’t miss the way her eyes widened when she saw me.

Now I just need to figure out how the hell she knew I would be here.

“Come on, Yooper. You have to see what’s happening here. This pussy-footed transplant is trying to claim shit when he has no grounds. Besides, she’s not an old lady, so she’s free game. I should be able to have her if I want her,” Aragon hisses.

“That pussy-footed transplant is my brother. You best remember that,” Yooper says darkly.

Julie shifts next to me, her body brushing against mine.

“Let me make one thing clear, Aragon. If you touch her, you will die. Rules of the brotherhood be damned. Understood?” I add.

“A claim has been placed and has to be honored. We all know that, so knock it the fuck off,” Yooper says.

I hear Julie mutter something about cursing under her breath, but I don’t pay her any mind. I have bigger fish to fry than shit she mumbles under her breath.

“Discussion over.” Yooper looks over at me. “Get her out of here.”

“With pleasure,” I tell him, meaning every word.

I grab her arm and pull toward the hall where our rooms are.

It’s time for Julie and I to have a long overdue talk.
