His surprise had me wanting to give him more of me by the second.

I was still upset that he left me hanging but joining me on this trip gained him a lot of redeemable points.

I missed his presence and the dick he gave me while we were on the plane was everything to me.

However, this trip I planned on relieving stress, not gaining any.

As we filed into our taxi, I watched Jay head in the other direction.

For some odd reason, I felt worse than I did when he left the first time.

He acted as if he cared and that was a reaction I had never received from any man before.

Also, the dominance he had when he claimed me turned my body up to the max.

“Bitch you lie so much it’s sad,” Arin commented.

I looked at her like she was crazy because I knew it was her that gave the nigga our time of departure anyway. The only thing I mentioned to him was the place. Information about the dates nor flights was ever mentioned.

“That part. All that talk about her being done with him, but the entire plane heard the way he was delivering dick. You bet not utter another word about that nigga,” Toya chimed in.

My face was flushed. I turned my head toward the window to blush discreetly. Jay had my thoughts jumbled up to where I couldn’t think straight. As hard as I was, that man seemed to make me go crazy and also bring out that soft side of me.

“Now y’all making me miss Kane,” Arin pouted.

“No worries, he’s on the way,” I said signaling the driver to pull off.

“What you mean he’s on the way?” she questioned.

“You called mine, so I called yours. Payback’s a bitch ain’t it.”

She mugged the back of my head, and I laughed. She had to know I wasn’t going to let that slide. She was my role dawg, and I loved her, but at times I wanted her to mind her business and just allow me time to adjust to things in my life.

Jason was becoming a soft subject to me because I was indecisive about the feelings I shared for him.

On one hand, I wanted him to leave me the fuck alone the way he’d been doing lately, but on the other, I desperately wanted the comfortability he brought returned to me.

I felt like I could be myself with him and I didn’t want that to change just yet.

Instead of a hotel room, we booked a villa that housed six people comfortably.

We didn’t have plans on inviting anyone else, but we loved to move around freely.

The space was welcomed. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and so were the people.

I never wanted to date outside my race, but the temptation was front and center.

With the villa being near the water, I looked forward to walking on the beach and relaxing as much as I could.

This trip was for us to unwind because of the beginning half of the year being so darn jammed pack with work.

When we were in business mode, it was hard to get us out, but we were counting on this girl’s time to get us right and rebooted.

Pulling into the driveway, I was shocked at how beautiful the countryside villa was.

There was never a time where I thought the city would have any competition, but it did.

The peacefulness surrounded you almost immediately and I suddenly became envious of the people that got to enjoy this on the regular.

I noticed there was a rental parked in the driveway as well.

I said nothing about it because it could’ve been something either Toya or Arin purchased for us.

I headed for the door as the driver began to remove Toya’s luggage from the trunk.

Speaking that neither Arin nor I had any luggage of our own, the rental was nice to have.

We would need to go shopping before we could get settled.

Walking inside, my breath was taken away. This was such a beautiful place. I’d been amazed from the time we set foot off the plane. My smile stretched from ear to ear as I soaked it all in.

“You did good bestie. This is nice for real,” Toya said as she walked in behind me.

“Thanks girl, even though I didn’t know it would be so beautiful. I read that three out of the rooms have a bathroom in them so we should be good with having our personal space.”

“Where the keys to the car friend? I need to go grab some things before I sit down. I know once that jetlag kick in that’s it.” Arin approached me with her hand out.

“Don’t look at me. I didn’t rent the car. Ask Toya,” I said walking toward the kitchen for a bottle of water.

“I didn’t rent that. I thought that was one of y’all doing,” she replied leaving both me and Arin in confusion.

“If neither one of us rented the car, then who did?” I questioned trying to figure out what was going on and if we were truly alone. The rental wasn’t included in our package.

“That’s all me.” His voice was unique so I could make him out of a crowd of a thousand men.

Turning around, I was looking into the face of a man that would follow me to the end of time if I allowed him.

