Chapter 26
Solana Thomas
“I really enjoyed myself tonight. We’re gonna have to do this again,” I bashfully smiled up at Jrome as we stood outside my front door.
“Fa’ sho, you know I’m down to chill with ya fine ass whenever,” Jrome stroked my chin.
We both stared at each other, his eyes dropping to my lips, he wanted to kiss me.
My breath hitched when he brought his lips inches from my lips, Oh my gosh he was gonna kiss me.
I closed my eyes and prepared myself for a kiss, but I was shocked when he kissed me on the cheek instead.
Snapping my eyes open I looked at Jrome’s handsome smiling face.
I was starting to think I had a type, Jrome fit the bill perfectly.
With a toasted light tan complexion, thick bushy eyebrows, slender almond shaped dark Black eyes, with a nose that starts off broad but oddly his nostril ended slim, a head full of short kinky yet silky, curly hair that made you think he was mixed with something.
A full beard he kept short and trimmed. Jrome had more tattoos than I could count, starting from her neck down his chest, arms, and his hands from what I can tell.
I wanted to say he reminded me of Marlo, but I felt like it was my subconscious making me think that because I was being sneaky.
While Marlo was out on his last tow from the day, I was supposed to wait for him to get back and Sunshyne, me and Marlo were supposed to hang out for the night.
As bad as I wanted to spend time with Marlo I wanted to put space between us.
We’d been doing way too much for my comfort, knowing he had whatever going on with Fallon ate at my conscience.
I had to use every ounce of restraint to not fuck Marlo the day he gave me head.
The nigga made me cum three more times before he turned me lose and by then I was to spent to go back to work.
I slept in my skoolie until it was time for me to get Sunshyne off the bus.
I half expected him to pull one of his acting spells and try to pretend like nothing happened, but I got the exact opposite.
Marlo was all over me like we were together.
He even gave me head again in his tow truck after he basically forced me to ride with him for the day.
Marlo had me moving every way but the right way.
I couldn’t speak for him, but my feelings were too invested in him for us to keep having sexual encounters.
If we kept going down the road we were going I was going to be head over heels in love with him.
That sounded good but as long as he came with a family it wouldn’t be good for me.
For the sake of my feelings, I had to take a step back from everything involving Marlo and that included the days we chilled together.
Instead of waiting on Marlo, I took Sunshyne and left.
Zaylee had offered to keep Sunshyne for me while I went on my date.
Ever since I ran into her at the restaurant the other day me, her and Yanna had been talking basically every day.
We were still getting to know each other, but I could tell the vibe was different with them, it was effortless.
It had been forever since I’ve had female friends.
Before Sonni ran all my friends away, he had me thinking I was the problem because of the type of friends I attracted.
I started doubting myself when it came to making friends but as I got over Sonni and all the lies he told me I came to see he was the issue.
I really hoped Zaylee and Yanna would turn out to be good friends.
Normally I would never leave Sunshyne with someone I was still getting to know.
However, with Zaylee being Sunshyne’s vice principle she was familiar with her and Zaylee didn’t mind coming over to my house to watch Sunshyne since she was still ducking and dodging Mikael.
Since everything worked out so perfectly for me to go on a date with Jrome I figured it must be meant to be.
Aside from Jrome being fine he was funny, down to earth, and talking to him was almost as easy as talking to Marlo.
Jrome owned his own gym, and he had a big following in the fitness social media community as a fitness podcaster.
He said when I didn’t react to him like most other girls that piqued his interest in me.
I can admit I had no idea who he was, but when he told me I looked him up.
Jrome was modest when he told me about his social media reach, he had over a million followers.
I loved how humble he was. I could see a lot of niggas in his place letting the fame go to their heads.
Jrome wasn’t Marlo but he was a close second.
“Not yet, pretty girl. I wanna do shit differently with you. I know me if I kiss you I’m not gone wanna stop.
