Epilogue
HAYDEN
“Alright, everyone ready?”
I hopped onto the couch, just as Carter killed the lights. It was his turn tonight; his presentation to make, while the rest of us sat back and heard what he had to say.
Right now the room was beyond cozy; the embers from a killer fire still blazing white hot in the firebox. I snuggled back against Bodie’s hard chest, pulling his legs up on either side of me. Sawyer handed me a glass of wine and dropped down beside us.
Carter, on the loveseat nearby, had his laptop open. He punched a key, and a breathtaking sunset sprang up on the television. “What do we think about… Tennessee!?”
I listened intently to his pitch, while sipping my wine.
Yesterday had been Colorado, brought to us by Sawyer.
The night before that, Bodie had tried pitching us a gorgeous lake house in Maine.
Neither was vetoed outright, but neither felt one-hundred percent like home, either.
Then again, would any place really feel like home until we actually settled in there?
“Tennessee, huh?” mused Sawyer. “Outside of Nashville, let’s hear it.”
Carter nodded. “No state income tax,” he began solidly. “Low cost of living, low utilities, and—”
“How about something other than money?” Bodie interjected.
Carter pressed another button. The television blinked, and a beautiful mountain scene appeared.
“You’ve got the Smokey Mountains,” he went on. “Land is cheap, and plentiful, and we could spread out over acres and acres. Plus we’re not in a rush, so we could design and build the home we want.”
“Mild winters?” asked Sawyer.
“Very,” Carter confirmed. “Especially compared to here.”
Snuggled into his body, I felt Bodie heave a sigh. He’d wanted to go north, of course. He was also the only one who didn’t really mind the snow.
“Imagine unlimited hiking and fishing,” Carter continued. “And there are lakes everywhere, so we could even look at a plot that has one.”
Sawyer glanced at Bodie, then back at Carter. He frowned.
“The two of you are angling for a boat again, aren’t you?”
Bodie chuckled beneath me. Carter shrugged.
“I swear you’d go anywhere, as long as there’s fish!” cried Sawyer. “Maybe we should just take over a ferry crossing. Get you a couple of captains hats.”
“Hey, it’s Carter’s turn,” I teased, throwing a pillow Sawyer’s way. “Let him talk. We listened to you drone on and on about the Rocky Mountains. And you’ve never even been there.”
“I’ve been to enough mountains to know I like em’,” Sawyer said defensively.
He threw the pillow back and I let it bounce harmlessly off my shoulder, keeping my wine glass high to save the spill.
It was another amazing night. The lights were dim, and the Christmas tree glowed with dozens of slowly twinkling lights.
There were already presents under the tree.
Some of them I’d even shaken a few times, to see what they were.
“If we went to Maine we could ski all the time,” Bodie voiced.
“And we’d freeze our asses off each winter,” Sawyer shot back.
“He’s right you know,” I had to admit. “It is really cold up there.”
Bodie folded his arms around me, sliding them beneath the couch blanket that was warming me from the waist down. His hands landed somewhere near the insides of my bare thighs.
“I’d make you lots of fires,” he growled sexily, into my ear. “Plus I’d do other things to keep you warm…”
I jumped reflexively, as his fingertips brushed my satin-covered mound. When the house was this hot, I’d taken to wearing nothing but a long T-shirt and tiny underwear. Moreover, the boys knew this. I suspected it was why they never fought over whose turn it was to bring in firewood.
“Can I get back to my presentation, now?” challenged Carter.
“Yes,” I giggled. “And we promise not to interrupt.”
He nodded, flashing me that panty-dropping smile I’d fallen in love with more than a year ago. And speaking of panty-dropping, Bodie’s fingers were already busy beneath the blanket, working my thong to one side.
A whole year…
It seemed like a lifetime ago that I’d walked into The Refuge.
The place was gone now; nothing more than a dirt lot bulldozed flat in preparation for the pavement that would inevitably replace it.
But we’d given it a grand send-off, and we’d each said goodbye to it in our own fuzzy ways.
The place had run its course, as Carter had said.
It provided exactly that: a refuge for those who needed it, over decades of service.
And with its last, dying breath, it had also brought us together.
It had taken all year for each of us to get our things in order; to prepare for whatever adventure came next.
We could go anywhere — do anything we wanted.
The grand scope of unlimited avenues laid out before us was overwhelming, when I thought about it.
But that was okay, because it was fun to think about.
And another fun thing? Having three boyfriends. Walking around the house, teasing them by dropping things and bending over and daring them to take me, whenever the mood struck. And believe me, the mood stuck all the time.
“You’re soaked…” Bodie growled.
I nodded dreamily, as his hand pressed onward.
“My God, you’re sopping wet.”
He whispered the words huskily, as he nibbled my ear. Over the course of Carter’s presentation, he’d very delicately worked his fingers inside me. My breathing grew rapid, as he began plunging them slowly in and out.
“I need to get in this thing,” Bodie purred.
Craning my neck, I kissed him over my shoulder. “That could probably be arranged,” I teased.
“You don’t understand,” he countered. “I really, seriously need it.”
I bit my lip as he added another finger. He also began doing that slow churning, twisting thing that drove me absolutely wild.
“But first… I want them to have you,” Bodie breathed. “I want to watch you get fucked.”
His words were like oxygen, fanning the flames spreading through my lower abdomen. The way he said that last word was wicked, too.
“It’ll turn me on, watching them work you over,” he continued. “And by the time they’re done, and you’re a dripping hot mess… I’ll be harder than steel, ready to take my turn.”
His words sent shivers bolting through me, and my whole body went flush with heat. I loved it when they talked like this! And for some reason, my mild-mannered accountant boyfriend seemed to have the filthiest mouth of all of them.
“You’d love that, wouldn’t you?”
I nodded against his chest, completely breathless.
“Well then, who are you going to fuck first?”
I didn’t know. I didn’t care. All that mattered was spreading my legs even wider than they already were, so Bodie could drive his fingers even deeper. I wanted to keep them spread, so all three men could climb between them.
Fuck…
I wanted them to plunder me. Right here, right now, right on this soft, comfortable couch.
I wanted to claw the cushions as they pounded into me.
I wanted to scream through multiple, world-shattering orgasms; with the embers blazing and the tree twinkling and the weight of their bodies crushing me into come-drenched oblivion.
Sawyer must’ve noticed what we were doing. Bodie’s hands might be invisible beneath the blanket, but the far away look in my eyes, coupled with the way I was breathing, were unmistakable signs.
“And then we could…”
Carter stopped, halfway through his sentence and sighed.
“Now?”
Bodie laughed and pulled the blanket away. The sight of me with my legs spread and Bodie’s fingers buried deep inside me was all Carter needed to abandon his presentation.
“Which one of you is going first?” Bodie asked.
He withdrew his hand, and placed his fingers against my lips.
It felt so fucking hot to take them in my mouth and gently suck them clean.
I did it as Carter and Sawyer looked on, being sure to make tons of eye contact with them.
I chuckled as I saw their eyes lose focus; each getting lost in his own filthy thoughts.
I sighed happily and squirmed backward, into Bodie. I could feel the knot of his hardness pressing into the small of my back, swelling in anticipation of what came next.
“As you can see,” Bodie sighed, rolling my shirt up over my swollen breasts. “She’s more than ready.”’
