Chapter 51
Chapter Fifty-One
KNOX
Carter lifts her into his arms, and she presses her face to his chest inhaling his scent. I fucking love it when she does that like she can’t get enough of our smell.
“Carter.” She smiles softly as he carries her off the plane.
“It’s still something. Isn’t it?” Kill says, walking down the steps beside me and I nod.
“Sure is. So many years without a single touch but now he welcomes it.”
Carter lets us know he hears us by throwing over his shoulder.
“Only her. Don’t get any stupid fucking ideas.”
Kill and I exchange a glance as Carter helps her into the SUV.
He isn’t cured, and I don’t think he ever will be, but if he can let her touch him, I suppose that’s good enough.
“No, Little Heathen. The blindfold stays on.”
Kill and I get in the far back after he nods to the driver.
“Am I going to have this on all day? All night?” Heather asks, sounding annoyed, and I fight my laughter.
“No, Tesoro. It’s a surprise.”
Carter takes her hand and presses soft kisses to her palm.
“Almost there.”
She lays her head on his shoulder and places his arm around her, settling his hand on her bicep.
When we arrive, Kill fishes the keys out of his pocket and walks ahead of us to open the door.
After we’ve showered, Kill and I wait for Carter and Heather to come out of the bathroom they used.
Heather is stunning, wearing a lavender sundress that falls just above her knee.
Her hair is up in a bun, exposing her gorgeous neck.
Now that the blindfold has been removed, her eyes sparkle as she glances around the room.
Carter takes her hand and walks her to the back door, and we all go outside.
The Heathen
I walk through the cobblestone path with multi-colored roses on either side as the sun shines over us.
Killian, Carter and Knox are quiet as I keep walking.
When I spot the ocean, I squeal excitedly and kick my shoes off.
Taking off in a sprint, I run to the water and stand still.
The water washes over my feet as I stare up into the bright sky, a calmness fills me as the sun heats my skin.
A hand touches each of my shoulders and another on the middle of my back, a strong emotion washes over me like waves on a beach.
“You did this for me.”
These men listen to every word I say and take it to heart. Nothing is insignificant.
“Of course we did this for you, Killer. Everything is for you.”
I turn to them as tears fall down my face, and spot three matching expressions, filled with concern.
“Happy tears. I promise.”
I take a deep breath and try to explain why I’m so emotional.
“When I was being violated, I frequently disassociated. It was my way of getting through it. I would close my eyes and picture the ocean. I had never even been near one, but I always thought it would be peaceful. I can’t believe I’m here. And I won’t forget this.”
Carter pulls me into his arms, holding me tight.
“We are considering buying this house for you, Little Heathen. If you like it. We will buy a place in New York too. This would be for the summer or whenever you want to get away.”
I tilt my head back and stare at him.
“What? Why? You didn’t have-“
He silences me with a soft kiss.
“We can’t change the life you lived until this point. Nothing we can do will ever erase the things you’ve been through, but we can give you this. You want sunshine, we will give that to you. Anything you want is yours.”
I turn slightly so I can see all three of my men. I’ve known for a while that they’ll do anything for me. While I appreciate it, I’m not the only one who matters in this relationship.
“What about you? What do you want?”
Killian shakes his head at me as if I’m ridiculous, but it was a sincere question.
“Don’t you get it, baby? We have everything we want. You.”
Knox takes my hand, pulling it to his lips, he kisses my palm tenderly.
“You are the endgame, Tesoro. If you want sunshine, so do we. If you want the ocean, we do too. If there aren’t enough roses, we’ll get more. Making you happy is all that matters to us.”
I swipe the tears from my cheek and admit the truth.
“I don’t deserve you. Any of you.”
Killian moves closer to me, a dark glint to his eyes as his lips pull up into a mischievous grin. Placing his hands on my hips, he lifts me over his shoulder with a chuckle.
“What are you doing?” I squeal as I try to get free but fail.
“You need to cool off. You’re too hot, baby. I’m pretty sure that’s why you’re saying crazy shit like you don’t deserve us.”
