Chapter 32 #2

She has to fucking pay.

Vega gripped the gun Cabo provided in his right hand while the fingers on his left clenched tightly into a fist. Moving inside the dark, quiet room, the only sounds that could be heard were the labored breaths Vega released as he moved closer to his target.

Leaning over the bed, Vega lifted his gun and pressed it directly into Asako’s forehead until the tip of the silencer dug so deeply into her skin that her eyes shot open.

The fear behind them elicited a deadly smile from Vega.

“This has been a long time coming.”

Asako’s body shivered, trembling with fear at the same time. She couldn’t speak. There were no words. Her worst nightmare had finally come true and he was standing over her with a gun to her head and hate in his eyes.

“You look good, Blaze. Better than you did the last time I saw you.” Vega smirked and shook his head. “You were high as shit back then. You remember that? I know it’s been a minute, a little over three years to be exact, but I’m sure you remember.”

Asako swallowed hard, releasing her building tears before she opened her mouth. “Please…” It came out so weak and low that Vega leaned in closer.

“What was that? Sounded like you were begging already. The only reason you would feel the need to beg is if you knew you did some fucked up shit that I was here to make you pay for.”

“I…please just let me explain. I didn’t have a choice. He…my brother…please.” Asako’s voice was choppy just like her words. She was going to die; she was sure of it and deep down inside she felt like she deserved her fate.

Vega gritted his teeth at the same time his free hand firmly wrapped around her thin neck, squeezing tightly as he yanked her from the bed and threw her against the nearest wall, never losing his hold. The more he looked at Asako’s face, the tighter he squeezed.

“Three fucking years. You cost me three gotdamn years in a box and for what? Behind a dirty cop? One you must be fucking because you’re here, under his roof, in one of his beds.

” Vega’s words were low, angry, and full of venom.

Asako couldn’t speak. The vise grip of his hand around her neck barely allowed her to breathe and that didn’t let up until Vega let her go, returning the gun to her head.

This time it was placed at her temple while she gasped for air.

“Tell me why the fuck you played me, Blaze.”

“He…he…made me. If I didn’t…” Asako paused and looked up at Vega with tear-filled eyes and a fear so pure that her body was still trembling from the reality.

“I didn’t want my brother to go to prison because of me.

You weren’t supposed to go to jail. That’s not how it worked.

I promise I didn’t know he was going to send you to jail. ”

Her words only made things worse and Vega’s hand wrapped around her neck again. “How what worked? You were really on some stick-up shit with a gotdamn cop while you were fucking dealers and getting high off their shit? My shit?”

“That’s why I did it. I got myself in a bad situation and he used me because of it.

My brother almost killed a man to save me and Patterson was there.

He found out what happened and…” Asako broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.

Vega stared at her, battling the rage he felt while trying to convince himself that he could actually take her life. A woman’s life.

Movement behind Vega put everything on hold. When his eyes landed on Patterson, who East shoved in the room first then to the floor, Vega released Asako, taking a step back.

“The fuck you do to him?” Vega narrowed his eyes at the wide gash next to Patterson’s eye. Blood was flowing from it while Patterson appeared to be dazed from the blow.

“Just a friendly wake up call.” East smirked before he focused on Asako who was watching him intently. He could feel the fear before he even looked her way.

“What you gonna do, bruh?” East looked to his right at Vega before his eyes landed on Asako again. “We need to be moving soon.”

Vega nodded and lifted his gun once more, aiming at Asako whose heart began to race again. Her time was ending. She could feel it but even facing death she wanted to be sure her family was okay.

“Please, there’s a gun. I know you’re gonna kill me, but if anyone finds it, my brother is going to prison.

He has it. Can you please just promise me that you won’t let him keep it?

It’s in a safe in his room. I deserve whatever I get, and for what it’s worth, I really didn’t know he was going to lock you up.

But my family, they didn’t have anything to do with this.

I don’t want my brother to go to prison for trying to help me.

” Asako sobbed louder, trying her best to control what little composure she had left.

She didn’t want to die, but even more than not wanting to take her last breath, she didn’t want her parents to suffer twice.

Losing her then her brother going to prison would be too much for them.

“The fuck you talking about?” Vega growled at Asako, annoyed by all the crying and begging. She damn sure wasn’t doing all that when she was sitting on his dick to set him up.

“The bitch is lying,” Patterson mumbled, causing Asako to ignore the gun aimed at her head and rush past Vega, kicking Patterson in the back of the head until he stumbled over and she had enough leverage to stomp the side of his face.

“You lying son of a bitch! They’re here to kill both of us and you’re still lying! This is all your fucking fault!”’

“Hold up, shorty, calm your ass down.” East snatched Asako’s arm so aggressively that she felt pain as if he had dislocated it from her shoulder. Her chest heaved and the tears were still flowing but not just from the fear of dying. She was angry.

“He has a gun that could send my brother to prison. I don’t care if I die but he better die too.

Just please don’t leave that gun here for anyone else to find.

Kill me if you want I don’t give a fuck anymore.

I’m tired. I’m so gotdamn tired. Just don’t let this asshole have any more power over my family. Even after he’s dead.”

East and Vega shared a look before Vega grabbed Asako and East yanked Patterson from the floor. His staggered stance due to the loss of blood only aggravated East more.

“What you wanna do?” East glared at Vega, annoyed and waiting.

Vega had his flaws but one line he knew he couldn’t cross was taking the life of a woman.

The more he stared at Asako, the more he realized it wasn’t happening.

His conscience wouldn’t allow him to do it and Vega didn’t want that on his heart.

He also knew he wasn’t about to let her walk away without a guarantee that she would never be an issue for him or anyone else ever again.

“You trust that lawyer?” Vega questioned, causing East to frown at him.

