Chapter 19 #2

My gun was in my hand before she could say anything, her eyes going wide as I pointed it at her.

“I’ve told you to leave me alone,” I spat, stepping closer until the barrel was pressed against her forehead. Mandy was screaming something at me, but I ignored it. “I could take a photo of you right now and send it to your daddy. Would that make you back off?”

“Why are you doing this to me?” she asked as she sobbed, and I really hoped she was terrified enough to realize I wasn’t the sweet man she thought she could manipulate to get her foot in the door here.

“You really think I’d want you? I have zero attraction to you, you reek of shit perfume, and you’re honestly a cunt. The real question is why are you doing this to me?” I barked, seriously considering pulling the trigger.

“Whoa, hey. That one’s too much trouble to clean up, bro.

I’ve looked at it from every angle to try and make it happen, trust me,” Skeeter said firmly as he appeared.

I hadn’t even heard the McLaren pull up outside.

He’d only been gone for a little while, so his meeting with Hunter must have gone to shit.

He put his hand on my arm, making sure I wasn’t blacked out before taking my gun from me.

“What did she do?” he asked firmly, his hand tapping my cheek lightly when I didn’t answer. “Diesel, tell me.”

“She won’t leave me alone,” I bit out, feeling dirty now I’d had her skin on me. “She straddled me and grabbed my cock.”

“She touched you?” he growled, handing my gun back to probably stop himself from shooting her.

“He’s such a sad sack all the time, I’m just trying to help!” she threw back as she wiped her cheeks, crawling towards Skeeter. “Thank you, he went crazy.”

Skeeter grabbed her by the hair and hauled her up, making her cry out as she tried to pry his hand off her.

“I’d love nothing more than to let him kill you, Claire.

You’re a worthless piece of shit. You want to try and assault my guys?

He said no. I’m aware that’s not a word you hear often, but as a woman, you should understand the importance of it.

How would you fucking feel if a naked man sat on you and groped you? ”

“You’re hurting me!”

“Let her go!” Mandy screeched, trying to help Claire as Skeeter dragged her towards the main door.

He shoved it open and tossed her out, probably giving her road rash as she skidded on the ground.

“Leave the girls alone, man. She’s right, you know? The asshole just needs to feel pussy on his cock and it would fix half of his problems,” Matteo called out, giving me a new target for my emotions. Unlike Claire, I could actually punch Matteo in the face.

I let Skeeter deal with the screaming girls while I stalked across the room to Matteo, slamming my fist into his face.

Samuel dove at me to pull me off him, some of the other guys that had been standing around started cheering us on, and then after a moment of wrestling both Matteo and Samuel, Skeeter jumped in too.

I had no idea where the girls had gone, and I honestly didn’t care.

A gunshot went off, stopping all of us as we glanced around to find Brick standing just outside the office with his gun aimed at the ceiling.

“Would you fuckers stop? Jesus Christ. Those girls have been nothing but trouble since they showed up,” he barked, putting his gun back by his side.

“I suppose you’re okay with Donovan though, right?” Matteo threw back, and Brick raised an eyebrow.

“Donovan doesn’t try to sexually assault anyone and she stays out of the fucking way. I’m not having this argument with you, man. You’re only fucking them to piss off Skeet. Keep Mandy if you really have to, but Claire has no reason to be here.”

“Claire—”

“Skeet and Diesel are in charge. I don’t always agree with their decisions, but I do with this. Those girls will bring us trouble, and it’s why we don’t allow academy brats here. Fuck the crew whores, for fuck’s sake,” he spat. “You can climb up and patch the bullet hole in the roof too.”

I didn’t know why they needed to fuck any of the girls. I wasn’t completely stupid, sex felt good, but it was because of the person you were fucking.

“D, go chill in the office,” Skeeter murmured, giving me a nod to let me know he had it handled, and as bad as I felt for leaving it with him, I wasn’t going to argue.

I headed straight into the office for a cigarette, sitting at my desk with a sigh. Glancing down, I was pretty sure it was pussy, not spilled whiskey on my pants, making me cringe as I stood to kick them off.

Thankfully, I always kept a spare change of clothes here.

I’d just put a fresh pair on and made a promise to burn the other pair, when the door opened and Brick appeared, yelling drawing my attention.

“What’s going on?” I asked as I finished my cigarette, moving towards him when I heard someone mention the pigs. “The cops are here?”

“Those girls caused a huge fucking problem,” he muttered, stepping aside to let me past.

“Are you fucking serious?” Skeeter demanded, blocking the cops from entering the main room.

