16. Chapter Sixteen
Chapter Sixteen
Revenant
I’m both exhausted and wired as I roll over, my arm reaching to find my woman.
My woman. Fucking hell. Never thought someone like Sunny would want someone like me.
I’m a bastard for keeping her. I should have sent her away, broken her heart, forced her out of the clubhouse, but seeing her at the center of the common room, laughing it up with my brothers, my family, had my gut screaming at me to keep her. So I will.
“Babe?” My hand searches the bed and finds Sunny’s side cold.
I wouldn’t blame her for hiding from me after the number of times I fucked her in the past 24 hours.
I couldn’t help myself. Once I stopped being a stubborn asshole and listened to my gut, all I wanted to do was be with Sunny.
Knowing Sunny. Touching Sunny. Making love to Sunny.
Me and her, holed up in my room, Sinister Wolves and Amos Crowe be damned.
There is just something about knowing her.
Her mind. Her body. The way she matches me thrust for thrust has my cock thickening and the need to sink deep inside her clawing at my chest.
I scrub a hand down my face, sitting up to see if she’s in the bathroom.
My room is silent, apart from my breathing and Sunny’s cowboy boots are missing from where she kicked them on the floor in our haste to get naked yesterday.
Shit. Rolling out of bed I grab some jeans, tugging them up but not bothering to button them, forgo a shirt and shove my feet in my boots.
She’s most likely downstairs causing trouble.
Stomping downstairs I ignore Mercy’s smirk on my way past her room, and I ignore the looks my brothers all give me as I pass them.
“Well, look who’s decided to come up for air,” Fog says, blowing out a huge fucking raspberry scented vape cloud.
I growl in his direction, but don’t stop stomping down the stairs headed for the common room.
“You better get gone, bitch. I told you, Revenant is mine,” Bubbles’ annoying as fuck voice drifts out of the kitchen.
“Oh really? It didn’t seem like that when he had his big cock inside me over, and over, and over-” Sunny’s voice gets more and more breathless, sounding exactly as she does when I bring her to her peak.
I shove through the kitchen door, needing to cut off those noises. Those sounds are for me, no one else.
“Revenant!” Bubbles screeches, bouncing toward me, her tits already half out of her top.
I ignore her as I side step her, scooping my woman in my arms and fusing my mouth to hers.
Hooking my hands in her armpits, I lift Sunny in the air, plop her lush ass on the countertop and step between her spread legs. It seems whenever I’m around, my girl’s legs spread immediately. And I got no problem with that.
Sunny tears her lips from mine, then gives my bottom lip a quick nip. “Well, good morning to you too,” she says breathlessly.
“Who the fuck said you could leave the bed?” I murmur in her ear. Now I’ve been claimed by her I can’t imagine not being near her at all times.
“Settle down, big boy.” She pats my chest to placate me. “We need sustenance if we’re gonna keep boning like we have been.”
“Boning?”
“Fucking sounds so…carnal. So wrong and yet, oh. So. Right.” She nips at my lips, jaw and Adam’s apple between her words to make her point.
“You’re going to be the death of me, Sassy.”
“You are forbidden to die until I’m done with you.” She smacks a kiss on my cheek, shoves me back and jumps off the counter. “Sit over there and eat the breakfast I made you.”
I do exactly as she says, taking a seat at the counter and grinning stupidly when she places a plate of eggs, bacon and toast in front of me.
She sits next to me, her breakfast a slightly smaller version of mine, and digs in.
She wiggles in her seat, moaning and groaning around her mouthful before doing a happy little dance and taking a swig of OJ.
“What’s wrong? How come you’re not eating?” Her wide brown eyes are full of concern when she notices I haven’t started my breakfast, as if what she’s made me isn't good enough.
“Too busy watching you being a cock tease.” I wink before loading up my fork and shovelling it in my mouth. A small smile plays on her lips as she nods, then watches me from the corner of her eye until I finish the whole damn thing.
