Chapter 2.2 #3
“I am a selfish man, my love. I knew you were ashamed of my presence in the bathroom, and yet I did not stop…and I feel you are still uncomfortable with having more light in the room, but I cannot help begging you to allow it. I want to see your beautiful face while we enjoy pleasure together…to admire every spot of your body that I already touched and caressed and kissed. I want to love you with my eyes and with every part of my heart and of my body…but I shall blow out the candles if you want…”
She smiled, tearful from his confession of love, her body still trembling and yearning for more.
“You are a dangerous man, sir. You pretend you allow me to choose, yet you know very well I can refuse you nothing.”
She pulled his head closer to her and whispered, her lips touching his ear.
“I was ashamed of your seeing me in the bathroom, and I am ashamed of your seeing me in the light; I am ashamed to think of what happened between us last night and of what I felt and what I have discovered. And there is nothing that I want more than to feel it again. My heart and my body are craving to feel your love again, all the time…and what my mind thinks matters little.”
A passionate kiss silenced her and slowly, his lips, his tongue, and his whispers started building the fire inside her again.
Then her mouth was suddenly abandoned as his lips lowered to her chin then to her throat and her shoulders.
He rose to his knees, looking at her with an adoring gaze that burned her.
She forced a smile, her breathing heavier.
He gently started to dry her skin with the towels, inch by inch, then he lowered himself on top of her again, kissing, tasting, savouring every newly revealed spot.
His kisses were first sweet, patient, and tantalising, making Elizabeth shiver at each touch.
Soon his fingers explored the beauty of her breasts, dancing around them, then his thirsty lips joined, and his tenderness burst in released passion.
His patience seemed to evade him as his caresses, kisses, and strokes became more and more eager, conquering her body.
He removed the towel from around her hips and legs then took off his clothes.
His dark gaze made her skin tremble; her face and her torso arched toward him, and he captured her mouth in a deep kiss as his desire found its way inside her.
Elizabeth released a small cry and tensed, so he stopped. She could feel his strength pulsing inside her, and she attempted to breathe as he whispered in her ear.
“Are you well, my love?”
“Yes…yes…”
He trapped her lips again, and his deep kiss matched the rhythm of his thrusts inside her. The whirls of sensations, stronger than ever before, made her head spin while her heart beat wildly in anticipation of the pleasure she knew would come, and it shattered her fiercely.
Elizabeth felt suddenly cold and realised he was no longer covering her.
She struggled to open her eyes and saw him sitting on his knees.
When their eyes met, he smiled, and his thumbs brushed her red lips for a moment; then he gently stroked her legs and pulled them apart.
Her breathing stopped, and she stared at him, wondering what he would do next.
He slowly lifted her legs around his waist and leant a little, so he could enter her again.
She gasped, feeling him stronger and deeper than before, slowly taking possession of her being.
He kept smiling while his thrusts renewed, longer, slower, more powerful.
Her body arched toward him while his hands caressed her shoulders, her arms, her face, then brushed over her breasts, and his palms captured both while his thrust increased.
Another cry escaped Elizabeth, and she tried to control it, biting her lips, but his fingers parted them gently.
“Do not hold anything back, my beautiful wife. I want to see you, to listen to you, to feel you taking your pleasure while I show you how much I love you…”
He bent only a moment to steal a kiss, then he resumed his position while his palms returned to their sweet possession and his thrusts grew harder and faster.
She called his name and attempted to move to him—with him—then stretched her arms to touch him and he finally leant over her, overwhelming her with his weight and his passion, throwing her into another storm of feelings until they reached their fulfilment and exhaustion together.
Some time passed in complete silence, and their bodies were still united, their arms still tightly embraced.
“Elizabeth, I never imagined love could be like this. I do not know how to explain…if only I could find the proper words to tell you how full I am of you, my beloved wife. You are in my mind, in my body, in my heart, and I am frightened to even think that I could have lost you before even getting to know you. What would my life have been without you?”
“I do not think there are many words left nor needed between us, my beloved husband. I can easily understand your fears as they are mine too. I often think of that. But this is good, you know? If we share the fears, they will be split in half.”
He withdrew from her a few inches so he could meet her eyes.
“You are very wise, my love, but I cannot split the responsibility in half with you, as my share of blame is much, much larger. I was so determined to fight against my own heart—against my love for you—that I likely would have succeeded. If not for that day in the cottage, I would have left Hertfordshire and probably never seen you again.”
“Perhaps…or perhaps not…who knows? Maybe we could have met…in Kent when I would visit Charlotte and you, Lady Catherine…or maybe in London when I stayed with my uncle and aunt…or maybe we would have happened upon each other in Derbyshire if I had ever gone there…”
A large smile lit his expression. “True…the more I think of it, the more I realise that we would have found a way to each other. I would have found a way to bring you into my arms—right where you belong.”
“I am sure you would have, my dearest Mr Darcy,” Elizabeth answered, her lips, her eyes, and her heart smiling at him.
Yes, it was happiness. A full, complete, overwhelming, heart-melting happiness.
