Chapter 32

Cy sent a text to Thario, breaking down what had happened. His phone rang seconds later. It was Thario.

“Hey, I’m still up. I see we have an emergency. I’m searching for Robert’s location. He’s probably at a shitty motel, and there are plenty around there.”

“Fuck.”

“Who is with you?”

“Kevlar. The cops.”

“Give me a few minutes. Calla is looking at traffic cameras.”

“Thank you.”

“I’ll send a text when we find her.”

“Thank you.”

The call ended, and he stared at his phone, wondering what else he could do. He should have put a tracker on her phone.

With her history of Robert stalking her, he hadn’t wanted to freak her out. Now he wished he’d just done it.

“What are you thinking?” Kevlar asked.

“That I should have put a tracker on her phone. I have no idea where she is.”

“Send a text to your team. They’ll want to know.”

He nodded as he pulled up his texting application and sent a note to their group chat. Seconds later, his phone pinged. The guys were all coming down. They were going to help him search for her.

The police came over and asked for more information. The officer had gotten in contact with the detective, who was on his way down.

“Riser said he might have an idea where Robert has been staying.”

“That’s good.”

“We’re sending someone over right now.”

Cy squeezed his hands into fists. He wanted to be there but knew the police would never allow him to join their raiding party. He would just have to cool his jets and let the police rescue Willa.

arrived first, followed closely by T and Wave. Jump and Foster were the last two to get there. They moved away from the police so they could talk freely.

“Do you have any idea where he took her?” T asked.

He shook his head. “I called Thario, and he’s looking.”

“Shit. We need to find her,” Wave said.

“I wouldn’t mind finding him,” Foster said.

Cy glanced around, making sure the cops weren’t close. “I want him dead. But with the cops involved, the guy can’t have a convenient accident.”

Wave shook his head. “Best not to talk that way with all the police around.”

“We should head to my place,” Jump said. “We can start searching from there.”

Cy knew he was right. They weren’t doing any good standing around here.

Willa had to be so scared. She’d been attacked, and now Robert had her.

He’d never thought Robert would actually get her.

But he hadn’t suspected that Cindy would set up some plot to kidnap Willa to teach her a lesson. Had she intended for Willa to die?

Cy closed his eyes, not wanting to think about what could have happened. Willa was just trying to survive, and now she had multiple people after her, attempting to end her life as she knew it.
