Chapter 13
Chapter thirteen
Raegan
All I want to do is wait for Aiden to step into position so I can kick him in the balls. The asshole didn’t tie up my legs, so as long as he’s within range, there’s nothing stopping me.
Nothing... except my weak, shaking body.
I can’t even muster the strength to raise my head to glare at him.
The room is quiet, so I can’t tell what’s happening until hands circle my ankles. A short tug drops my knees under me, and I collapse to the bed. I breathe a sigh of relief, my body sinking into the bedding that’s soft and comforting. In another swift motion, I’m flipped to my back.
Aiden straightens at my feet. He reaches for his tie, pulling it back and forth to loosen it in a move that shouldn’t look as sexy as it does. It fuels my anger, and I gather the energy to kick at him and curse him out.
“Ah-th-ah uh-g-ng ah-ohe!”
He steps back to strip the rest of his clothes off, dodging my kick in the process as if it never happened. “Have you reached your limit?” he inquires, a challenge in his tone. He doesn’t touch me, doesn’t move to do anything as he waits for my answer.
I glare at him, biting the fabric between my teeth hard enough to make my jaw ache.
“Tell me right now that you’re done, and I’ll walk out of here. You just have to blink three times.”
The problem is, as tired as I am, I’m not done. I want more. I want to hear what he has to say. I want to fulfill my word of having all of them. And I want him to slip up and make me come. We’re not ending the night until I have.
Staring him down, I shake my head.
He huffs with a small smile. “I didn’t think so.
” Aiden spreads my legs, holding them open as he positions himself between them.
“You’ve done so well tonight. But I don’t think we’re there yet.
” He takes his time to enter me, giving my body the time to stretch and lubricate his cock as he rocks the first couple of inches in and out.
“I’m not trying to control what you do. But I do want you to run things by me first. Let me worry about the risks and best course of action.
” His dick hits that deep spot in me that has my toes curling, and I gasp.
“My primary goal in this life is to see that you and the others survive.”
Aiden lifts one leg, and his cock drives into my cunt, striking that spot with more force.
My hips lift on their own, meeting him with every stroke as pleasure curls at the base of my spine.
He may be fucking me, but I’m fucking him right back, throwing everything I have into it.
The silk digs into my skin as I use it as leverage to move my hips.
My climax flutters in my abdomen.
So close.
So. Close!
My movements are frantic, chasing an orgasm as if my life depends on it. Even though I can hardly breathe and my muscles scream and tighten, I keep going.
And Aiden stops.
He freezes, buried inside of me, holding himself still as if he could feel my quivering pussy about to grip him tight.
I scream into the gag with frustration before it changes to a whimper. “Hee-z. Ai-yen. Hee-hee-hee-sh.”
Aiden chuckles. “Good girl. I think that’s enough. We’ll give you what you need, now.” He motions to the others, who surround the bed on either side. “Remove her gag.”
Jackson cuts the cloth and frees my mouth before taking it for himself.
He kisses me with dark possession at the same time as Aiden starts to move again, his hands on my breasts, my clit.
I’m overwhelmed with sensations that pool at my core.
One nipple is sucked, tugged, and nibbled, while the other is massaged and teased with fingers.
The attention to my clit reduces me to nothing more than trembling, needy nerve endings.
My body erupts with pleasure, my orgasm hitting me in uncontrollable waves. I barely register Aiden groaning as he finishes with me before everything goes dark.
I come to feeling like I’m trapped inside my own body.
It’s too heavy to move. Sated and warm. And somehow, my body is moving.
It takes a few seconds for me to realize I’m being carried to a bathroom when the squeal of a shower sounds.
Multiple hands are on me, holding me upright and guiding me.
Some are on my hair, holding it up and out of the way, while others wash my body clean.
I’m in there for only a couple of minutes before the water’s gone and I’m bundled into a soft towel and dried.
I’m carried again. I try to peel open my eyes, but they’re laden with exhaustion. Soft, cool sheets greet my naked body as I’m laid down. Bodies surround me, tucking me in against them as hands rest on any exposed skin.
I don’t bother trying to wake now as I’m cocooned by their warmth.
This is exactly where I want to be.
“I want to try talking to Alice again,” I blurt out over breakfast.
Dane nearly snaps his neck to look at me from where he’s working at his computer desk. “What? Why?”
