Chapter 12

CHAPTER TWELVE

MARCO

Rory was stunning when she talked murder while we finished the joint. Something flickered to life in her eyes as she explained what had happened with the Soldiers, and I wasn’t even sure she knew she was getting into it.

I saw it. The reason why Skeeter was so drawn to her.

There was a darkness inside of her like the rest of us.

She understood it, craved it almost, and the power that came from that could make or break a person.

They either built empires to change the world, or they turned into Rage Evans and tried destroying it.

At this point, she could destroy the world all she liked as long as she bent over for me in the process.

“You know,” I murmured, reaching out to flick the zip on the jacket that she was wearing. It had to be Skeeter’s, there was no way another man’s crew jacket would be on her. “I kind of wish I’d seen it.”

“Be grateful you weren’t there. Skeet’s stuck cleaning and covering it up from the cops. It was at Tyler’s, so the cops probably arrived not long after I left,” she sighed, leaning over to open the drawer under her, finding my extra joints and pulling one out.

I doubted that. The house had insane soundproofing, so unless the windows were open, no one probably heard a thing.

“Help yourself,” I deadpanned as she pulled her lighter from her pocket.

“I intended on it,” she grinned, sparking up and having a puff.

“It’s a shame that he got you first. We would have had a lot of fun together,” I said as I took the joint from her for a drag.

“What makes you think I’d let you?”

“You like danger. It’s like a drug for you.”

“Your arrogance is astounding. You really think a bad boy personality makes all girls drop to their knees for you?” she snickered as I sat up properly.

“I’d be more than happy to drop to my knees for you instead, if that helps?”

“It doesn’t.”

A shriek left her as I grabbed her legs and tugged her into my lap so she was straddling me, my fingers going to her throat. My cock was one hundred percent awake now that she was squirming on it, my fingers tightening as she tried to pull back.

“I’ll get you bent over my desk one day. Slap your ass until it’s pink, and make you come so many times you’re begging me for mercy. You want Skeet to watch us? He’d sit in the corner with his cock in hand, watching as I ate your pussy until you squirted.”

I heard it. The smallest hitch of her breath.

My free hand moved to the zip on the jacket, slowly dragging it down as I pressed my mouth to her ear.

“Maybe he’d even want to fuck me while I fucked you.”

“Marco?” she breathed, my lips skimming her neck as I got her jacket unzipped and slid my hand around her bare waist, my cock hardening more as she rolled her hips a little.

Did she only have a bra on under this?

The familiar feeling of cool metal met my throat, her voice firm and controlled all of a sudden.

“I’ll slit your fucking throat and leave you here for Hunter to find.”

I let go of her waist and throat, holding both hands up to show I wasn’t touching her, a smirk on my face as I leaned back slowly. She followed with the knife, glaring at me.

“I really thought you were getting into that,” I admitted, pushing against the knife a little.

“That’s what you get for thinking with your cock.”

The door opened and Hunter appeared, sighing and shaking his head before shutting the door and walking towards us.

“Can you two flirt another time? I don’t need to deal with Skeet’s bad mood today.” He grabbed her waist and plucked her from my lap, making me hiss as she nicked my neck in the process.

The way the little minx smirked told me she’d done it on purpose too.

Now my dick was really fucking hard. The view of her unzipped jacket was also not helping.

Her tits would fit so perfectly in my hands.

She looked so pretty with blood staining her skin.

“If I was flirting, I’d have cut him after he was inside me,” she answered, putting her knife away to zip up the jacket.

“I don’t mind doing it the other way around. You cut me, so come jump on my cock,” I smiled as I patted my lap. Hunter gave me a look of disapproval, but it wasn’t like he’d object if she stripped off and asked him to join us.

She walked towards the window that looked down at the cage, tracking whatever was happening below.

“You should go down and have a fight,” I suggested, but Hunter glared at me.

“She stays here. You can go back downstairs. Go.”

“It’s more fun up here. Right, Princess?” I grinned, bending down to pick up the joint she’d dropped when I’d grabbed her, sparking it up again to take a drag.

I’d always preferred upper drugs, but with my options of those being zero, I’d settle with weed.

Hunter plucked it from my fingers and put it between his lips, motioning to the door.

“Get out. Go keep an eye on Faris. He was doing body shots off of Clara when I came up here,” he muttered, ruining my buzz.

“Man, why do I have to babysit him?”

