Chapter Fourteen

Sunny

I don’t give a damn if he thinks he’s broken.

I never fell in love with the Revenant he was before.

I fell in love with this one. The one with the sad eyes and broken heart.

I’m not arrogant enough to think I can heal him.

But I can stand by him and make his days a little brighter. Or at the very least more exciting.

He gently carries me up the stairs, down the hall of a million doors before we reach his room. Warm, cozy, all him. He reverently lowers me to the bed, brushing my hair from my forehead as he lays me back on the pillows that smell like him. Safe.

He backs away, eyes not leaving mine for a second as he stands at the foot of the bed, peeling his cut off his broad shoulders.

He folds it gently and places it on a desk in the corner and my gaze takes in the way his hands shake just a little.

His shoulders rise and fall and he turns to me, brows furrowed, as if he doesn’t know whether to come closer or to run.

He does neither, instead just stares at me.

His gaze moves down my body, then back again.

He stares at me for so long it starts to make me squirm a little.

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer,” I tease, mainly to get rid of the nerves that are wildly bouncing around my belly.

“One day I will,” he rasps out. “For now, I’m just trying to convince myself you’re with me.”

My lips can’t stop the smile that blooms on my face, or the relief that rushes through me. I think I may have worn him down. He’s not running, he’s not talking me out of this. No, instead he stands there like a man who has made up his mind. He’s choosing me. Oh my God, he’s unbuckling his pants!

He’s so hot my clit is pulsing against the seam of my jeans and I need to relieve the pressure. If he’s losing his pants, then so am I.

I quickly toe off my boots, wildly kicking my feet until they tumble to the floor.

Then I unbutton and unzip my jeans, shoving them down my legs along with my panties.

I throw off my top and bra and lay back on the pillows in time to see Revenant hesitate a little.

His hand stalls on his zipper, as if he’s going to put that wall up between us again.

His eyes meet mine and I watch the moment he makes the decision.

His jaw tightens and he frees the biggest, best looking peen I’ve ever seen in my life.

“Holy Mary, Mother of God,” I think I whisper, but with a naked and aroused Rev in front of me I may well have yelled it.

Judging by the way Revenant chuckles, it’s very likely.

His face softens before darkening again, eyes hooded, gaze glued to mine.

It’s so hot. I’m so needy, burning up wanting to feel his kisses, his touch, the weight of his body on mine as he fucks me into oblivion.

The thought of it has my breath hitching and my core clenching.

I run a finger through my folds, just the way I like it, gasping at how wet I am and all Rev has done is remove his jeans.

“Jesus Christ, baby, look at you. Is this all for me?” Revenant brings my wet finger to his lips, gently sucking the cream from my fingers.

“All for you,” I whisper, because my voice doesn't work. The sheer intensity of his gaze has stolen my voice.

“Fucking delicious,” he growls as he places a knee on the bed, his shoulder muscles rippling as he rests his weight on his hands, lowering himself until his face is hovering over my pussy.

His eyes flutter closed and I can’t believe Revenant, the man who sees my father on the daily, has just inhaled my pussy fumes. Jesus Christ on a cracker. My eyes widen when his hooded gaze hits mine and he smirks, fucking smirks before his tongue hits my clit.

“Holy shit!” I squeal as my back bows off the bed.

His hand slaps my left ass cheek as he growls at me to stay still and who am I to argue with a man whose tongue is halfway up my pussy?

I lie as still as I can, but it mustn't be enough for him because he throws one thick forearm over my hips, pressing down on my lower belly, pinning me to the bed. He laps at all the places that light me up from the inside, tonguing my hole, gently sucking on my thick lips before moving higher. His talented tongue bats at my clit until my moans sound like I’m possessed and stars burst behind my eyes.

I let go, screaming his name and coming on his gorgeous face.

My body convulses and I gasp for breath.

I’m also pretty certain I’m blind. I have to be to not notice the beautiful dark haired man, bracing himself above me.

“You’re so fucking beautiful when you come,” he murmurs.

“You will be too,” I whisper as I guide his face down so I can taste myself on his lips.

He groans into my mouth as I grip his cock, rubbing the head up and down my soaked pussy, letting him dip into me slightly before I come to my senses and realize I want to have this man to myself for a while before we invite any adorable dark haired babies.

“Condom,” I murmur into his mouth.

He doesn't even question me as he leans back on his haunches, his muscular thighs rippling. Holy hell, he’s so fucking hot, and huge and hung and a bunch of other good words beginning with “H”.

He leans to the side giving me an amazing view of his abs bunching and reaches toward his bedside drawer.

He pulls out a box and tears into it, pulling a foil packet from it and ripping it open with his teeth.

I watch in fascination as his thick fingers roll the thin latex over the most impressive cock on the planet.

I vow that one day I’ll have him in my mouth, but for now I need him where I ache the most. He leans over me again, nudging at my pussy lips with the thick head of his cock, guiding himself home.

“Fuck baby, you’re so tight,” he moans in a strained voice as he slowly fills me.

And fill me he does. I feel hot and tight and so very, very full that it takes my breath away.

“You good, baby?”

“So. Fucking. Good,” I pant. My nails sink into his firm ass cheeks as I pull him into me as far as he can go.

We both groan at the sensation and he settles above me, letting me get used to his size. Which is nice and all, but not what I want or need right at this moment.

“Revenant?”

“Elias.”

My eyes meet his and warmth spreads through my body.

“Elias.” He grins at my use of his name and it’s like the sun coming out on a grey day.

He’s breathtaking. “You’re mine. Your heart is mine.

