Rejected Bookish Mate and the Billionaire Lycan King (Possessive Small Town Alpha Kings #9)
Chapter 1
Rejected Bookish Mate and the Billionaire Lycan King
I read my dirtiest romance novels out loud to a stray dog for two years.
Turns out he’s my Lycan King boss standing over my desk growling “Mate.”
I’m a shelter girl with a book addiction and zero shame. I read that dog every spicy scene, every confession I’d never say out loud.
He just sat there. Listening. Memorizing.
Finneas Kingsley. Broody. Commanding. Tall enough to block the sun and built like he was carved for sin.
Knows how I take my coffee before I tell him.
Snarls when another man looks my way.
Knows where to touch me because I read him the page.
“You read me every fantasy you’ve ever had, Andrea. Now I’m going to make every one real.”
Then he wrecks me. Against his desk. In his library. Until I forget my own name.
Mortifying? Did I stop him? Absolutely not.
He makes me believe all of it. Same way I believed the stray was just a dog.
Then his mother fakes a dying wish and he rejects me as his mate. Chooses another woman. Announces his engagement like I never existed.
Guess “every fantasy” didn’t include loyalty.
I disappear. New town. Grandmother’s cottage. His baby growing inside me.
Now he’s on my lawn in the rain. Twelve hours. On his knees. Like the stray I used to love.
“I sat on your porch for two years because I didn’t know how to tell you. Let me learn. Please.”
Two years of bedtime stories and I trained a Lycan King to beg.
He can stay on his knees a little longer.
