Chapter 28 Gabe #2

She swallows. “Even the redhead.”

I tighten my grip on her hair. “Especially the redhead. If you want we can take this party back to the clubhouse and let her watch, but I don’t think it’ll get the reaction you want. She’s kind of got a crush on you too.”

She stops, staring at me like she can’t tell if I’m serious.

Grinding into her, I nip at her collar bone. “Can’t say I blame her.”

She grins, pressing her lips to mine and twisting her fingers in my hair. “And what if I decide I like her more than you.” She giggles as she says it.

I pull her back by her hair and narrow my eyes. “Not fucking funny.”

The giggle turns to a full-blown cackle, and my chest warms.

Shit. It’s not even been a month, but I definitely love this girl.

She finishes and I follow close behind before we put our clothes back on and head back.

When we walk into the clubhouse hand in hand, I think she’s feeling better, but in case she needs more convincing, I’ll drive it home.

I stroll through the crowd, dragging her behind me. When Theo tries to flag me down, I ignore him. I’m on a mission. As we make it across the room, I step onto a stool and jump up on the bar with a shit-eating grin.

She pulls at my jeans, her eyes widening. “What are you doing?”

I smile at the crowd, none of which are paying any attention to me, so I shout, “Hey, fuckers!” Everyone turns in my direction. “This”—I point down at her—“is Ash. You probably know her as Shane’s sister.”

My dad glares at me, shaking his head.

“But if you didn’t know, she’s also my girlfriend.” Still grinning, I add, “So, fuck off.”

I finish by flipping the bird and jumping down. Grabbing her face, I crash my lips into hers. Her back hits the edge of the bar.

She giggles uncontrollably.

To be sure I made my point, I ask, “Are you still confused about where we stand?”

She shakes her head, continuing to laugh. “You’re crazy.”

“Yeah, maybe,” I say, burying my face in her neck to conceal my grin. There’s nowhere I want to be more than wherever she is. I’m officially one of those guys that other guys make fun of, and I don’t give a shit in the slightest.

Then the hurricane I’ve been bracing for, barrels toward me. “Absolutely not! Have you lost your goddamn mind?” Shane yanks me away from his sister.

I stumble back.

Here we go.

“Shane! Stop!” Ash yells, trying to step in front of him.

It’s no use, Shane shrugs her off, pointing a finger in my face. “You’re not dating my sister!”

I fake frown, then grin. “Weird. I think I am.”

“I will fucking kill you!”

“That’s unfortunate.” I chuckle. “It’ll have been worth it, though.” Looking over his shoulder to the girl I’d gladly take this beating for, I say, “It was so nice knowing you, baby.”

And I wink.

Just like I knew it would, that sets him off. “You’re a fucking psychopath. She’s my sister!”

“And my girlfriend.”

His eyes bulge, and he lunges for me. “You’re dead!”

Too far, Gabe.

Grimacing, I shuffle back with my hands up to avoid his swing. “Okay. Okay. Listen, man. I’m sorry. I really am. I wish she wasn’t your sister. But I can’t help it. I’m crazy about her.”

The smile that pulls on my lips is purely subconscious because I am wholly fucking obsessed with her.

“Shane. Stop.” She puts a hand on his shoulder.

He flicks his attention between us, trying to figure out how the fuck to process it. Just when I think he’s about to hit me, he takes a step back and scoffs.

“I can’t believe this shit.” Turning his back to me, he puts his hands on his hips and tilts his face to the ceiling. When he finally addresses me again, he says, “If you hurt her…”

“I know.”

“I’m so fucking serious.”

“I got it.” My eyes flick to her. She takes a couple of steps toward me, and I wrap an arm around her neck, pulling her to my chest.

“Fuck,” he groans. “Goddamn it. This is gonna end badly.”

Then, he exhales and stomps away.

Ash chuckles against my chest.

“He took that better than I expected,” I say with my lips pressed to the top of her head.

She throws her head back to look at me. “What? That was terrible!”

“I fully expected him to hit me.”

She shakes her head, and I kiss her nose. I’d let him hit me a hundred times if it means I get to have her.

“Fuuuck, Ash.” My head drops forward, and I brace myself on the shower wall in front of me. “Eyes up here, love.”

Ash lifts gray eyes to me as she kneels at my feet with her mouth wrapped around my cock.

Her fingers dig into my thighs as I rock into her perfect mouth.

I may never be able to fuck anyone again because nothing has ever compared to this.

She hums around me as I push all the way to the back of her throat.

I’m right at the edge when the bathroom door flies open.

Ash’s eyes widen, and she slides off me.

“What the fuck, Shane?” I shout.

