Chapter 24
TWENTY-FOUR
Tre planned everything tonight: drinks, food, gambling, and strippers.
My brothers, the guys at the shop, and my DP brothers Kassir and Suleem, started the night at Deuce’s.
After good food and drinks, we took a Sprinter to the Hard Knox Casino and Resort here in Crescent Falls.
I won almost three grand playing Blackjack and Ace’s ass hit a fifteen G jackpot on a damn machine.
Everybody else did okay except Deuce. That nigga down a few stacks.
Right now, we are upstairs in Roulette, the strip club in the resort.
I’m surrounded by a gang of pretty females, titties, and ass and bored as fuck.
The only lady on my mind is mine and I’m ready to bounce.
“Can I get you another drink?” the half-naked server asks.
“Nah. This is my last one.”
“Last one?” Tre asks with a frown over the music. “Nah, get him another one. Shit, me too. The same,” he says while shaking his glass. When she walks off, he turns to me. “Nigga, it’s your last night as a single man. You need to drink, enjoy all this ass in your face, and loosen the hell up.”
“I’m straight, bruh, but after this drink, I’m out. It’s after midnight. I can’t be looking jacked up at my own fucking wedding. I ’preciate tonight. Real shit, thank you. Y’all stay though.”
“Oh, trust. I am. You got your key to the suite?” he asks because he reserved the four-bedroom Royal Suite for tonight.
“I’m going to head to the cabin,” I tell him and he laughs.
“Which one, nigga?” he asks.
“To see my baby, shit,” I admit. Technically, it’s after midnight and our wedding day. Our week apart is over and I need to feel her body next to mine.
“At least one of my married brothers is staying out tonight,” he says, then nods at Ace. Quintus left about an hour ago. He’s probably made his way to Mireya like I’m about to make my way to Kyrah.
“Give my drink to one of them. I’m out,” I say, then stand. After dapping him, I do the same to everyone else then walk out of the strip club, ordering my iDrive X. By the time I’m in the lobby, my ride pulls up five minutes later.
“Do you have a pass to get back to the cabins?” the driver asks once I’m in the back seat.
“Yeah, I got it,” I tell him and he pulls off.
Twenty-four minutes later, I show my ID and pass and the security gate allows us to enter. As the driver makes his way to the cabin, I text Kyrah.
Me: U still up?
Baby: Yes, in the bed thinking about you actually.
Me: I’m thinking about you too. U know what today is right?
Baby: Of course. I’m marrying you in 12 hours.
Me: And I’m seeing u in 5 minutes. The week is up.
She doesn’t text back. Instead, she calls.
“What’s up, baby?” I answer.
“Where are you?” she asks.
“About three minutes from your cabin. It’s the twenty-first and I can see and touch you on the twenty-first. That week apart shit has ended.”
“Shiro,” she says with a laugh. “You’re missing the point.”
“Nah. I’m missing you, baby. Come open the door. I just pulled up.”
The call ends and the SUV stops. I thank the driver and tip a twenty in cash before getting out.
As I walk to the door, it opens and I swear my fucking heartbeat increases when I see her sexy ass standing at the door in white pajamas.
My arms are around her soft body and my lips are on hers as soon as I’m within arm’s reach.
I missed the shit out of her and now know that time apart isn’t going to work for me ever again.
I’m so glad I’m officially moving into the house once we’re back from Antigua.
I’m thinking about renting my townhouse; a few of my nephews are already asking.
“I missed you,” she whispers in my ear.
“I missed the hell out of you, baby. Where’s your room?” I ask and she grins.
“This way, love.”
I close the door, hold her from behind, and stay glued to her as she leads me to her room. We are barely inside when I scoop her up and carry her into the bathroom. After placing her on the counter, I part her legs and step between them. While holding her pretty face in my hands, I study it.
“I fucking missed you,” I admit.
“I missed you so much too.”
“We’re never doing no shit like this again. I hate sleeping without you on me. Shit don’t feel right.”
“I know. Not at all. I barely slept this week. I messed up. Never again though. Our forever starts in a few hours.”
“Nah. It been started.”
After resting her arms over my shoulders, she tilts her head and smiles. “Let’s practice for when the pastor says you may kiss your bride.”
“Then, let’s practice the honeymoon in this shower. I need to wash the night away and make love to my wife.”
“Let’s,” she says before kissing my lips. “But the tub. My hair has to be perfect tomorrow. No frizz.”
While we kiss, I remove her shirt and bra and she unbuttons mine.
After removing my shirt, I ease her off the counter then remove her pants and panties.
My jeans and boxers are next. Somehow, we continue to kiss as she steps to the tub and begins our bath water.
The tub fills as our hands explore one another and I’m hard as a nail before we get in.
“Fuck,” I groan as she strokes me.
“You did miss me,” she teases.
