FRANKIE
Logan told me this was coming, but as I read the Scoreboard story, I can’t fully believe it. Someone finally stood up to my dad. Not just anyone, but my husband.
And my father turned and ran.
I start laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Liz slides onto the couch beside me.
“Have you ever been to Hamilton, Ontario?”
“Nope. Where is that?”
“Halfway between Toronto and Buffalo.” I take a deep breath. “I think we should take a girls trip to a new boy aquarium.”
There is a chance that my dad will return to the team. A chance that this new aquarium might have a dangerous shark in it.
But for Logan, I’m willing to take that chance. Because of Logan, I know that being fearless is a gift to myself that unlocks joy, and love, and endless potential.
