JAVARIS ‘HITTA’ MITCHELL
Ifelt it in my spirit this morning that Deja was home.
I couldn’t prove it, but something told me that she was at her apartment.
Even with me pulling into the community and not seeing her car parked in the parking lot, I still had this feeling that she was home.
Because I strongly felt this way, I parked my whip in one of the visitors parking spots, stepped out with my gun on my waist, and my phone and keys in hand.
I made it over to the steps, taking them up quickly.
Before I knew it, here I was, standing in front of her front door.
Just like the last few times that I’ve been doing, I went ahead and keyed in the code.
The code that I’ve been using for months didn’t work though.
That’s when my suspicion was confirmed about her being home. She had to come in and change the code.
Trying one more time, just in case I might have keyed it in wrong, I typed the code one last time, and the lock beeped, alerting me that I had the wrong code.
For the hell of it, I did it again, and this time, the door unlocked.
The thing is, the code was still incorrect. The door unlocked from the inside.
With a smile on my face, knowing that I was finally getting ready to see her ass after weeks, I stepped back a little, so the door could fully open. The smile was quickly wiped off my face when I saw this buff, pretty looking nigga standing on the other side of the door.
“Man, where Deja at?” I asked, pissed that she had this nigga at her crib, and opening her door.
In this moment, all I could think about was the shit that Joy told me the other night.
Even after the heated exchange that took place between Joy and I the other day at her crib, I was right back over there the next day.
She went on this rant about how she was going to stop fuckin with me, and how she didn’t want me in her, or the baby’s life.
My dick was getting sucked, and she was fuckin me the very next day.
Now that we were back on good terms, I guess she found herself trying to get up under my skin the other morning.
She went back to the club to dance the same night that Deja had the music video premier.
She told me about some of the gossip that was going on inside the locker room.
I guess someone asked Deja if she was fuckin Wolf, and she never confirmed or denied that shit.
Joy even told me that the nigga was at the club that night too.
The fact that she had him at her crib, opening the door, led me to believe that the things they were saying about the two of them were true.
Shit, I should have known when I pulled up to his store that night, and he was doing all that big talking over the phone.
To know Deja is to know that her home was her sacred to her.
She wasn’t the type to just let anyone know where she laid her head.
Even when we started fuckin around, she took forever to let me know where she lived.
The second I got her address, I took advantage because I would bring all kind of bullshit to her door.
That’s why she would go on these rants and tell me that when she moved, she wasn’t going to give me the new location.
I’ve been trying to get a hold of her for weeks, and when I finally got it, this nigga was here.
To be clear, I could have gone to the club if I really wanted to see her, but I knew if I brought our issues to her job, that would really make her hate me.
Deja took her profession seriously, and she would always tell me to respect it.
I wanted her back, and wanted to be on good terms with her, and that’s why out of respect, I never pulled up at her job.
“Again, like I told you over the phone, you blacked her eyes and busted her lip. What access do you still think you have with her?” he tried that big man shit again.
I’ve never been the kind of dude to be afraid of another dude, solely because they were bigger than me.
Since that was the case, I tried to push past this nigga, so that I could get inside the crib.
Like I was his fuckin son, he hemmed me up by the front of my shirt, walked me out, and closed the door with his free hand.
All the while, I’m moving my hands, trying to get a hold of my gun, ready to kill this nigga.
It’s as if he knew that’s what I was reaching for because he was swift to let my shirt go, and while I reached for my waist, trying to get to the gun, he was quicker, getting to it before me. He dropped that shit on the ground, kicking it behind him.
I swung on his ass, but he grabbed my fist mid- air, swung back on me, landing a punch on my jaw.
Because I wasn’t pussy, I swung back, but none of my blows were connecting.
Growing up in Miami, you were used to slap boxing with other niggas, street fighting and shit like that.
I thought I had all the practice in the world, but this nigga was throwing blows like he was a professional.
Nigga landed damn near five blows to my face in less than ten seconds. The last blow he sent, put me down on my ass, making me fall back. That’s when he came over, putting his foot on my chest, trying to stop my airflow.
“My gun in the house. I took it off and put it on the dresser when I walked in the door. I’m a different kind of nigga, Hitta.
I don’t need my gun. I’ll kill you with my bare fuckin hands.
I’ll dig my foot so deep into your chest and make you stop breathing right fuckin now!
I can show you that nigga that you need me to be to handle you!
” he spat, with this deranged look in his eyes.
My breathing was off. Nigga had a size twelve shoe on my chest, and he was digging it in, trying to kill me.
Out of nowhere, Deja’s apartment door opened, and when it did, she turned to look over at what was happening. Wolf took his eyes off me, so he could look at Deja. He kept his foot on my chest though.
“Wolf—”
“Go in the house, baby. Give me a second,” he said, taking his eyes off her, and putting them back on me.
If that was me that had given her ass an order, she would have had so much shit to say in response to that. This nigga told her to do one thing, and she took her ass back in the house.
He finished digging his foot in my chest, and I turned over on my side, coughing up a storm. My chest and throat were both on fire.
“Leave her the fuck alone! It ain’t shit for you over here! Think because I sell jewelry for a living that I won’t kill you. I’m telling you I’ll do it to your ass!” he was calm, as he backed away, standing by the front door.
After I got my breathing under control, I sat with my legs extended, and my hands on the side of me.
I was dripping blood out of my nose, and my mouth was leaking too.
It felt like that nigga might have rearranged my fuckin jaw.
I could feel my right eye swelling too. Even with all that, I laughed in his face.
I laughed because I knew it was going to be me to have the last laugh at the end of the day.
“Go ahead, and have your turn, nigga. I did so much shit to that girl that she deserves to have her little get back. I’m telling you that Deja going to come back.
She always do. This not the first time that she found herself in her feelings with me, and she used another nigga to make me jealous.
Last nigga she did that with, she almost got his ass killed.
You got a taste of poison, and that’s why you feeling like macho man.
That good ass pussy she got will do it to you.
I know the feeling, man. Why you think I popped up at her house?
The pussy on her is dangerous and will have you doing some wild shit.
Just remember, every trick she doing on you, I taught her that shit,” I let him know, and once I was finished, it was his turn to laugh. Not only did he laugh, but he smiled.
“You keep saying that she always comes back. Main man, I can assure you that this will be the first time that she don’t,” when he said that shit to me, those little words held so much power in them.
Almost like that fuck nigga knew something that I didn’t. That’s why he was able to confidently smile like that. For the first time, it hit me that I might have just lost my bitch for good. Knowing that, I got this sharp ass pain in my chest.
He gave me one final look and went back inside the apartment. I sat on my ass for a few more seconds before walking over to my gun that he kicked away. Quickly, I stuffed it in the back of my jeans, and walked off, hating that I just went out sad about a bitch.
I couldn’t let that fuck nigga have one up on me though. No way in hell I was going to let a motha fucka that sold chains for a living punk me. Swear I was gonna get his ass.
