Chapter 26
CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
Jump was trying not to come as Blakely ran her hands over his body. Her touch was exquisite. He wanted hold her, but he wasn’t sure how his arm would hold up.
He was making sure his arm didn’t get too wet, turned at an odd angle in the shower when she grabbed the soap and started washing his body.
He could get used to this. Then her hands were on his stomach and then his hips. His balls pulled up tight and when she ran her hand closer to his cock, he felt the orgasm building.
“Is this okay?”
“Yes. Touch me.”
She curled her fingers around his cock, and he came so hard he had to reach out and hold on to the shower wall so he didn’t fall.
It had been ages since he’d come from some woman touching him. Maybe it was the drugs, or the pain, or maybe it was the excitement of just being with her.
She smiled, looking at him in awe. He’d been primed, ready to come before they entered the shower.
“I want to give you pleasure.”
Her breath hitched. “How?”
“Finish washing, then come to bed with me and let me hold you.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. Very.”
She finished cleaning her body and then helped him dry. They were in the bedroom, her arms over her chest like she was embarrassed. He pulled her hands from her body, taking in her small breasts and her smooth skin. She looked strong, good, and he wanted to hold her all night long.
He pulled back the covers, and she slipped into the bed. He moved to get onto the bed but wasn’t sure how this would work.
“I don’t think I can lie down and do much. How about I sit with my back against the headboard, and you sit in my lap?”
“Only if you’re sure about it.”
“I am.”
He climbed into bed and she helped him arrange the pillows, so he was comfortable. Then she moved to sit on his lap facing him. He was about to tell her to turn around so he could hold and touch her but having her straddling his legs was perfect. Her nipples were hard, and he wanted to lick them.
He put his hand behind her back and held her in place as he lowered his head and sucked her nipple into his mouth. Her finger pads pressed against his arm as she clung to him.
He ran his tongue around her nipple then sucked on it again. She cried out and arched against him. She was going to come for him.
He reached between them and slid his fingers over her pussy. It was enough to push her over the edge and she came. He loved how she rubbed against his fingers as her body pulsed.
After she finished, she laid her head against his shoulder on his good side, her shoulders rising with each breath. When she sat up, the smile on her face took away all the pain.
“Did you like that?”
“Yes. That was amazing.”
“Good. Next time, it will be better. I promise.”
“I don’t know how it could get better.”
Her words made him feel great. He chuckled and planted a kiss on her lips. “Trust me. It will be better next time.”
“Well, I’m looking forward to next time then.” She moved off his lap, and he missed her heat. “You need something to eat before you sleep.”
He groaned but knew she was right. He couldn’t go to bed without getting some fuel so his body could work on repairing his injury.
He hated being taken out of commission. At least everyone would be taking a few days off. Next week and the week after when he still hadn’t been cleared for action would drive him crazy.
With Wave gone, and him injured, his team shouldn’t be called out. If they went somewhere, it would drive him crazy not being there to help. He wouldn’t push to get cleared to go on a mission because it would be wrong to put anyone else at risk.
Blakely fixed him a sandwich, which was delicious. Food fixed by someone else always tasted better. He took some pain meds to take the edge off, then he was ready for bed.
“Will you sleep with me?” He waited for her to answer, hoping she said yes.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to hurt you.”
“I’ll be fine. Also, I’ll sleep better knowing you’re safe.”
She nodded. “Sure. I’ll sleep with you.”
Her words made his dick twitch. Even with the pain meds on board he was getting hard. But exhaustion hit him hard, and there was no way he was going to be able to perform like he wanted to. Later, once he felt better, he would show her how much he wanted her.
He fell asleep so fast, he didn’t even remember his head hitting the pillow. When he woke, Blakely was still asleep beside him. He watched her sleep, wondering how he’d found someone like her. She was right for him.
Pain took his breath as he stood. The meds had worn off, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to take more. He could get by on over-the-counter medicines.
Making coffee was more difficult than usual. Everything would be more difficult. The desire to workout or go for a run was there, but he knew that would only hurt him.
He sat on the couch, contemplating ways he could keep himself busy.
He picked up the tablet and opened it, seeing that there was an application open with words filling the page.
He’d already read about four pages of material when he realized maybe he shouldn’t read what seemed to be Blakely’s diary.
Maybe not a diary, but it was her thoughts written down, and she may not appreciate him reading.
The door opened, and she stepped out of the bedroom. He stood and moved to her. Her smile was perfect, beautiful.
“Hey,” he said.
“Did you sleep well?”
He nodded. “Yes. I just got up. Still haven’t finished my first cup of coffee.”
She reached up and put her hand on his face. “Thank you for last night.”
“I should be thanking you. That was amazing. I know that helped me sleep.”
“I’m glad you had a good night. Let me get some coffee then I’ll fix breakfast.”
“Get some coffee then sit and relax. We don’t have to eat right away.”
“Sure.”
She poured some coffee, and he stayed in the kitchen, knowing he had to tell her about reading the pages.
“So I opened the tablet. I didn’t know you were writing anything. I read some of it.”
She turned, worry wrinkling her forehead. “Oh, I…Willa and Pen said I should write some of it down.”
“It’s good.”
She cocked her head to the side, a line developing between her eyebrows. “Do you really think so?”
“Absolutely. I think it’s really good. I liked what I’ve read. I can feel the emotions.”
She took a sip then added creamer. “Let’s go sit.”
“Sure.”
He followed her to the couch and sat so he could grab his coffee and drink. She pulled her legs up and was cross-legged on the couch as she sipped her coffee, looking contemplative.
“I want to help people. I don’t have any idea what I want to do. I don’t want a job where I wait tables or I’m in the public all day. I like the idea of writing, but I just don’t know if anyone will be interested.”
“You don’t have to make a decision right now. You can take some time and figure it out.”
She took another sip of coffee and then met his gaze. “Do you really think what you read was good?”
He nodded. “I do. There was one thing you wrote that stuck with me. Can I?” He grabbed the tablet, and she nodded.
He scrolled through the document until he found what he wanted.
“When you’ve never experienced freedom, it’s hard to know you’re trapped.
You’re like a fish in a bowl. You swim around thinking everything is great, but you’re in a tiny bowl and know nothing of the world outside the bowl.
You might see glimpses of the real world from time to time, but the things you see are warped to the point you don’t see them clearly.
You’ll never experience truth until you break free.
Don’t settle for life inside the fishbowl, find your escape and get out. ”
She set her mug on the coffee table and pulled her legs up to her chest. “That wasn’t too harsh, was it?”
“No. Absolutely not.”
“I don’t want to come off as an asshole. It took a lot to get out, and I know it will take others a lot to get out. I don’t want to be a jerk or discourage anyone.”
“What I’ve read is good. You weren’t coming off like a jerk.”
“Thank you. That means a lot.”
From what little he knew about her past, it had been difficult. The writing showed him a deeper look into what made her. He wanted to know more about her, and he hoped she stuck around long enough for him to get to know her better.
