9. Chapter 8

~ Mason ~

The following morning, I woke up the latest I ever had. The sun was streaming through my windows and I groaned. Because I couldn’t recall the last time, I was that out of it. In fact, it felt like I had all the business of a hangover but no drinking.

Well, maybe not quite true.

However, she firmly did put me in a hangover, and honestly, I was here for it. Because there had never been a time I had sex quite like that.

And I was almost sure I never would again, not without this woman in my life. Because she was just everything I could want.

She was bold, dirty, and loved trying new things.

She went after what she wanted, and that was something I hadn’t seen in ages. In fact, I don’t even recall my wife being like her. And that’s saying something.

Which also had me frowning slightly because now I was comparing them when they were both different in so many ways, but yet the same.

“You’re thinking too loudly,” she grumbled and I laughed, wrapping my arm around her even tighter.

“How in the world are my thoughts loud?”

“I don’t know, but it’s evident because I can hear the wheels turning up there. Everything okay?” she asked, opening her eyes to look up at me.

“Yeah, just thinking, like you said. You’re the first woman I’ve had to turn my world inside out; do you know that?”

“No. But then again, I’m a breed like no other. Lots of people think I’m too crazy and men think I’m too outspoken in the bedroom, so few have complained. But then there are others that push too much and annoy me.”

I frowned at that, not sure where that was coming from, but I didn’t get a chance to ask because she shifted, the sheet fell off her body, and I had to move or I was touching her again. And after all the rounds we did last night, we couldn’t. We needed a break, even if she didn’t want to admit it.

Hell, I didn’t want to, but my body was waving the white flag for the moment.

Although, my cock would gladly jump up to say hi.

I had to shake that off, willing him back down.

Because I had no doubt, she’d be willing to go and we couldn’t do that.

“You’re thinking again,” she complained, making me laugh. And hell, when was the last time I laughed so much in bed?

Never.

“I’m only thinking about you and how much I want you, but how much we need a little break.”

She squinted at me before glancing outside, and her eyes widened. “Shit, the sun is pretty low in the sky, what time is it?”

I peeked over at the clock, surprised to see that it was after one-thirty. She gasped, her hands covering her face.

“I guess we really did wear ourselves out, huh?”

“I lost track of how many rounds we did, Patty,” I told her, slapping her butt, “but it was all fun. Want to take a shower and go grab a bite at the bar?”

“A solo shower isn’t as much fun.”

“True,” I told her, whispering in her ear. “But good girls who behave get fucked really good later tonight.”

“I’m jumping in, stay put, sir.”

I laughed yet again as she jumped out of the bed and made a beeline for the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.

I hadn’t known sex to be this fun, but with her, it was everything wrapped up in a pretty little Patty bow and I was here for all the unwrapping pleasure.

I groaned, thinking about that and had to fist my dick just to put him down again.

“No,” I muttered, wondering if she would be the death of me. But then again, death by Patty’s pussy was a hell of a way to go.

~ Patty ~

He said he wanted to go to the bar, and I was all for it. After showers, we needed food and drinks, and I was game.

Especially if we were planning another full night. Because damn, that man’s stamina was insane, and I wanted more. In fact, I wasn’t sure I would ever really get enough, and that was kind of scary. Because I didn’t know where this was going.

I wasn’t up for sharing, wasn’t up for a relationship. I was fine with a friends with benefits thing because my life was super busy with the diner anyway.

“Now who is thinking too loud,” he told me, bumping my shoulder as we sat on the stools, having a burger and sharing some fries.

“I’m not thinking. I’m enjoying my food while making sure to savor the strength needed for the night.”

He grinned as he grabbed a fry and popped it in his mouth.

“Want to start with a dance?” he teased, wiggling his brows and I slapped his arm, making us both laugh. I knew what would happen when we got on the dance floor and I was not ready, not yet at least.

“Hey Mason,” Blondie, Barbie, Brenda, the Bitch said, resting her hand on his arm. “Care to take a girl around the floor a time or two? We could have some fun.”

I peeked around the man, resting my arm on the bar as I stared at her.

“Hey, excuse me, he’s spoken for,” I told her, shooing her along.

“Mason isn’t claimed by anyone, trust me. He’s spun me around a time or two because he doesn’t believe in relationships. So, why don’t you move along,” she told me and even though I knew what she was saying was true, I saw red anyway.

“Listen here, Blondie, Brenda, Barbie, whatever the fuck your name is,” I said, standing up and placing myself between Mason and her.

“I said he’s spoken for and he is. There will be no more bed rolling or two stepping with him, do I make myself clear?

I’m not done with him yet, if I ever will be.

So, run along and tell all the other skanks as well, Mason Jones is mine, and I don’t share really well. ”

I crossed my arms, giving her a stern look, which had her taking a step or two back before she ran to the other group of blonde bimbos.

Sure, mountain men were lonely, and I knew those young girls just saw easy lays or something, but come on, get a clue.

I heard the stool push out from behind me and then I felt his chest against my back, his hand on my hip.

“That was insanely hot,” he breathed against my ear and I shivered. “No one has ever stood up for me. Care to dance, woman.”

“Our food will get cold.”

“Screw the food. I’ll get more later. Right now, I want to show you off,” he growled, making me giggle as he dragged me on the floor, his arms tight around me. He spun me around, right in front of the group of ladies, and I couldn’t help but toss them a smug look.

I was right though, I didn’t share.

And I was far from done with Mason.

There were still a lot more things I wanted to do with him, to try with him. And if I was being honest with myself, I didn’t ever see myself being done with him.

But though I felt that his feelings were far from different, especially if there was any type of ghost lingering.

I didn’t want to replace her, even if I did go that far with him, but I wasn’t sure he saw that.

Not that I wanted to think about that, because I didn’t. I needed to enjoy what we had for the moment, and I was.

I was going to soak up everything, then I planned on soaking him multiple times throughout the night.
