Chapter 19

LEXIE

In the past when I’ve heard the term stalker, I immediately think of a creepy old man standing outside of my window ready to abduct, torture or murder me.

My stalker is surprisingly a fucking gentleman, two words I never thought I would use in the same sentence, and I have mixed feelings about it. Any other person would be terrified and running straight to the police department to file a report, but not his girl.

No, because my stalker saved me from a person who I thought was safe and nice.

Johnny.

I still can’t fully wrap my head around the fact that he fucking drugged and sexually assaulted me. I don’t even want to think about what would have happened if Reed didn’t find me when he did.

I should’ve just listened to him and stayed home, but then again if I did that I wouldn’t be experiencing what I am tonight.

Currently, I’m soaking in a bath that he ran for me.

He just insisted on washing and applying products to my face. I’m in fucking awe because this man who’s covered in tattoos and piercings, and who just broke a guy’s nose for me and threw vomit all over him, looks so fucking adorable asking me the steps to my routine so he can learn to do it for me.

I’ve never in my life seen some shit like that other than in the movies.

He’s a damn unicorn.

“What food are you in the mood for?” He asks, thumbing through his phone while sitting on the counter.

I shrug, “Umm… a greasy cheeseburger and fries sound really good right now.”

His lips tilt as he types something out on his phone as he stands, then stuffs it in his pocket before getting on his knees by the tub. He looks fucking delicious in his torn jeans and black band t-shirt.

He reaches over and cups my face before placing a soft kiss to my lips.

When he pulls away he says, “Food will be here in about thirty.” His hand snakes down my neck, over my collarbone and brushes a thumb over my pebbled nipple.

He looks down my body and I watch his expression morph from lust to something else before retrieving his hand.

“What’s wrong?” I ask him.

He stands up, “Nothing. I’m going to grab you some clothes. Do you want to smoke before the food gets here?”

I gently nod my head, confused on what I could’ve done wrong. Or maybe everything is okay and I’m just overthinking it like I do everything else.

A few minutes later Reed comes back, holding up a pair of sweatpants and a baggy T-shirt that isn’t mine.

“The one thing I didn’t grab was your clothes, so this will have to do.

Unless you want to sleep naked then I can grab your robe?

” He tilts his head with a smirk and I feel my cheeks heat. I want to melt in the bath.

“Those are fine.” I say.

He lays them on the counter and pulls a towel out from under the sink before laying it over the shower curtain rod.

“I’m going to go roll a fresh blunt for you. Just come out when you’re ready.”

I smirk, “Okay, thank you.”

He goes to walk out and stops in the doorway before turning back towards me, “Can you put some of your perfume on? I fucking love the smell of it.”

I laugh, “I think I can manage that.”

By the time I’m finished getting dressed and redoing my bun, the food arrives.

Reed sets everything out, but before we dig in he motions for me to follow him out on the balcony.

We take turns passing the blunt back and forth before I start having a coughing fit.

“Okay,” cough, “I,” cough,”think I’m,” cough, “done.” He laughs, making me laugh. “Stop laughing at me.”

He opens the glass door, “Let’s eat, Honeybee.”