“Just get in the car, Maddox,” the chief warned, his eyes going to me. “Maverick, you’re with us too.”

“What the fuck did we do?” I asked, my stomach dropping as he replied.

“We got a call from some girls that were just here. One is claiming you sexually assaulted her before Skeet threw her outside naked.”

“That bitch said I assaulted her? She assaulted me!” I snapped, and Skeeter put his hand up to silence me.

“Calm down. The cameras will show the truth.”

“They’re working today? Convenient,” one of the cops grumbled. “You guys look like you’ve been fighting. Something happen?”

“Fighting? We were just messing around,” Skeeter snorted, pointing at Brick. “Get the footage. I’ll sue that little cunt myself for making false claims. Where is she?”

“Outside in our cruiser. Are her clothes in here?” BG, the rookie cop, asked with a frown.

“She was naked when she approached me. I have no idea where her clothes are,” I growled, hoping she was cold and embarrassed as hell.

“She’s been in here for weeks with her friend fucking the guys.

She won’t listen when I tell her I’m not interested.

You fucking know me, man. When have you ever seen me chasing girls? ”

BG didn’t have an answer for that, but the chief sighed.

“We’re just doing our job. Claire’s parents won’t let this slide. You know who they are, right?”

“Some tiny ass hotel owners. They don’t scare me,” I scoffed, despite knowing they could bury me if they wanted to.

“If they don’t like that their daughter’s a fucking slut, that’s not our problem,” Skeeter stated, all of us at a stand-off until Brick returned.

“Emailed it to you, Chief.”

“I did wave—” I figured they’d see the gun pointed at her and should just tell them, but Skeeter cut me off.

“Diesel was only defending himself against an attempted rape. You can tell the Davidson’s that we won’t press charges as long as they don’t.”

“You think they’d be scared of you?” The chief snorted as he opened his phone to check his emails.

“They don’t have to be scared of me. Just Josie Holloway,” Skeeter said bluntly, surprising me a little. Dragging her into this could end badly, especially if she didn’t believe me.

Besides, she had no reason to get involved with us like that.

The chief paused, looking up from the video. “There’s no way in hell that Josie will come to your defense. You’re in a gang, Skeeter. She has a lot to lose publicly if she gets involved.”

“Are we being charged?”

“We’d like you to accompany us to the station, but—”

“Can we drive ourselves?”

“You’re a flight risk and you know it,” he muttered, glaring at me. “Or you’ll try and silence the victim.”

“I’m the fucking victim!” I growled, making Matteo huff.

“You’re pathetic, you know that? What man—” he said before I cut him off.

“If you finish that sentence I’ll—”

“D,” Skeeter warned, cutting off my death threat before it landed me in trouble. “I’ll call Josie. Stop talking and ignore him.”

“Don’t bring her into it. For you, sure, but not for me,” I said firmly, but he ignored me and pulled his phone out, calling her anyway.

“Hey, Josie. It’s Skeet. You don’t have to say yes, but are you able to meet me and Diesel at the police station?

No, Claire Davidson assaulted Diesel so I threw her out of the Shed, and she’s now claiming he assaulted her.

We can explain more there, and we have footage of what happened too.

We just know her parents will kick up a fuss about it.

Thanks, we’re leaving now so see you soon,” he said before hanging up, pocketing his phone again. “C’mon, D. I’ll drive.”

The cops didn’t seem to believe that we’d go straight there, or that Josie was on the way, but relief filled my chest when we pulled in to find her already waiting like she’d been there all damn day.

She walked right up to me, a determined look on her face.

“Tell me the truth. Did you have any kind of relationship with that girl?”

“No. I usually ignore her. I wouldn’t touch her even if I was interested in moving on from Sasha. She’s a bitch to Rory,” I grumbled, her eyes narrowing.

“The girls are still being mean to her?”

“Of course they are. They’re academy brats, and Aurora is Heights,” Skeeter replied bluntly. “Claire’s just pissed off I dragged her out today.”

“Inside. I want to speak to you both in private while waiting for the lawyer,” she insisted, motioning for us to step inside as the cops gave us dirty looks for bringing Josie here.

I didn’t particularly agree with rich people privilege, but if Josie was going to fight against other rich people privilege, then I was more than happy for her to cause a problem for them.

We ran her through everything that happened, and she took notes until the lawyer arrived to weigh in on the situation.

Brick emailed the footage to Skeeter, so we went over that too.

“They could have something to say about waving a gun at an eighteen-year-old girl,” the lawyer sighed, making me huff.