Your cock is mine.” He chuckles and the movement makes me whine.

“I need you to move, please. I need you.”

He holds my gaze as he pulls back and then thrusts into me. Hard. Again and again and I feel myself climbing, soaring higher and higher, teetering on the edge and I don’t know how to tip over. Elias nips at my shoulder, the sting causes zings to shoot straight to my nipples and clit.

“Yesssss,” I hiss, nipping back at Elias, still chasing a high that I can’t quite reach.

Elias leans back, sucking his thumb into his mouth, releasing it with a pop. His thrusts get deeper, harder and I’m almost there, almost…his hand lays flat on my lower belly, his slick thumb strumming my clit.

“Come for me, drown my cock in your cream,” Elias growls and that permission is all I need to fall over the edge and everything inside me shatters.

Elias groans long and low as his hips stutter and the thought that I did that to him kicks off another smaller quake in my body, as if my body is trying to hold onto this man. I’m never letting him go.

Revenant

“Running away already?” Mercy asks, brow raised.

“Mercy, fuck.” I scrub a hand down my face. “That shouldn’t have happened. Sunny deserves so much fucking better.”

Mercy rolls her eyes, turning her back to me, but I don’t miss her murmured, “So do you.”

Closing my eyes I take a breath. Visions of Sunny beneath me, riding me, the way she reached for me over and over until her body couldn’t take anymore.

All of it. She’s perfection rolled up in a ball of sunshine.

I held her as she drifted off, a smile on her plump lips.

And that’s when I saw it. Dried blood on her hairline.

Blood from a man whose life ended all too soon.

If I keep her I’m condemning her to a life in the dark.

My boots echo in the hall, my steps steady, unrushed as I make my way through the bodies in various stages of undress, to my Harley. I need to feel something other than the clawing feelings of guilt that wrap around me.

I don’t know how long I ride, or where I’m headed until I step foot into Sunny’s church. I almost expect to see her sitting there, in the spot where she always sits. The one place I always pause, just to see her smile.

“Elias, I didn’t expect to see you,” Pastor Richards says, his voice low, calm, knowing.

“I didn’t expect to be here,” I mutter.

He tilts his head slightly. “God leads you to where you need to be.” He turns slightly, glancing at me over his shoulder. “My door is always open.” He walks the path I know well, entering his office, leaving the door ajar behind him.

Fuck it. If this is where God thinks I need to be, then so be it. I trail behind, closing the door softly behind me.

“Elias.”

“Pastor Richards.”

The man considers me for a moment, before sitting heavily in his chair on the other side of his desk, waving at me to join him.

“You know you can call me Warrick.”

“Never feels right.”

He stares at me for a moment. “Then how about you call me Sergeant.” My eyes snap to his as I straighten in my seat. “Sergeant First Class.”

“Sergeant,” I nod, my training kicking in as if it was only yesterday I turned my back on the Army, and not five years ago.

Sitting here, in the office that feels like a second home, I realize I’ve spent almost everyday for five years sitting across from a man I know nothing about. And yet a man who knows almost everything about me. I swallow, not knowing where to start.

“Look, I know you know nothing about me. About my family other than what you’ve seen when we cross paths in town.

It’s not how our relationship works. You talk, I listen.

But I want you to listen for a minute.” I nod, eyes on a man who outranks me in both military and faith.

“God has a plan for everyone. You may feel as though he left you open, soul bared and forsaken, but there is a reason for that.

What it is, I can't tell you. I don't have that answer. But you do. Deep down, in your gut, you know.”

“I can't trust my gut, you know that,” I reply through gritted teeth.

“It’s not your gut you don’t trust. It’s your faith. You’re scared that if you listen, really listen, and shit doesn't work out, then your faith will be gone. And who is a chaplain without faith?”

I swallow the burning in my throat. “My faith is my identity.”

He gives me an almost pitying look. “Your identity is more than your faith and the comfort you offer. It’s your strength. Your love for your brothers. And one day, your love for my daughter.”

My eyes snap to his, chocolate brown, just like Sunny’s. “I, no, she deserves-”

Pastor Richards raises his hand, silencing me. “Sunny deserves the man she’s chosen.”

I scrub a hand down my face. “I’ve already tainted Sunny. Did you know she protected me? The blood of three men is on her hands. That is the type of shit I bring to people. She needs to move on, find a good man.”

Pastor Richards stares at me before letting out a sigh.

“Sunny’s 25 years old. She isn’t a little girl.

She’s not perfect. She’s the eldest daughter of a vet.

” He runs a hand down his face. “Sunny knows how the world works. She knows it’s a cruel and messy place as much as it’s a good and just place.

She knew what she was doing, and I will never be disappointed that my girl protected men that have more to offer the world. ”

“Do we? Do I?”

He regards me a moment. “God wouldn’t leave you standing if he didn’t have a plan for you and the club. Remember that.”

I swallow thickly and nod. What else can I do? Pastor Richards stands, and I guess our session is over. He holds his hand out, and I clasp it, his grip strong.

“Listen to your gut, Revenant. Have faith. It’ll all work out.”

I leave the church feeling no lighter than I did before I stepped foot in there.

Sunny is still heavy on my mind, as are the Sinister Wolves and Amos Crowe.

Now is not the time for complications. I need my head in the game and yet every quiet moment my mind drifts to the dark haired beauty I left in my clubhouse room.

Pulling into the MC lot I park my bike, and shove the door open, stepping foot into the dim lightning of the common room and Sunny in the middle of it, surrounded by Mercy and my brothers, head tipped back in laughter. Then her gaze finds mine and she slays me where I stand.