His smile beamed from ear to ear, and I could feel my center beginning to soak from the memories we made hours ago.

He was too damn fine and the way he handled me didn’t make the feelings I had for him fade any faster.

“What are you doing here Jason?” I inquired trying to hide my excitement.

“Following my woman and making sure she enjoys her vacation. Is there a problem?” He stared at me with alluring eyes, and I folded like a lawn chair.

“N-no.” my head dropped faster than I could respond.

“That’s what I thought. Pull up what you need to so we can do a little shopping. Are you too tired to cook? We can stop and grab some food or whatever you want to do.”

His attitude toward me hadn’t changed one bit. Those days he spent away from me were ones that allowed me to miss him. I wasn’t sure why he followed behind me, but I was glad he did.

“We can just pick up something. I’m low key ready to relax.”

“Cool. Let’s head out then.”

He made his way towards us and placed a kiss on my forehead before he exited the house, leaving us all standing there waddling in our thoughts. Once he was out of sight, they started to cut up like I knew they would.

“Ooooo, bitch!” Arin said being the first one to break the ice.

“Took the words right out my mouth. Jason is not playing with your ass. I wish Kane stepped behind me like that. He’s so damn calm you wouldn’t know he was upset if he didn’t voice it,” Arin commented rolling her eyes directly after.

My eyes were still focused on the front doorway.

Jason was going to turn me every way but loose and I was going to permit it.

He brought out a side of me that I hated expressing but with him, it seemed to happen naturally.

He gave a leadership that made you want to follow.

He was different from the rest of the niggas I wasted my time on.

“Hellooooo?” Arin snapped her fingers in front of my face to get my attention.

“Huh? What?” I asked, trying to bounce back from the temporary spell I’d fallen under.

“Oh hell no. Where the hell is my man because y’all two muthafuckas not about to make me jealous from all the lovey dovey shit y’all getting ready to be on.” She had an attitude, and I snickered off her reaction to Jay and I being around each other for the week.

“Aht, aht. Blame yourself because you gave him our information so technically, this is your doing. Now come along. My man said it’s time to head out,” I said cracking the biggest smile to date.

“Heffa,” was mumbled under her breath but I heard it clear as day.

We got into the car and began our journey through town.

We hit up store after store running up a bag.

Jay and I were in our own little world with him following behind me and purchasing whatever I touched.

One thing I could never take away from him was his ability to spoil a bitch.

He came out of pocket no matter what the cost was.

Also, the fact that I had just as much money as him wasn’t intimidating to him.

He always appreciated the boss I was and never knocked me for working late or going hard for days at a time.

He knew how to adjust and accommodate me.

Most of the time, I found myself being pampered whenever I let him know I would be getting off work on time.

He didn’t fail at doing what a man was supposed to.

Maybe that was a reason why I felt safe with him.

“Can we talk tonight? I got some things I need to make you aware of,” he voiced as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

“Jason…”

I was afraid of what he wanted to say. We hadn’t said those three words to each other yet and I felt like when they were finally revealed, the dynamics of our relationship would change. I was avoiding discussions about our future altogether if I was being honest.

“You plan on fighting me the entire time? Let me know so I can move accordingly.”

“It’s not that. I just ain’t trying to do all that. I’m on vacation.”

Unwrapping his arms, he pecked the top of my head and handed me a few blue faces before he disappeared out the door. He wasn’t satisfied with my answer, and I wasn’t sure if I was either.

“What you do?” Toya asked as soon as she saw him distance himself.

“He asked to talk, and I dismissed it. I could hear in his voice that he wanted to confess some shit. My thing is, if he tells me he loves me, am I required to say it back if I’m still sorting out my feelings?”

“That’s the tricky part. We know what love is because we’ve always been the ones to give it first but now the tables are turned.

The three blind mice can see that he loves the ground you walk on.

I suggest you get your shit together before you lose him.

Jason ain’t like the bums we’ve had to cut off before.

I will tell you this though, your only obligation is to follow your heart and that’s all. ”