Ash’s eyes fill with horror as she clamps a hand over her mouth. The shower door has frosted glass except for the space at the top, giving me the ability to glare at the motherfucker.

He stops in the doorway. “Shit. Sorry, do you have my clippers?”

“What?” I ask as he starts digging through drawers.

“My clippers. Nik said she’d cut my hair, but I can’t find my clippers.”

“I don’t have them. You barely even live here anymore! Get out of my bathroom!”

Something in my tone has him freezing before slowly turning around. “Please tell me my sister’s not in there with you.”

It’s taken a couple of weeks and one very awkward camping trip, but I think Shane’s finally settled down about me dating his sister.

Don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t like it, but he doesn’t look like he’s going to explode every time he sees her with me—or he didn’t until now.

Now he looks like he might actually throttle me.

I glance down to see her roll her lips under and squeeze her eyes shut.

Shrugging, I say, “Your sister’s not in here with me.”

“You’re a goddamn liar.”

I throw my hands up. “You didn’t ask if she was, you said tell you she wasn’t, so that’s what I did!”

He grimaces, turning around. “Uh! Fuck you!”

“Don’t barge into my bathroom if you don’t want to know what I’m doing!”

He shuffles from the room, muttering, “I hate you both.”

As the door slams, Ash giggles. “He’s gonna kill you.”

I quirk a brow, grabbing her head to guide her right back to my cock. “This is so worth it.”

After our shower, Ash gets ready, and we grab dinner before heading to the clubhouse.

Nik drags Ash to the dance floor the second we walk in the door.

JT slaps me on the back. “Hey, man.”

“Hey,” I reply, never taking my eyes off her. “What’s up with you? I haven’t seen you much lately.”

I’ve only seen him at work or club meetings the last couple weeks.

He takes a deep breath and bites the inside of his cheek. “Well, I haven’t told anyone yet, but Katie’s pregnant. I’ve been trying to move her into my place, but as usual, she’s being a pain in my ass.”

I’d never say this to him, but she’s kind of a bitch. She treats him like shit, and he lets her. They break up all the time, but she knows he’ll come running back when she calls. Now, she’s got him for eighteen years.

“Congratulations?”

“Yeah. I mean, I always wanted kids one day, but it’s definitely a surprise. It wouldn’t be so bad if she’d stop fighting me on everything. I’m trying to do the right thing, but damn.”

I let out a half-laugh, feeling kind of bad for the guy.

“You seem happy.” He’s not looking at me anymore. Instead, he’s staring straight at the blonde bouncing around the dance floor. It’s funny, it doesn’t matter what song plays, she seems to know all the words, singing along at the top of her lungs.

A smile spreads across my face. “Yeah. I am.”

“I’m glad it worked out. I gotta tell you, I like her. You better not fuck it up.” He laughs, but I don’t think he’s joking.

When she spins around, the lights reflect off her blonde curls. She’s glowing, and a laugh breaks free, filling the room.

“Oh, shit.” JT’s brows shoot up. “You’re in love with her, huh?”

I glare at him. “Don’t do that mushy shit with me. Fuck off.”

He laughs as I walk away.

A while later, I’m sitting at a table when Ash stumbles toward me, singing along to some girly song she’s playing.

This is what she does. She waits until everyone’s had too much, then she convinces some drunk bastard to give her the aux cord.

Then we all have to suffer through her shit for the rest of the night.

She leans against the table in front of me, swaying and singing a love song at me before grabbing my face and putting her lips on mine.

She lifts her arms in the air, throws her head back, and belts out the chorus.

“You’re drunk.” I laugh.

Hooking her arms around my neck, she shakes her head. “Nope.”

I wrap mine around her back and pull her onto my lap. “Yes, you are. Who’d you con into giving you the cord tonight?”

“Akers.” She grins. “He’s an easy target.”

Anytime Ash wants something, Akers damn near trips over himself to make sure she gets it.

These days, I think she’s got us all wrapped around her finger.

As if he knew we were talking about him, Akers pops out of nowhere. “You going to fight night tomorrow?”

“Eh… I don’t know. I’ll probably hang out with Drunk the Skunk here instead.”

Her mouth pops open. “That’s rude.” Grinning at Akers, she says, “What’s fight night?”

Akers lifts his brows. “Just a bunch of grown manchildren beating the hell out of each other. It’s stupid, but we’ve all been going since like freshman year.”

Her eyes light. “Ooo. Sounds fun! I wanna go!”

I don’t know why that catches me off guard. I shouldn’t be surprised. Ash is always down to do something fun, but I was more than willing to blow it off just to be with her.

“You wanna go?” I ask.

“Why? You don’t want me to?”

I shake my head, leaning in and just before I kiss her, I say, “I want you everywhere I go.”
