Chapter Twelve

XADEN

Her eyes are wide with fear. She trembles beneath my touch and I fucking hate to admit it but the sight of her riddled with horror at the mere mention of my name has my cock twitching in my pants.

Caspian might have been onto something with this plan of his.

Being able to say I was the one who broke in the princess of the Kellar family will be worth more than gold, especially when her brother finds out that his baby sister is spending her nights under me and on her knees with my cock down her throat.

“Are you going to hurt me?” she whispers.

The corner of my mouth lifts as I lean in, leaving a sliver of space between our faces. Her breath hitches at my close proximity. “Worse than anyone ever has but you will love every minute of it, Tink.” I draw back and release my hold on her as I turn to peer out the window, dismissing her.

Treat ‘em mean and keep ‘em keen.

“Now, you’ve met Xaden, can you tell me about that night?” The hint of impatience in Cas’s voice has me shooting him a warning look to keep his fucking cool. If I can suck up my disgust and play this game, he can fucking do it as well!

Toren gnaws on her bottom lip and begins to wring her hands in her lap, she keeps her eyes downcast and refuses to look at him which has me grinding my teeth. The least the cunt could do is look him in the fucking eye while she admits she’s a murderer!

“I… That night, it’s a blur for me,” she mutters.

“What do you mean?” Cas pushes.

She releases a whoosh of air and slowly lifts her gaze to his.

I wait with bated breath for her to admit the truth.

“I don’t know what happened, Caspian. All I remember is waking up in the hospital.

The doctors told me I suffer from short term memory loss.

I may get the memories back, I may not. They say it’s my mind's way of protecting me from the trauma of that night.” I stare at her with accusation and have to force myself to calm the fuck down, my hands are itching to wrap around her neck and strangle the fucking life out of her.

Memory loss.

That is the biggest load of horse shit I have ever fucking heard.

“What do you remember?” Cas presses.

She darts her tongue out to moisten her lips and takes a deep breath.

“I don’t remember anything about that entire week.

I have tried for a year to remember anything from that night.

They wouldn’t tell me a single thing. When I woke…

and asked to see you, Kenna and Kellan they just told me no or ignored my questions.

” At the mention of Kellan, I grind my teeth.

That motherfucker is on my list. I had plans for him to go before we played them but now that Toren is here, I plan to dangle the little bitch in front of him and her brother and use her to taunt them.

She seems like a frigid bitch, but, if I play my cards right, she’ll be under me in mere weeks.

“Who wouldn’t tell you?” Cas asks.

“My dad and Masen.” There’s a hint of anger in her tone.

There is clearly a divide between her and her family, but why?

Her cock sucking brother attends Somerset while she is enrolled at Stormsend.

I knew her father was a piece of shit but he literally has fed his prized cow to the wolves.

He has to know that we will do everything in our power to destroy her.

“You remember nothing of that night?” I hedge.

Her gaze slowly travels to me and I can see a hint of annoyance in her eyes and that shit feeds the beast inside me.

Soon enough, she will look at me like I hang the fucking moon and I relish the moment I can shatter her reality and burn her fucking world down.

“Why do you care?” she volleys back.

I harden my gaze as I stare at her. “What the fuck makes you think I give a shit about you?” Her mouth pops open in shock but I’m not done.

“Everyone knows about that night, it changed many peoples fucking lives.” I can’t keep the malice from my tone.

This cum-guzzling slut ruined everything and being this close to her makes my fucking skin crawl.

“I don’t even know what happened that night, Xaden.” Her tone is even and laced with guilt, her eyes beginning to fill with tears. She lifts her hand toward her throat for the fourth time since she entered the room but stops herself. Why the fuck does she keep doing that?

“Would you like me to fill in the blanks for you?” She snaps her gaze back to Cas and stares at him for a moment unmoving.

She slowly nods her head stiffly and sits up straight in her chair.

She winces and clutches her side, biting down on her lip to keep from making a sound.