“Rev, gonna need ya to come commend the Wolves to judgement,” Hush says loudly, pushing into the kitchen. He hesitates for a moment when his eyes land on Sunny.
I stiffen in my seat, the food in my mouth turning to ash as my gut drops.
My girl thinks she knows what the MC is about.
In some ways she may have some inkling, but there is a big fucking difference between having an inkling I do bad shit, and knowing that I’ll go read out someone Hush has systematically tortured.
Sunny turns in her chair until she’s facing Hush. “Hey Hush,” she speaks loudly and clearly, so the brother can understand her.
“Oh, ah, hey Sunny,” Hush replies, holding his blood-stained hands behind his back.
Sunny’s gaze narrows on Hush, then darts to me before she rolls her eyes.
“Go pray them through the dark, babe. Even though I wouldn’t bother.
Those guys deserve whatever Hush did to them, thinking they could come into Winlaw and take over.
” She spins in her seat, shaking her head before taking a bite of bacon and checking her phone.
“Um, how does she know what we do?” Hush asks.
Sunny spins again, so he can read her lips, “She isn’t an idiot.
She’s been here for like, a week now.” She rolls her eyes at Hush.
“You're the enforcer so you do the killin’. Coyote is SAA so he does some killin’ and guns.
Revenant is the chaplain so he makes sure everyone is all good and gives last words to those who aren't. Cedar plots the runs as road cap, Brake and Ledger are Secretary and Treasurer and Gallows and Mercy are basically the main guy and second main guy. Jubilee, Sleet, Hollow and Fog are just normal biker dudes and the prospects get the crappy jobs. Easy.” With that she spins on her stool again and goes back to doing what she was doing.
“Well, alright then.” Hush throws me a look before he takes off and leaves me sitting next to my woman.
“Don’t think too deep into it, Elias,” she murmurs, eyes on her screen.
“What do you mean?”
“I know Saint’s Outlaws do bad stuff. It’s in the name. But you’re good guys at the heart of it. If that means that you have to kill people to protect our town and loved ones, then so be it.”
“You really don’t have a problem with us, do you?” I search her gaze, finding nothing but warmth.
“I love you. Which means I love and accept all aspects of your life.”
My breath freezes in my lungs, heart almost beating out of my chest. Yes she’s claimed me, yes I call her my woman in my head, but the way the words “I love you” spilled from her lips with such ease steals my breath from me.
“Don’t get me wrong, there are some aspects I’m not too happy with, but it is what it is.” she continues as if she didn’t almost give me a heart attack.
My brows pull together. “What do you mean by some aspects?”
“I hate Bubbles and I won’t hesitate to put that bitch in her place.
The other bunnies, I love. They’ve been teaching me some moves.
Oh, now is also the time I let you know that I will not tolerate cheating.
” She points her knife at me, the blade dripping with runny egg yolk.
“You step out on me and I will cut your cock off and feed it to you.” She shrugs.
“Other than that I love everything about you.”
“You are the strangest woman I’ve ever met.”
“Fun, isn't it?”
“Yeah baby.” I press a kiss to her lips. “I love you, too.”
She lets out a gasp, her cutlery crashing to her plate with a clatter and looks up at me, eyes glistening. “You said it back,” she whispers.
“Always,” I whisper back.
She beams at me, “Awwww. Now go read the last rites or whatever it is you do then come back and fuck me.”
Perfection.
Sunny
I watch my man as he leaves, shoulders tense, walking like a man about to condemn another.
I meant what I said, that I love him for who he is now.
I don’t need him to be anything other than what he is.
A survivor. A protector. A super fucking badass man of God MC brother who sometimes has to do bad shit.
I hum as I clear up our breakfast dishes, wondering where Brake is and if Mercy wants to fuck with him a little.
“Sunny,” Gallows nods as he wanders into the kitchen. “I see you’ve been behaving.”
“I have, haven't I?” I beam at him.
He grunts, helping himself to coffee. He leans against the bench, long legs stretched out, right boot crossed over his left. His eyes narrow a little as he holds my gaze, taking a swig of his coffee.
