Chapter 26
Chapter twenty-six
Raegan
Aiden’s surprisingly better after only a full day’s rest, and Kellan wakes up with him, starving.
When I update Portia on our group finally being awake and coherent, we receive a group text from Elias less than five minutes later that he’s ordered a breakfast buffet to be set up on Hype’s dance floor.
“I don’t understand how you and Elias don’t get along,” I remark to Aiden while shimmying out of my shorts and one of his soft shirts in the bedroom.
The others are waiting in the living area while Aiden and I dress in our regular clothes before we head downstairs to eat.
“He’s such a nice guy. I really like him.
He’s letting us stay here, he’s feeding us, he’s—”
A hand covers my mouth and shoves me into the wall.
“Tell me again how much you really like another man and see what happens,” Aiden croons, his voice smooth and dangerous.
I clench my thighs as his voice makes my core throb.
I don’t know how he does it. The sound of it alone, whispered in my ear, feels like he’s stroking my pussy.
I struggle to move my head, and his grip tightens to hold me in place.
“We’ve already established that I’m a jealous man with the others.
” He rubs his fingers over my underwear in taunting strokes.
My legs twitch as pleasure blooms from his touch.
“How do you think I’ll be if I hear you talking about someone else?
If I hear you talking up another man outside of your existing harem?
” He shifts the underwear aside and coats a finger in the arousal he’s already drawn from me.
I whimper behind his other hand.
“Shall I fuck you until the only name on your lips is mine? Make you come until you forget his name and everyone else’s?” He sinks two fingers into me, and they’re welcomed with slick passage. I moan, my eyes shuttering as those fingers curl and spark a current of need.
His hand shifts from my mouth to my throat, and he kisses me.
I'm expecting it to be rough with his current mood. Teeth and tongue, and the demand for submission. Instead, it’s smooth and languorous.
I arch into him, desire burgeoning through me with every soft stroke of his tongue.
Every press of his mouth that lights me on fire, coaxing my soul from my body as his fingers pick up the pace, fucking my cunt and sucking my essence through my lips.
Pushing to my toes, I wrap a leg around his hips to grant him deeper access, my hands clawing at his shoulders, his nape, into his hair to remove any distance between us.
The reason why he’s doing this has completely left my thoughts as I zero in on the pleasure building between my thighs.
As I rock against his fingers to chase the orgasm that’s curling at the base of my spine.
My pussy flutters around his fingers, and my body stiffens.
He retracts his fingers and breaks the kiss, pinning me to the wall by my neck.
“No!” I cry, gasping and pulling both sides of his untied tie to try to bring him closer.
“Next time you want to come, you’ll have to beg me for it.”
Anger replaces lust, growing hot in my chest. I shove at him, but he doesn’t budge. “Good thing I have three others who’d be happy to help,” I snarl.
His smirk is nothing short of devious. “Go ahead and try. I’ll tell them what you said about Elias.” Aiden’s lips graze my ear. “What do you think Jackson will do to him?”
Fuck.
This time, when I push him back, he releases me. Aiden brings the fingers he’d been fucking me with to his mouth and sucks them clean without breaking eye contact.
My breath hitches, and a resounding throb echoes in my cunt, desperate for more.
“I’m looking forward to your begging.” He pinches my chin and runs his thumb over my bottom lip. “And the name on your lips better be mine.”
I smack his hand away, and he chuckles, picking up his jacket from the bed and leaving the room.
Asshole.
I’m half tempted to get myself off while I’m alone, but with my luck, he’d fucking sense it and storm in with an even greater punishment. I keep my shaking hands to myself, roughly yanking clothes on to try erasing his teasing touch that still lingers.
When I leave the bedroom, Kellan’s sitting on the couch with one arm up and his legs spread wide.
He gives me a wolfish grin like he knows an embarrassing secret of mine.
Dane is in one of the upholstered chairs and looks at me with heat in his molten amber eyes.
It’s a look that says he’s fully on board with teasing the shit out of me until I beg.
Aiden stands when I enter, fixing the cuff of one sleeve as he appraises me from head to toe.
Jackson is missing.
“Where’s Jack?” I ask.
“Reid stopped by while we were getting dressed. Jackson left with him,” Aiden replies.
I breathe a sigh of relief. Aiden cocks a brow, as if he can sense there’s more than just my recent compliment of Elias that I’m worried over, and I beeline to the door before my face gives anything away. “Should we see where he went?”
Kellan’s arm wraps around my shoulder, and he tugs me against him while my hand is on the doorknob. I’m annoyingly aware of the firm press of muscle and heat radiating from him. “Don’t run or else be prepared for the consequences, beautiful.”
Smiling wickedly at him, I purr, “Maybe that’s exactly what I want.”