” Jrome’s smooth lust filled tone sent chills running through my entire body.
I’m sure my craving for some dick was a part of my reaction to Jrome.
He was definitely a smooth talker; I could see him having his way with females.
“I must be special?” I let out a small giggle.
“It’s too early for me to tell. Play ya card right and we’ll see.” Jrome winked at me.
“I guess I should go in the house. I’m sure my friend is dying to know how our date went.”
“Alright pretty, give me a hug.” I swear everything that came out of Jrome’s mouth had a sexual undertone. I don’t even think he meant to; it was just how he talked.
I leaned in, raising my arms to hug Jrome’s towering frame when my front door was snatched open. “Hug that nigga, Imma kill that nigga.” Marlo spat glaring at me with his nostril flared out and his jaw clenching.
I kind of knew about Marlo being in the streets when he was younger, but you didn’t get the kill a nigga street vibe from him.
Mikael, maybe but not Marlo. He gave off the protective vibe; someone you knew you were safe with.
Right now, I could fully see the side of Marlo that was in the streets.
Everything about him screamed he’d kill Jrome if I touched him.
I had never had a reason to fear Marlo for any kind of reason until now.
The nigga looked deranged. His eyes seemed like two pools pitch Black darkness, his long hair braided down into two frenched braids, his Black Nike Tech track suit, Black Jordan 12’s, everything about Marlo right now screamed menace.
“Aww shit cuz, this you?” Jrome asked Marlo without an ounce of fear in his voice.
Marlo’s body relaxed once he laid his eyes on Jrome. “What up,” My jaw dropped watching Marlo and Jrome embrace then dapping each other up, pushing me to the side.
“I ain’t know Lana was dealing with nobody,” Jrome cut his eyes towards me like a parent who caught their child in a lie.
“Solana,” Marlo corrected him, “But yeah that’s me my nigga.” Marlo snarled, giving me a dirty look.
“My bad G,” Jrome threw his hands up in surrender. “Thank God you blood cause I thought I was finna have fuck ah nigga up.”
“You feel me? Cause she wanna she a nigga’s other side trying me like I’m duck ass nigga.”
“You know how that go,” Jrome snickered, “I’m finna dip. I got some shit to slid into. Be easy.”
Only I would end up on a date with somebody in Marlo’s family. What were the odds in this big ass city the one nigga I agreed to go on a date with was Marlo’s cousin. I watched Jrome leave still in shock.
“Bring ya ass in the house.” Marlo demanded as he softly pushed me towards the entrance.
“Don’t push me,” I snapped, feigning an attitude as I made my way into my house.
Stomping past the kitchen towards the living room I looked around for any signs of Zaylee or Sunshyne. “Where is Zaylee?” I turned around to ask Marlo, as he gave me a death stare.
“Her and Sunshyne went had a few errands to run,”
“At eleven at night?” I smartly question Marlo, refusing to lose my attitude.
“Yup,” He menacingly replied.
“Okay, well, uh you can go now,” I nervously said to him doing everything in my power to avoid his gaze.
“You look good. I like this shirt,” Marlo replied as he tugged on the hem of my skirt by the small slit on my thigh.
I thought my outfit was modest, I wanted to look good without doing too much.
I wore a simple Black knitted sweater skirt set.
The skirt was on the shorter side, but it wasn’t too short where my ass was hanging out.
I wore red accessories to add some color to my outfit with red open toe heels and my hair in a half up down hair style.
“Thanks,” I grumbled fidgeting with a piece of made up fuzz on my skirt. I needed anything to keep my attention off Marlo, who seemed to be a lot closer than I remembered.
“You was really tryna impress that nigga, huh?”
I quickly shrugged my shoulders, unsure of how he wanted me to answer that. I kind of felt like he was trying to trick me.
“But I’m tryna understand how you gone dress up for a nigga you don’t know but ain’t never did that for me? That’s fucked up,” Marlo let out chuckle of disbelief.