“Because if he gets drunk and breaks one more of my barstools on the bar, I’m going to kill him.”

“I have no objection to that,” I grunted, eyeing Rory. She was watching me, not seeming to realize I’d caught her until I spoke.

“You want to watch me destroy a problem?” I asked with a smirk, hearing Hunter let out an irritated sigh, but he didn’t say anything.

“What kind of problem?” she asked slowly, curiosity lining her tone.

“You’ll see.” I stood and stretched, unzipping my jacket and tossing it on the desk.

She tried really hard not to look at me when I pulled my shirt over my head, but her eyes drifted to my bare chest after a second. She seemed to really like my tattoos, and I wished she’d come and take a closer look.

With her tongue or something.

“Let her come down to watch,” I said to Hunter, but he scoffed.

“Not happening.”

“You’re a real stick in the mud, you know?”

“She’s literally got a crime scene spattered all over her. She stays up here,” he bit out, and I gave Rory a shrug.

“I tried, Princess.”

“Thanks,” she said dryly, rolling her eyes when I winked at her on my way out the door.

I made my way down to the others, eyeballing Faris as he finished another shot. I didn’t have to say anything, the look told him to behave, and he thankfully got the memo and put his head down.

I headed down to the basement, where we had six cells made of thick steel bars, grinning at the guy locked inside one of them.

“You’re up, Kenny. Come play with me,” I stated, the asshole scoffing. He’d stolen guns from us, so I’d kept him down here for a week until I felt like handling him.

Now felt like a good time.

“Eat shit, Ortega.”

“I have a girl out there that’s going to like this. Hurry up, don’t make her wait,” I scoffed as I opened the gate and grabbed the back of his neck to drag him out. He stumbled with a growl, trying to elbow me but failing.

“Fuck you!”

“You’re not my type, man. Sorry. I’m not into thieving snakes,” I chuckled as I led him back up to the cage. People moved, knowing I meant business, and I could tell Kenny was trying to find an escape when I pushed him into the cage and he started looking around.

He was surrounded by Devils, so even if he escaped the cage, he wouldn’t get far.

I glanced up at the loft to find Rory at the window with Hunter beside her, and I hoped she liked the show.

Kenny could fight, which was going to make this a lot more fun.

“I’ll let you take the first swing,” I offered, my guys banging their hands on the cage and shouting at him, only amping me up more. Hunter didn’t mind getting blood on his hands, he was a monster when he needed to be, but I got a real kick out of it, so he usually let me handle things.

Like a cat with a mouse, I loved to play with my prey before I killed it.

“Please, I can pay for it. I’m getting married in a month. My fiancée—” he said in a panic, making me laugh.

“Your girl basically hates you, man. Your parents set you guys up, she doesn’t even like you.

You know she’s been screwing that linebacker from Kingslake University, right?

Can’t blame her, I’d fuck him too. He’s hot,” I explained, his face tightening.

“He’s probably going to go pro and she’d be set for life.

What can you give her? Your disappearance would be a blessing to that girl. ”

“She’s mine!”

“You’ve been missing for a week. She’s been going to his games and letting him bend her over his car. Don’t think she got the memo that she belongs to you,” I taunted, finally getting the reaction I wanted when he swung at me.

I dodged it, letting him try once more before my fist shot out and I felt his nose crunch under my knuckles, the blood starting to pour down his face almost instantly. Disoriented, he tried to dodge my second blow but I expected it and hit him again.

My guys cheered as I pummeled him with my fists, the metallic smell of blood soaking into my senses as the monster inside me took over.

I hit him, stomped on him, kicked him, and it wasn’t until I heard someone calling my name from a distance that I stopped swinging and blinked down at the guy. His face was like mincemeat, completely unrecognizable, and I had no idea when the fucker had died, but he was definitely dead now.

Blood dripped from my hands and was spattered on my face, I could feel it.

My body jerked as a hand touched my sweaty back, and I spun around with every intention on punching the fucker who’d snuck up on me, but I halted when I found Rory there.

How had she gotten down here past Hunter? There was no way in hell that he’d let her down here, especially into the cage when I was blacked out like that.

She studied me as I stared back at her, trying to calm my racing heart, and she took a step closer as if to get a better look at me.

“Think you got him, Ortega,” she finally said dryly, just as Hunter appeared behind her and went to grab her arm to jerk her back.
