31. Chapter Thirty
Chapter Thirty
Rory
" R ory, I mean it. Thank you, but I'm all good. You can let go now," he says, glaring at where my hands are placed on his forearms for support.
The use of that name has my eyes flicking over to the flowers on the table, and a mixture of guilt and sadness travels through my body.
I need to be honest with him.
I feel too much for him to keep pretending.
"I don't want you to call me that anymore," I blurt out, letting go of his arms now that he's seated on the edge of his bed again.
He looks up at me in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
I take a deep breath, hoping to calm my racing heart and my eyes nervously dart around the room as I think about the best way to tell him everything.
"Rory isn't my real name," I state, my eyes focusing back on him as my teeth gnaw at the inside of my cheek and my nails dig into the palm of my hands.
"Okay," he says as his eyes scan my face.
He frowns, reaching his hands out to grasp mine.
"Hey, it's okay. Carry on, darling. "
"Well, my actual name is Aurora."
He narrows his eyes and his head tips to the side for a moment before he nods his head.
"Pretty name for a pretty girl," he says. "Makes perfect sense to me."
I breathe a sigh of relief at his response, glad that he's not angry.
His hands squeeze mine and he smiles up at me, ridding the panic that was starting to form inside of me.
"You changed your name so that you wouldn't be found?" he asks, rubbing his thumb along the back of my hand in a comforting, soothing manner.
I nod.
"Rory was what my mum used to call me when I was younger, and Daniels is her maiden name. I needed a name that I'd remember, and one that I'd still answer to, but something that wouldn't be easy to figure out."
"Very smart idea," he muses. "How come you're telling me all of this now, darling?"
"I don't want to pretend anymore," I tell him. "You make me feel safe. When I'm here, with you, I'm like the woman I was years ago, before everything in my life changed, and because of that, I need to be real with you. I don't want you to call me Rory anymore. That's not me."
"So, what I'm hearing is that you like me?" he teases, reaching for me and pulling me towards him so that I'm standing between his legs.
"Yes, I do," I admit. "I shouldn't, but I do."
"Well, Aurora, I like you too, although I'm sure I've been very obvious about it."
His thumb strokes against my cheek as I stare at him in awe .
Hearing him say my name has my insides melting, and without thinking, I lean forward and capture his lips with mine, wanting to taste him and hopefully satiate the hunger that's been growing inside of me.
His left hand cups my face while he lightly runs the other up the side of my neck, leaving a tingling, burning trail behind.
I moan against his mouth as my stomach coils tight, and I press myself closer to him, enjoying the pleasurable shiver that runs through my body from the slightest touch.
"We should stop this, right?" he asks as his mouth moves away from mine and slowly travels down my neck.
"Wrong," I whisper, pulling his face back to mine and smashing our lips together, a heated passion overtaking me.
He chuckles against me, and I swipe my tongue against his lips, silently hinting at my next move in case he decides he wants to stop here.
His hands come down to my waist, and he willingly lets me in, deepening the kiss as he drags me against him.
My knees bump against the cushioned hospital mattress beneath him, and his thighs press against mine, trapping me in front of him as he continues his assault, dragging me into the depths of ecstasy.
He groans against my mouth before he reluctantly pulls back and the sound of our heavy panting fills the room.
"Holy sh—"
I cut him off when I push him back so he's lying across the bed, and I climb on to him, resting my knees either side of his waist and planting myself on his lap .
My eyes fall shut and my core tenses when I feel his hardened dick pressing against me.
A hoarse, strangled grunt escapes him when I roll my hips, and he brings his fisted hand to his mouth, sinking his teeth into his knuckles to keep himself quiet.
A burst of pride shoots through me when I witness how affected he is by me, so I grind down against him, purposely rubbing against his length.
We both gasp and shudder from the euphoric feeling even though there's multiple layers of clothing between us.
"Do that again," he pleads, his hands tightening around my waist. "Please."
His begging brings a wicked smile to my face, and I continue to circle my hips while simultaneously rocking back and forth as he uses his hands to help guide me.