He grins. “Oh, I’m sure it is. But you might not like the ending.” Kellan’s teeth scrape my earlobe, and I shiver. “Seeing as you’ve been banned from orgasms.”
Growling, I push him away and shoot daggers at Aiden.
He’s completely unapologetic as he returns my glare with nothing more than a tiny smirk of victory. “I’m sure he’ll join us when he’s finished,” he says, answering my original question.
Dane captures my hand in his, linking our fingers together. “Come on. Let’s eat before the rest of the Guild gets there and there’s nothing left. As soon as Fabian shows up, it’ll be over.”
I laugh now that I know Fabian and how true it is.
I think it’s a superpower of Dane’s to be able to comfort me and make me laugh even when I’m in the thick of a bad mood.
He smiles at me with that boyish I’m-so-in-love-with-you look that makes the world feel like it could be filled with rainbows and butterflies if I stare at him too long.
It’s dangerous.
Hype’s dance floor is filled with circular tables and folding chairs.
Long tables bordering either side are packed with food.
I take back my earlier sentiment. There should be enough food for us and Fabian, by the looks of it.
The platters are heaping with food and filled with every breakfast dish one could think of.
There are a few Guild members here so far, but we’re still early enough to have first pick of seats. Dane guides me to one of them. “What can I get for you?”
I almost refuse—I can get my own food—but his look of pure excitement to bring me something has me hold my tongue. “All of it looks good,” I answer honestly. I’m not sure if there’s anything here I wouldn’t like. “I’ll be happy with whatever you grab.”
Metal screeches behind me, and I turn to see Kellan sprawled in the folding chair next to me. “If you’re taking orders, Rapunzel, I’ll take whatever she’s having. Then double it.”
Dane glares at him. “Get it yourself.”
“I’ll get it,” I offer, moving to stand. Dane puts his hand on my shoulder to keep me in my seat.
“No. I’ll do it.” He shoots a look over at Kell. “But I’m getting hers first.”
Kellan grins, and Dane rolls his eyes and stalks off to the tables.
“Well played, beautiful,” Kell drawls, leaning an elbow on the table to shift closer to me.
I shrug, scanning the room and finding Aiden speaking to Elias by the bar. No sign of Jackson yet. “You’re just starting to feel better. I would’ve gotten the food for you whether Dane did or not.”
He growls, grabbing my face and forcing my full attention to him. “I don’t think it’s possible for me to love you more than I do. It makes me feral. Makes me want to rut you into the table while everyone watches so they know you’re mine.”
Wings flutter in my abdomen. As hot as that sounds, I know the others might gouge some eyes out if that were to happen. And I like all the people here. Instead of leaning into that train of conversation, I tease him instead. “Like how you asked me to pet your rooster?”
His eyebrows lift. “My rooster?”
“I'm assuming you meant your cock. You asked me several times if I was there to pet your rooster while you were still out of it.”
“What else did I say?”
“Something about a wet whistle and another comment involving sloths,” I recount with a smile.
Dane sets a plate in front of me with a scoff. “I’m not repeating the shit you told me when I helped you to the bathroom. I was traumatized enough the first time.” He returns to the buffet tables with a fresh plate before we can question him further.
I jab my fork into scrambled eggs. “Geez, Kell. What did you say to him?”
Kellan snorts. “Hell if I know.”
The chair on my other side slides back. Aiden sits with a mug of coffee.
“There’s been no word from Charles and no sign of GE activity. I’d expected something to happen at the Tower, but security footage hasn’t shown anything.”
“Elias told me we destroyed one of his headquarters. Maybe he’s too busy cleaning that up?” I guess between bites.
“Or he’s waiting for one of us to show before he attacks it,” Kellan adds. “Either way, I’m not complaining it’s been left alone.”
Aiden rubs the rim of the mug in an almost self-soothing motion as he becomes lost in internal debate.
Dane returns with a plate for Kellan and himself. He frowns at Aiden in the seat next to me as if he’d been planning to sit there. He takes the chair on Aiden’s other side with a grunt, then digs into his food.
Aiden finishes whatever line of thought in his head and continues, “I spoke to Elias. We’re going to regroup in his apartment after breakfast—”
“Lunch,” Kellan interrupts, but Aiden presses on as if he hadn’t said anything.
“—to discuss the plan moving forward. I’ve gotten the reports from the other strike team leads to see who was able to eliminate their board member and who was not. We were able to take out three of the ten.”
“That’s not even half,” Dane grumps.
Gasps and whispers erupt around us, and I realize how full the room is now with Guild members, Pits fighters, and Hype staff combined. The crowd standing around or waiting for the line to move parts, and Jackson strolls through the center.
With fresh blood speckling his face.