Kellan and Jack keep eating, unbothered, while Aiden sits back in his chair at the head of the table to regard me with an unreadable expression. He doesn’t say anything immediately, waiting for me to answer Dane’s questions first.
“She’s been alone in that apartment for a few days now. I think she might want some company. Maybe she’s more willing to talk to someone.”
Fabian was picked to bring her food or anything she needed these past few days.
He’s a big teddy bear with the impulsivity of a sloth unless it comes to food.
Any potential temper or anger she throws his way won’t bother him in the slightest. And if she refused to eat anything he brought, he’d have no problem sitting and eating it in front of her to prove it wasn’t poison.
She’d have to fight him for whatever’s left by the time she changes her mind.
“Besides”—I redirect my attention to Aiden—“we can’t just leave her there forever. Maybe if she sees the Guild, she’ll want to join. Or what if she has information to share about Charles?”
“Or board members,” Kellan adds with his mouth full.
Dane shakes his head. “Let someone else go, then. Kellan. Or, hell, Fabian could do it with his next food delivery.”
“No. It has to be me. And... Portia wants to help.” I'd told her about Alice yesterday, and Portia jumped at the chance. She’s already planning on being here for it later this afternoon.
“She attacked you last time,” he argues.
“At first, but—”
“Who knows what she’s thinking now? What if she’s changed her mind and wants to try hurting you again?” Dane clenches his hands.
“I don’t think she will. Besides, Portia and I can handle it.”
Aiden finally speaks up. “Okay.”
Dane’s eyes widen as he whips his head over to him. “Okay? Aiden—”
“But you’ll take Jack and Dane with you,” Aiden finishes.
I frown. “She’s not going to open up to us then.”
“I can’t tell if I’m relieved or annoyed I don’t get the invite,” Kellan drawls.
“If she uses her gift, then Jackson can find her, and Dane can mute it. I don’t know enough about how Portia’s gift works and if she has to see the person to use it on them.
And I’m sure you don’t intend on destroying the apartment or hurting her with your gift, so the other two are the safest option,” Aiden explains.
“I can’t help it if that makes her uncomfortable.
Your safety—and those of the Guild if you’re offering her a trip to the Hall—are non-negotiable.
Considering she tried to kidnap Dane, then attack you, she shouldn’t be surprised we’re taking extra precautions. ”
Dane looks as thrilled as I am with the decision. Kellan chuckles and drops his fork to lean back, spreading his legs and arms wide behind him. “What’s the matter, Rapunzel? Afraid of a feral teenage girl?”
“Of course not,” he heatedly counters. “I’m more worried I’ll strangle her if she spouts crap at Rae again.”
“No one is strangling anyone,” I cut in, then swing my gaze to Jack. “Or threatening, stabbing, cutting, or otherwise maiming her.”
The person I’m most concerned about being in the same apartment with her again is him. He’d almost stabbed Ethan—my friend and the bar manager at Hype—for trying to take my hand. He’s already threatened to cut her tongue out for what she’d said to me.
Jackson balances the tip of one of his throwing knives on the table with a finger. I don’t know when or how he’d pulled one of those out so quickly during this conversation, but now he’s smirking and toying with it.
“Jack.” I know he heard me, but he doesn’t say anything. “Jack.”
“As you wish, little one.” I almost breathe a sigh of relief, but stop short when he continues, “Unless she threatens you again.” The knife twirls between his fingertip and the table.
I give Aiden a look that clearly shows how much I don’t think their presence is going to help her warm up to me and Portia. He stares at me head-on when he says, “I agree with Jackson. We’re not taking any more chances.” With that, he stands and excuses himself as I stare after him in disbelief.
It’s dinnertime when we arrive outside the apartment where Alice has been staying.
Aiden had moved her from Harvey’s apartment to one on a different floor.
To separate her from the bad memories and because he’d had all the flowers and gifts from his funeral moved there.
The apartment remains open now for Guild members to visit Harvey whenever they want.
I knock three times. “It’s Raegan and a couple others. Can we come in?”
“Go away!”
Dane scoffs behind me.
Portia cups her hands around her mouth and then holds them against the door. “Knock, knock! It’s just a couple gal pals and some delicious food to eat! And two guys we can ignore who’re going to sit in the corner because you attacked Rae and they’re worrywarts!”
The plastic bags rustle as Dane drags a hand down his face. Portia had instantly handed him the Chinese food when she’d arrived, declaring that he could hold them for us. Shockingly, he hadn’t argued and took them.