As pleasure continues to coarse through my body, I allow myself to fall forwards so that our bodies are flush together, and I bury my face into the crook of his neck to contain the noises pouring out of my mouth.
I'm out of my mind, lost in the moment without a care in the world as I push myself closer to the edge.
Jaylen lifts his hips beneath me, matching my movements and sending shockwaves through me.
My body tenses while moans and whimpers absently flow freely into the room, and I sink my teeth into his neck to quiet myself.
He jolts beneath me, hissing from the unexpected action, but he continues pumping his hips, holding me tight against him as I ride out my orgasm .
His breathing grows louder, and his movements become faster while my body begins to relax on top of him, sated from my release that's slowly dwindling away.
"Oh, fuck. I'm so close," he groans, his voice laced with desire.
I release my teeth from his skin and softly swipe my tongue across the spot where I'd just been biting him.
"Aurora, please."
His voice is deep, gravely, and desperate as he begs me for god knows what, but a zing of power and excitement travels down my spine.
"Cum for me, baby," I whisper, pushing my hips down and adding extra pressure where he needs it most.
A relieved, tortured noise escapes him as his hips jerk beneath mine and I feel his pulsing dick through the soft layers that separate us as he finds his release.
"Holy. Fucking. Shit."
I giggle and drop down onto him, our ragged, heaving breaths filling the room around us as we each take a few minutes to catch our breath.
"Jesus. That was…" I trail off, unable to find the right word to describe the past five minutes.
"Amazing? Surprising? Earth shattering? Maybe even the best moment of your life?" he suggests, wrapping his arms around me and kissing the top of my head.
"All of the above," I admit, listening intently to his heartbeat as it begins to slow back down to a normal pace beneath me. "I do think my legs might go numb in a moment though."
He laughs, his chest vibrating my body as he loosens his arms from around me .
I sit up, and he follows, resting his hands on my hips to keep me on his lap.
He gently swipes his nose across mine, and his eyes bore into mine, as if he's taking a moment to capture whatever emotions are currently swirling around inside of me.
"Are you okay?" he asks.
I smile and nod my head before leaning forward and gently pressing my lips against his.
"I'm more than okay," I tell him.
"That wasn't too much for you?"
I shake my head and cup his face in my hands, stroking my thumbs along his cheeks.
"You do realise I was the one that initiated all of that, right?"
"Yeah, I do, but I want to make sure that you're okay with everything that just happened in case you were just caught up in the moment."
"If you're asking me if I regret what took place, then the answer is no, Jaylen.
I will admit, I wasn't really thinking when I kissed you, and I definitely didn't expect to be sitting here with soaking wet underwear minutes later, but I knew what was happening, and I wanted to continue…
For the first time in years, I feel great.
I feel like me, and I have you to thank for that," I tell him, hoping to give him the reassurance he's looking for.
He smirks at me.
"Soaking wet underwear, you say?"
I shake my head, and push at his chest while he laughs, causing my cheeks to blush profusely .
I climb off of his lap, stretching my legs out, and fan at my face with my hands.
"There's no need to be embarrassed, darling," he says, pulling me in front of him. "I'm glad to know you enjoyed yourself."
"I wasn't the only one," I retort.
"Touché," he says, chuckling.
"Well, I better go clean myself up," I mutter, reluctantly pulling away from him.
"Yeah, I think I'm expecting a visit soon as well."
My brows shoot up in surprise and my eyes dart over to his door.
"You allowed all of that to happen when you knew people would be coming to see you soon?"
He shrugs and tries to hide his smile while running his hands through his messy hair.
I straighten out my scrubs and pat down my own hair as I prepare to leave his room.
"You look fine," Jaylen says, standing from the bed and grabbing the jug that holds my flowers. "Don't forget these."
I take the flowers from him and lift onto my toes to kiss him one more time before turning to leave his room, desperately wanting to go and change my underwear so that I'm not uncomfortable for the rest of my shift.
