Chapter 7

SEVEN

“Get back in bed,” his groggy baritone says right as I call myself creeping out of his room.

It’s six o’clock and I need to be back in Crescent Falls and on campus at eight.

He doesn’t go in until nine on Mondays, so whenever I stay here with him, I move around as quietly as I can.

As usual, I showered and dressed in his bathroom downstairs but forgot my cell.

I came back to get it and now I’m caught.

“No. Go back to sleep,” I say without even turning around.

I can’t be tempted this morning.

“Then come give me a kiss,” he says and I just shake my head.

He’s trying it.

“Shiro, if I turn around and walk back to your bed, you have to keep your hands to yourself. You cannot touch me,” I say adamantly.

“Just come kiss me.”

“I have to stop and get gas and—”

“And one of your little cold coffee shits,” he interrupts. “I did both already.”

“You did what already?” I ask, confused as hell.

“When you were in the shower, I filled up your ride and got your coffee. I wasn’t sure which flavor you liked, so all three are in the fridge. You have time to kiss me, so come ’ere.”

The smile on my face is ridiculous. This man thinks about me at every turn, every day, and in every way.

I didn’t even hear him leave the townhouse.

So because he absolutely deserves a kiss this morning, I turn around and my mouth drops open and waters at the same damn time.

His beautiful chocolate body is on full display.

The sheets and comforter have been removed for my pleasure and his perfect dick lazily rests on his right thigh.

Shit.

After the way he stretched me out last night, his lips and dick deserve a kiss.

Who am I kidding?

I’m definitely going to be late for work.

“So you don’t have to be at work until nine but you got up at five for me? You drove to the store, put gas in my car, and got my morning iced coffee? All for me?” I ask as I walk over to him.

“Yeah,” he says coolly, like every other man I’ve been involved with did the same. They did not. Only him, only the sexy, thoughtful, big man in this bed looking at me like I’m the most beautiful woman in the world.

As I step toward him, I unbutton and remove my satin, brown, collared shirt.

After placing it on the large leather ottoman at the foot of his bed, I loosen the tie on my black, pencil wrap skirt and remove it too.

The minute I lay it next to my shirt, I climb on the bed and inch between his legs.

“But you gon’ be late,” he says after lifting his head.

“No I’m not. Because of you, I don’t have to stop for gas, then coffee. I got an extra twenty, maybe thirty, minutes.” I place my hands on his toned thighs then slide up. When my right hand grazes his now semi-erect dick, he smirks. “You still worried about me being late?”

“Hell nah. I’m not worried about shit now.”

“Good because I’m not leaving here without kissing this,” I say before leaning in and running my tongue around his beautiful tip. After kissing it, I trail my tongue down to his piercing. When I lick around the barbells, he releases a slow groan and I love hearing him react to me.

Taking full advantage of the extra time his thoughtfulness affords me, I cover his tip with my mouth and take in as much as I can.

When it hits the back of my throat, he drops onto his pillow and palms the back of my neck.

While he grips my neck lightly, I give him the best, wettest, and sloppiest head he deserves.

The way he keeps lifting his head, calling my name and fisting my braids, turns me on. My clit pulsates and the seat of my panties dampens. I want him inside me so damn bad but I can’t.

Damnit! I can’t.

My man is a lot of things but quick and a selfish lover he is not.

I ignore my overwhelming desire to pop him out of my mouth and jump on his dick.

I pick up the pace, licking and sucking him until I feel his dick pulsate in my mouth.

He’s close, so I take him there by trailing my tongue to his balls and sucking them.

His grip on my neck tightens so I return to the tip and suck until he busts.

“Shit, baby. Gotdamn,” he groans while shaking.

“You’re welcome,” I say after swallowing and wiping the back of my hand across my mouth.

While he gathers his composure, I climb off the bed and walk into the ensuite bath. After gargling, I brush my teeth then turn to walk out. He’s standing in the doorway.

“You just gon’ fuck my head up and leave like that?”

After stepping toward him, I plant my hands on his muscular chest then say, “It’s Monday. You know I have to go. As much as I want to stay, I can’t.”

“I’ll be over to take you to dinner tonight then.”

“I won’t say no to that. Where are you taking me?”

“We can do that Mexican place you talked about so much when you were hiding a nigga.”

“Don’t do that. We were friends. We didn’t do dinner dates.”

“Only because you had rules.”

“That you went along with,” I remind him.