“Hell yeah and you missed me too,” I counter as I slide my fingers up her already wet slit.
“So much. Get in the tub so I can show you.”
I don’t hesitate to step into the tub and ease into the hot ass water. Once I’m in, she turns the water off and steps in, facing me. She places her hands on top of my shoulders then leans down and kisses me nastily.
My hands rub up the back of her legs to her ass and she eases down to straddle me. She gently grabs my dick, lifts a little, then slowly smothers my dick. I damn near cry when I feel my piercing hit her warm wet walls. Being back inside her warm pussy feels too fucking good.
“Damn, baby,” I groan and she moans softly.
“You good, bruh?” Quintus asks as I let out another puff of air. Like I’ve done the other ten times, I nod while rubbing my hands together.
The day is here and I’m moments from seeing my baby walk out.
The backyard has been transformed to match Kyrah’s vision and our family and friends are looking nice sitting at the round, linen-clothed, decorated tables staggered on both sides of the white aisle.
Our mothers have already walked down and are sitting at one of the tables up front.
Her best friends look pretty standing to the right of the pastor dressed in their lavender dresses and my brothers are by my side on the left.
We’re all standing and waiting for my baby to emerge.
This morning, around eight, I snuck out of their cabin and came over to the family property.
I slept for another two hours but was awakened by the smell of bacon.
While I was asleep, my brothers came in and Shuga got up and cooked breakfast for us.
It didn’t matter that the cabin was filled with the planner and her team and the caterers, Shuga had us all under one roof, so she was cooking.
She lovingly hovered over us as we smashed the delicious thick cut bacon, home fries, toast, and eggs then she joined Kyrah and the girls at the other cabin to get ready.
We stayed here and got dressed. At one o’clock on the dot, the ceremony began.
Now, we’re here and I can’t stop rocking from side to side.
“Whew,” I exhale again and Reya laughs.
“She’s coming,” she utters.
Seconds later, soft music comes through the sound system and my pretty little niece steps onto the end of the aisle. She truly looks like a princess in her lavender dress. The bottom looks like large rosebuds and the same lavender rosebuds are in her hair.
“She’s so pretty,” Quintus utters proudly over the oohs and ahhs of the crowd.
Taking her job very seriously, Niya steps down the aisle on beat. She reaches into her basket and tosses the first round of petals out so high they fly everywhere. Laughter fills the air as she continues to throw them that same dramatic way until she reaches her mother.
“I did it right, Mommie?” she asks Mireya.
“You did. It was perfect,” Reya says in a lower tone than my excited niece.
The song changes again and I take another deep breath to calm my damn pounding heart and nerves, clasp my hands together, and stare at the door for her.
When the wedding planner opens the door and steps off to the side, my breath hitches again in anticipation, but nothing, absolutely nothing could prepare me for the vision in white that steps out.
My rapidly beating heart and lungs seem to stop working and I freeze in awe.
My baby has never looked as beautiful as she does now and the best part is she’s all mine and coming to me.
“Damn,” I mutter. Well, I thought I muttered it but from the reactions of my brothers and her friends and the spread of her smile on her perfect face, I was loud as hell. “Wow!”
She’s a vision in white.
Stunning.
Absolutely gorgeous…
And all mine.
I inhale and exhale, trying to calm my anxiousness and control my emotions. It doesn’t work though because with each step she takes, I feel something bubbling inside me.
She’s getting closer to becoming my wife and I’m the luckiest and happiest man in the world.
She smiles again and my emotions release via tears as I quickly wipe my eyes. She sees me though, and seconds later, she lifts her hand under her veil and wipes her eyes. When she’s less than ten feet away, more tears fall and Quintus pats my back.
“I’m good,” I whisper. She’s almost here.
The last few steps seem to take forever though and I’m getting anxious as hell. I can’t wait anymore. My feet move before I give it a second thought, I step toward her, and the pastor clears his throat. I don’t give a damn because I’m ready to marry my baby.
“I was coming to you,” she whispers, then smiles when I’m in front of her.
“I couldn’t wait,” I admit and lift her veil. “You look beautiful, baby. I’m so fucking lucky.”
As she wipes my cheeks with her white handkerchief, she says, “And you look so handsome.” After carefully wiping her eyes, she exhales then asks, “Are you ready to go up there now?” She motions her head toward the altar.
“After I do this.”
I step closer, removing the little space between us, then thumb her tears away.
She smiles and I can’t help it. My lips press into hers and I kiss her lovingly.
She kisses me back and we get lost in each other.
All thoughts of order, the pastor, and even our family and friends leave my mind.
It’s just me and her; the only thing that really matters.
“God, I love you.”
“I love you too,” she says, then returns her lips to mine.
“Mm mm mm aht mm,” the pastor says loudly but we ignore him. “You need to say your vows first.”