“I wasn’t sure about you,” he starts.
“Oh?” I ask innocently.
He sucks air through his teeth, “I can recognize a pain in the ass when I see one. You have too much fucking spirit in you. And no ears.” He lets out a long sigh.
“But, clearly, those are things that my brother needed. Needs.” He straightens, moving past me, coffee mug in hand. “You’re good for him.”
I hold in my squeal until Gallows is through the door and then do a happy dance before pulling the door open and yelling, “Does this mean we’re besties?”
“Fuck’s sake.” he growls and I let out a snort, then a giggle.
I head back to the dishwasher, jabbing at the buttons, a grin plastered on my face. With that glowing report there is no way he’ll deny me Revenant’s cut.
The door bangs against the wall jolting me out of my happy thoughts, replacing them with murderous thoughts as Bubbles stands in the doorway, arms crossed over her chest.
“Jubilee said you gotta move your piece of shit moped.” She gives me the stink eye and I grin at my handiwork. The black eye I gave her is now a pretty yellow green and her nose is definitely crooked.
“Stop smiling at me, bitch.”
“Stop being a bitch and accept you lost, bitch,” I spit at her as I shoulder her out of my way.
If Jubilee needs me to move my moped, I will. I bet he used much nicer language than Bubbles did, too. Although she can’t help she’s a gross hose beast. Swinging open the heavy clubhouse door I step outside and look around for my shiny baby blue ride.
“Yo, Sunny!” Hollow yells out, “You looking for trouble?”
“Nah, gotta move my ride for Jubilee,” I call back, before flipping him two birds with a grin. He shakes his head, returning the gesture before heading into the clubhouse.
“Hurry up,” Bubbles snarls, stomping ahead of me in her ridiculous high heels.
They may look ridiculous, but I am a little jealous that she can walk so well in them.
Her hips sway her flat ass from side to side and I follow behind, knowing that my hip sway is a lot more impressive.
Bubbles waves her hand in the direction of a small garage at the side of the compound, and if she thinks I’m walking in there ahead of her, she’s got another thing coming.
I’m not an idiot. The woman hates me. She’s bound to lock me in there and throw away the key.
“Lead the way, Bubbles.”
She frowns. “It’s your piece of shit. I don’t want to go in there.”
“Well,” I say, “looks like neither of us are going in there.”
“But Jubilee said -”
“How about I get the keys and you give them to him to move her?”
“Ugh, fine!” Bubbles yells at me. “Why are you such a bitch?”
“Same reason you’re such a whore. Just born this way I guess.” My gaze follows her as she stomps into the garage.
I wait a beat. No screaming. No swearing. No sweet sounds of Bubbles being murdered. Disappointing, but good enough for me. I step over the threshold looking for that bimbo. Big mistake. A rough hand wraps around my mouth the same time a heavy arm crosses my chest.
Bubbles grins as I kick and struggle, giving me a little finger wave as I get pulled further into the garage before being dumped into the trunk of a car.
It slams shut and I let out a scream of frustration that I’ve been hoodwinked by that idiot Bubbles.
If that bitch and whoever is helping her thinks they can kidnap me and dump me somewhere without a fight, they have another thing coming.
The car dips slightly, to the left, then the right before two doors slam.
Great, two people I’ll need to maim, if not murder.
Taking a deep breath I let my hand fall to my side, feeling my way into my left boot for the knife I keep there.
Thank God my dad is the type of guy who likes to drill his kids on personal safety.
I guess when you’ve been overseas and seen what he’s seen, it all makes sense.
Music starts blaring from the inside of the car and I’m immediately offended.
There is no way they’re kidnapping me to Life is a Highway.
No. Fucking. Way. The engine revs before slowly moving off.
I know it’ll have to go through the gates and past one of the prospects, so I keep my mouth shut until the car idles and faint voices filter through.
I kick and scream, doing my best to make as much noise as possible, but I know I’m no match for Rascal Flats when the car starts to move again.
When I get out of here I’m going on the warpath.
Buckle up, bitches.