“I would have agreed to whatever you wanted just to be with you. You know that but we past that. Dinner tonight. I’ll be at your place at seven.”

“And I’ll be waiting,” I say before kissing him lovingly.

He steps back, allowing me to walk out as he walks in.

While I put my skirt and shirt back on, he uses the bathroom, brushes his teeth, and puts on a pair of briefs.

After he exits the bathroom, he walks me downstairs.

I slide into my heels, grab the mocha iced coffee from the fridge and my tote, and he grabs my work bag before we head out to the garage.

After kissing my senses away, he opens the door and I get into my X5.

I immediately notice the floor mats are immaculate.

A small amount of dirt from the small plants in the new faculty baskets spilled on my passenger side and I’ve been meaning to clean it up but I don’t have to now, because of him.

He vacuumed.

God, this man is everything.

The garage door remains open until I back out onto the street.

My commute to Crescent Falls seems lighter, easier, thanks to waking up in his arms and his thoughtfulness.

I park in my reserved space fifteen minutes before eight and walk into my office right on time.

Lexie greets me as I pass her area right outside of my office.

“Happy Monday, Dean Morris.”

“It’s definitely a happy Monday.”

“Once you’re settled, I have a blank signature plate. President Johnson is asking all deans to re-sign. He wants to make sure it’s updated before the next ceremony.”

“You can bring it now and I’ll sign it. I have a video conference in thirty with department chairs and I need to look over last semester’s student outcomes.”

Lexie follows me in, and after putting my bags down, I carefully sign the plate. This signature will be printed on all business diplomas, so it matters. When she walks out, she closes my door for privacy.

After using the bathroom and washing my hands, I grab a breakfast protein pack from the fridge then log in.

The first email I see is from Lexie. She’s prepared all the outcomes in pivot tables, making my morning extremely easy.

This is why I love her. I expeditiously send her a thank you.

Then I eat my boiled egg, yogurt with chia seeds, and blueberries as I review the tables, preparing for my meeting.

Normally, department chair meetings are a little intense.

Reviewing student satisfaction surveys, faculty surveys, grade distribution, and dropout rates they are ultimately responsible for isn’t the best feeling.

Many get defensive and offer excuses instead of solutions.

I’m solution-based, so those moments are unacceptable to me.

However, this morning, all five of them come prepared and with action plans for any lacking areas, which makes the two hours pass with ease.

When the meeting is over, I dispose of my protein pack container, wash my hands, then check my phone. I have a few text messages, one from Shiro and several unread messages in our sister circle group. I check Shiro’s first.

Him : I guess u made it to work.

Me: I did. Sorry I didn’t text. Walked right in. Did you make it?

Him: Yes. Got here at 8. Came in early. My crib felt lonely after u left.

Me: Aww You miss me already?

Him: I miss u every time u not with me.

This man… My God!

Me: Missing you too. I can’t wait for dinner tonight. I’ll reserve us a table.

Him: Already done. I remembered the name. We have a table at 7:45.

Me: Look at you handling things for our first official date.

Him : How you handled me this morning, I had to.

Me:

Me: You handled me last night then took care of me this morning, so we’re even.

Him: Nah. Not even.

Him: Gotta go. Don’t work too hard. Love your sexy ass.

With a smile plastered on my face thanks to him, I open our group text. They apparently had a whole damn conversation without me. Alex initiated it.

Alex: Don’t forget I’m not in town this weekend. No FNF for me.

Mireya: Playground weekend?

Alex: Yes, and much needed too. I’ll be back in town and reachable on Tuesday.

Mireya: You know I hate that we can’t contact you there.

Alex: I’m fine there. I’ll let you know when I touch down on Thursday. Trust me, I’m good. I stay there the whole time and never go anywhere. Don’t worry.

Giselle: She’s fine, Reya. Hell, I’m going next month. I need a break and release.

Mireya: My objection applies to you too. I hate that there’s no contact there.

Giselle: We are fine there!

Alex: Better than fine.

Mireya: I guess.

Alex: Don’t do anything new or extravagant without me.

Giselle: I was thinking about massages actually. Reya says she can make her world-famous charcuterie boards, one savory and one dessert.

Alex: Well, I’m getting a massage there, so I’ll allow that in my absence.

Giselle: Okay, bitch! Allow! LOL

As soon as I’m caught up, I jump into the thread, although I’m forty minutes behind.

Me: I’m down for the boards and the massage.

Alex: Finally. Busy morning, Miss Dean?