“I don’t know shit about him to trust him, but I trust Cabo, why?”

“Good enough. She gets a walk, but not before she gets a body. Let’s go find that gun.”

East wasn’t feeling the idea, but the clock was running.

As long as Patterson ended up with one in the dome, he didn’t give a fuck what happened to Asako.

That was Vega’s problem to figure out. The only thing East could guarantee in that moment was when he left that house, Patterson would no longer be breathing.

By the time East had showered and slipped into bed with Joi, the sun was coming up.

She snuggled up close to him, hiking her leg up his thighs to his waist, allowing him to feel the warmth that radiated from between her legs.

As much as he wanted to take advantage of the moment, he was exhausted, and his mind was still moving a mile a minute from the past few hours.

“You left me last night,” Joi mumbled, moving her hands across East’s chest while she rested her head on his shoulder.

“Business.” East’s hand glided up her thigh to her waist while he prayed that no questions followed. His mind drifted to what happened prior to his return.

Nothing had gone as planned but the end result was that Patterson and Asako were no longer an issue.

Vega had possession of her fate by way of a gun that not only could put her brother in prison, but she would be sharing a cell not far from him in the event that she didn’t accept the terms handed down to her.

The bullet that ended Patterson came from her family’s gun and she was the one who pulled the trigger.

Granted she only followed through because of the gun pressed to her head, but the deed was done.

Asako had a body on her, which meant she put up no arguments about accepting the one-way ticket Pavia handed over at Vega’s request. Asako killed a cop so East was more than positive none of them would see her again.

He wanted to be the one to pull the trigger, but Vega needed Asako to be the one with the body.

So East chose to disfigure Patterson’s face first to release his frustrations.

The memory had him lifting his hand from Joi’s thigh and flexing his bruised fingers.

“Business?” Joi questioned in a mumbled tone, angling her head back enough to take in East’s expression. The room was glowing from the rising sun, so she surveyed his relaxed expression, eyes closed, face showing no signs of tension. However, a smile surfaced when he felt her eyes on him.

“Yeah, business, now can I get a few hours of sleep before I have to go be social?”

Joi grinned harder than East, lifting slightly, enough to climb on top of him. She sat up straight and eased her hand down his chest until it reached the hard, solid mass beneath her. Her fingers wrapped around it firmly while she watched East’s face tense.

“Shawty…” East barely got out, torn between the fact that he really wanted to be asleep and the fact that he really needed to feel Joi. Not to mention the sexiness in her aggression already had his dick hard. He could smell her arousal, which damn sure wasn’t helping. I know she’s already drenched.

“I was thinking we could do something else until it was time for you to go be social.”

East groaned helplessly under his breath but didn’t move a muscle.

He simply watched Joi lift just enough to free him from his shorts and briefs with one hand while she used the other to maneuver her thong to the side, easing down on him.

The slow descent was torture to them both.

East wanted to be completely inside of Joi, while she needed time for her body to accept him.

Impatience got the best of East and seconds later his fingers were digging into her waist, moving Joi a little faster, needing to be submerged deeper into his favorite place.

“So this how we’re doing it now?” East’s heavy eyes moved from their connection at the waist to her face, while using his hands as steady guides to continue what she started.

“Mmmhmm.” Joi’s eyes were closed as she attempted to find balance between recognizing him and the dull pain she felt from the intrusion. It was a perfect blend of… everything good. “You left me and I missed you.” Joi circled her hips a little more to get her point across.

“Fuck. I didn’t leave you. I left here to go…shit.”

Joi was now using muscles to assist her in a nice steady pace that had East stumbling over his words. “Shawty…hold up, damn.”

“You left me and this. Same difference.” Joi’s face eased into a seductive smile when she really began to put in work.

East watched her move, barely able to keep his heavy lids apart from the exhaustion that had settled in.

However, the visual of her body bouncing and winding above him supplied just the right amount of motivation.

East had fully intended to let Joi do her thing but the need to feel more had him thrusting upward while she rode him harder and faster.

His dick swelled a little more at the sight of Joi’s hands caressing and pinching her breasts and hardened nipples.

“Shit,” slipped from his lips when he felt his stomach tightening from the brewing climax inches away.

Not wanting to be the first to let go, East worked harder, slamming deeper into Joi’s core until he was sure that she was seconds from cumming, giving him permission to do the same.

That didn’t, however, stop either of them from riding it out.

East with stabbing erratic thrusts while Joi bucked on top of him, body pulsating through a wave of sensations she was sure would be the death of them both.

When her body finally gave out on her, Joi’s chest heaved while her palms pressed firmly against East’s abs, attempting to calm herself.

“You feel better now?” East’s hands moved from Joi’s waist to her back, slowly moving up her back then down to her waist again. He loved the feel of her skin under his fingers but to see her trembling from the motion had a smile on his face.

“No.” The breathy tone and smile that followed had East laughing.

“Then you’re just shit out of luck. I don’t have a damn thing left in me right now.” He laughed at himself then pulled Joi to him. She lifted enough for East’s heaviness to ease out, causing Joi’s body to shudder slightly before snuggling up against his side.

“Then you owe me,” she mumbled, inching closer like she wasn’t already damn near on top of him again.

“You keeping score?” East’s eyes were already closed. Any other time the first move after a good nut would have been to shower but right now all he wanted was sleep.

“Yep.”

He chuckled, nodding once in a lazy manner. “Aight shawty, you got that. Just remember you asked for it.”

“Mmmhmm.” Joi and East were both seconds from fading out, neither of them put much energy behind their words, but this time East was thinking about keeping score.

Joi had one up on him, and he fully planned on leveling the playing field later, but for now, sleep had them both down for the count, with no fight from either of them.