I give her credit, she isn’t as much of a pussy ass bitch like her brother.

That cunt grunts and moans each time I slam him on the ice.

“Yes, I need to know what happened that night. I have to find out what the hell happened. I… I need to know what happened to Kenna.” Her voice catches as she utters her best friend's name. The devastation on her face has me wondering if she is actually telling the truth or if she’s a great actress and this is all a test. Could she really be a plant and here to get inside information for her father?

“It’s not a nice fucking story, Terror. That night ruined a lot of lives, maybe you not remembering is a blessing. I wish I could forget that night more than anything.” Cas’s anguish is felt. I know his pain is still raw and I get it, better than anyone else.

“Please, I need to know,” she pleads. I look at Cas and nod, I want him to destroy her with his words. I need to see her shatter and break in front of me. If she is an actress trying to play us then her reaction will give her away. No one can fake grief, it has to be felt in your core.

“The night started out like any other. We always used to go to the beach and hang out or even celebrate our wins but that night, it felt different.” Toren wrings her hands together in her lap.

I keep my breathing even and force myself to remain calm as Caspian recites the worst night of my life.

“Masen was drunk. I think we all were except for you and Kenna. When Mase started going on about us making a pact…”

“What pact?” she asks, her face is contorted in confusion, but I’m not buying the fucking act she is selling. She’s a Kellar and those vile cocksuckers would sell their body to make a buck.

“He wanted the five of us to make a pact that we would always be close and remain family forever. He wanted us to promise to make yours and Kenna’s first year of college to be something to remember.

” I snort at his choice of words, earning a glare from them both.

“Anyway, we all agreed and made the stupid fucking pact. We all started drinking heavily when the rest of the team arrived, everything was fine until it wasn’t.

” He takes a shuddering breath before continuing. “You, Mase, Kenna and Kellan left.”

“Why?” she breathes out. She’s taut with tension as she hangs onto his every word.

“Kenna was wasted, so were you, but none of us knew. We had no fucking idea you were drunk or we would never have let you…” He clamps his mouth closed and scrubs a hand down his face, trying to tamper his anger.

Toren’s face scrunches. “What do you mean I was drunk?” She darts her gaze from him to me and then back again, clearly stunned by his revelation.

But I saw the look in her eyes, she was genuinely confused.

“Cas, you know I don’t drink like that unless we are home.

I never get drunk in public. Jesus, I have only been drunk three times!

” She reaches up and pulls her necklace from her shirt.

I try to get a good look at it but I can’t see it clearly.

Her lips begin to move as she recites something silently.

I find myself being pissed off that I don’t know what she is saying.

“You were, Toren!” he roars. She jerks back in her seat at his outburst and yelps in pain before quickly biting down on her lip.

Cas takes a few heaving breaths before he speaks again.

“You all left the party. I thought nothing of it because I knew you would be the one driving everyone back to your house. I trusted you.”

Tears gather in her eyes as she stares at Caspian, her bottom lip begins to tremble. “What happened, Cas? What the fuck did I do?” she screams as the tears begin to roll down her cheeks. My eyes narrow as I note her every reaction.

“You lost control, you crashed into another car—”

I cut Cas off before he can reveal too much.

“You didn’t just kill your best friend that night.

” She swings her gaze to me. Her eyes fill with horror, her mouth pops open but no sound escapes as tears continue to cascade down her face.

“You killed both of mine as well. Miles and Neave were good fucking guys and didn’t deserve to go out the way they did. ” Venom laces each of my words.

She shakes her head, her hand comes up and covers her mouth. “No, I wouldn’t have—”

“Oh, but you did. You ploughed into them when you lost control. You killed innocent people that night.” A sob tears out of her, then she clutches her side in pain but she can’t stop the screams from tearing out of her as she breaks down in front of me.

She tries gasping for air but can’t control herself enough to drag in enough oxygen, and I’ll be damned if I fucking help the cunt. She deserves to suffer.
