Chapter 52 #3

His lips traveled languidly over the curve of her rear, fingers rising to brush against her core, before slipping over that bundle of nerves at the apex of her thighs. Stroking her in slow, taunting circles. “Gods,” she whimpered, arching her back and pushing deeper into his touch.

“Make them jealous, Princess,” he whispered against her skin, circling her entrance before he thrust a finger inside her, pumping it slowly.

Pushing her tunic up with his other hand, eyes fixed on the pleasure he wrung from her—she could feel the heat of that stare burning into her skin.

“I can’t wait to hear my name cried from your lips. ”

“Yes,” Mora moaned, gripping the blankets tighter.

Sighing breathily when he added a second digit, stroking a perfect spot.

Her back arched, a mewl she hardly recognized as her own curling through the tent.

Her heart racing, breath coming in sharp pants—Mora wanted more.

The taut bud he’d abandoned aching for attention.

A pressure building within her she needed him to soothe.

When he pulled away, she nearly cried out, but his tongue swept through her wetness so swiftly it turned into a pleasured moan.

Her hips moved of their own accord, grinding against his face.

Chasing the ecstasy he offered. Slick fingers wet with her own arousal slipped over her skin, sinking into the flesh of her thighs and angling her exactly how Eris wanted her.

Hot lips closing around her center, Eris’s tongue working her into a frenzy.

“Fuck, Eris. Holy gods!” she screamed, writhing in his grip. Crying out and whimpering so loudly there was no doubt the entire camp heard.

The pressure that had been building began to unravel, enveloping her entire body.

Mora thought she may drown in it. Would happily soak in the feeling.

Reaching back, she grabbed his hair and pulled him closer, squirming when he sucked on her pleasure, the constant swirl of his tongue wracking her body in delicious tremors.

The tension within her rose like a wave, crashing over her and pulling her under.

She wasn’t sure if she called out to the Gods.

If she said any coherent words at all. All Mora knew was the press of the blankets on her cheek, the shudder in each panted breath.

The feel of Eris’s smile growing on her flesh.

He pulled away, taking his warmth with him as he left the bed, cool air licking her throbbing sex.

Was it odd she felt victorious?

Eris crawled back toward her, his knee pressing between her thighs and pushing her legs further apart.

“Did you hear that?” he asked, kissing up her spine, each press of those lips searing her skin through her tunic.

“What?” Mora asked, her voice breathy.

Eris leaned over her, pressing a kiss to her shoulder as he whispered, “You prayed to the Gods and they listened.”

Mora chuckled softly. “I hope you’re not done with your worship?”

“Of course not,” he said, fisting his cock and pumping it twice before he guided himself to her, his crown circling her opening.

Gathering her wetness. There was a soft barrier there, hardly noticeable, but it surprised her—he’d thought to get protection.

Something Mora hadn’t considered at all...

Any worry of pregnancy or disease died when she’d been cursed.

She was grateful, however, that he cared enough to protect them. “It’s time you pray to me.”

Eris worked himself into her, his cock sinking deep, guided by the arousal dripping down her thighs.

“Eris,” she whined, the ache in her center pulsing once more. She met every thrust, claiming him as surely as he claimed her. Moaning louder with each slap of his skin against hers. The names of too many Gods spilling from her lips.

Mora smiled wide.

She was free.

This was hers.

Then, Eris ran his hand up her back and gathered her curls in his fist, tugging so she was forced to look over her shoulder into half-lidded eyes.

Mora stilled, breath stalling as the air became stale, citrus invading her senses until she choked. It was azure staring down at her. Azure glinting with pleasure. Azure burning into her memory while one voice haunted her mind.

Say my name.

“Cillian, please!” Mora cried, tears burning in her eyes.

Eris’s movement faltered. “What?”

“Stop,” she begged. “Stop. Please.”

Eris pulled away and Mora collapsed, hugging herself and sobbing so hard she could hardly breathe. Flinching when he laid his hand on her back. She knew Eris spoke, but Mora couldn’t hear him. Not over the thunder pulsing in her chest or the specters of pain throbbing in her head.

The only sound she could focus on was her own voice and the words she muttered over and over like a prayer. “He’s dead, he’s dead, he’s dead.”

The words tumbled from her lips, splashing onto the rumpled furs with her tears to stain the fabrics. Unwanted by any Gods. They had no interest in her prayers and held no envy for Eris’s worship. And Dother would never allow her solace, just as he’d promised.
