Chapter 35
“Give me that. You’re here with us enjoying a girls’ night.
You can drool over East later.” Ria snatched Joi’s phone from her hands, but she grabbed it right back, going to his last post and leaving heart eyes under it.
The image was a selfie of Kelsey propped up in East’s lap, smiling from ear to ear but the angle she used cut his face off , only exposing him from the chin down.
Joi was familiar enough with his body that the exposed chest had her smiling.
“That man has you wide open.”
“And?” Joi wasn’t ashamed of her addiction to East, especially since the feelings were reciprocated. Things with East felt right and Joi didn’t mind being wide open.
“And you better slow down. Once the high wears off, it’s just another relationship. I see how women look at East. You better be careful.” Ria lifted her drink and placed it to her lips.
“Maybe that’s your life but don’t try to dim her light because you can’t get your shit together or keep a man under fifty interested in you.” Nyelle rolled her eyes at Ria, sensing she was a little salty because her current situation wasn’t working out.
“That’s not what I’m doing. I’m just saying, it all starts off like that then it gets routine. I have no problems keeping any man interested, trust.”
Joi and Nyelle shared a look but neither of them expressed their thoughts out loud.
“You talked to Dix lately?” Joi questioned, knowing she hadn’t, causing Ria to suck her teeth.
“No, but I haven’t tried. I can’t take an insecure man.”
“Girl, did you really just call that man insecure? Dix is anything but. He’s a man who isn’t trying to be side dick because you’re too simple to get rid of your sugar daddy.
” Nyelle had heard enough bits and pieces of conversations between Vega and Dix to know he cut her off because she was still fucking with Lue.
Joi clamped her mouth shut and decided to stay out of it. She knew it was true but that was Ria’s fight. Not hers. She had already spoken her piece on Ria’s situation with both men.
“What you’re not going to do is act like you know anything about my personal business.”
“Nah boo, what you’re not gonna do is try to act like Dix is the problem.
I might not know him that well, but Vega does.
And the few times I’ve been around him, he made it clear that you’re only interested in him as far as his dick is concerned, but the minute your sponsor snaps his fingers, your ass jumps in line. ”
“Y’all, come on. We’re supposed to be chilling.” Joi tried her best to defuse the situation, but it didn’t do any good and she couldn’t control her amusement.
“No, fuck that. My life is not your concern. I knew your fraud ass never liked me anyway. I told you she was fake, Joi.”
“Hold up.” Joi sat up quickly. “You’re not about to call her fake because she’s calling you on your shit.
When you dipped on me, she was there. She’s been here, and in fact, nothing she said to you is a lie.
You do jump in line when Lue calls, yet and still you’re creeping around with Dix. Shit, I would have cut you off too.”
“Wow, I see what it is.”
“Good, it’s about time.” Nyelle looked Ria right in her eyes. The two women had a stare down before Ria grabbed her purse and placed her drink on the bar.
“I guess I’m not welcome so I’m gonna go. Y’all keep your little bond going without me.”
“If you can’t be real about your shit, then no, you’re not.
Neither of us really care what you do with your life, as long as you’re real with it, but don’t try to downplay my situation because you’re on some bullshit with yours.
Nobody’s judging you. If you like it, we love it.
Your problem is you can’t be honest. You want Lue’s money and dick from the next man.
Just admit that and keep it pushing, but you can’t, so.
..” Joi stated, unbothered. She didn’t need Ria in her life, but she attempted to give her a chance.
Apparently Ria didn’t really want the opportunity and Joi wasn’t about to kiss anyone’s ass.
“Whatever,” Ria mumbled, walking away with her head held high. She didn’t owe anyone anything, so she wasn’t about to act like she did.
“Did I not tell you that wouldn’t work?” Nyelle rolled her eyes and shook her head at the thought of Ria.
“I was trying to be nice.”
“Girl, you can’t be nice to stupid people. Stupid people aren’t smart enough to recognize what nice is.”
Joi laughed, almost spitting her drink on Nyelle. “Ny, stop.”
“No, you stop acting like she didn’t piss you off.”
“She really didn’t. Anybody can say what they want about East. I know what we are. Hell, I trust what I have with him better than I ever did with anyone else.”
“Like him.” Nyelle pointed to the door where Reg was entering Presidential.
It had been months since Joi had seen him and she didn’t miss him at all.
Riggs walked in behind Reg, smiling and looking around for a victim like the pretty boy he was.
When he noticed Joi, he offered a nod and nudged Reg, who only glared in their direction and walked off.
Joi laughed and rolled her eyes, but Riggs came over and joined them.
“What’s up, Nyelle. You’re looking good.”
“And I would look even better without you in my face.” She rolled her eyes at him, but Riggs only laughed.
“You good, Joi? I see you all glowed up since you left my boy. He hasn’t been right since.”
“Don’t mention him to me, and yes, I’m great without him.”
Riggs smirked and raked his hand down his face. “Don’t be too hard on him. Karma is kicking his ass. I kept telling him to do right. Your new man fucked Reg’s life up, so trust me, you’re a lot better off than he is.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Joi frowned at Riggs.
“It means Reg fucked with the wrong one but that’s on him. He’s living but he isn’t living good. That’s all I’ma say.”
Riggs left and Nyelle peered at Joi. “What do you know about that?”
“Nothing and I don’t care. Whatever happened is on him.” Joi was glad Reg was suffering. It was his fault.
“Damn that’s cold but I can’t say I blame you. Reg wasn’t shit. Maybe I’ll get East on Reese’s dumb ass too.”
“Ny, stop. Leave that man alone. You already got him moping around like a lost puppy.”
“Girl bye, he deserves what he gets too. That’s good for him. Him and that crazy ass woman he’s with. She’s putting him through it and I’m glad. He thought I was giving him hell? Michelle is a whole ass nightmare.”
Nyelle smiled. Every time Reese was around her, he complained about his relationship with Michelle.
Apparently she was only good at spending his money and leaving him to care for their daughter and Reese let her.
Much like Nyelle, Michelle knew things about Reese that she threatened to use against him.
Nyelle never would hurt him that way, no matter how wrong he had done her, because she knew Nick would be the one who felt it most. According to Reese, Michelle was very different and didn’t care, but that was his issue, not hers.
Nyelle wasn’t sure why he felt the need to vent about this to her but the few times he had been around to pick up or drop their son off that had been his routine.
Nyelle simply nodded and grinned, then sent Reese on his way.
She was happy and had no fucks to give about his miserable new life. Karma definitely was a bitch.
“Well, now that it’s just us, let’s get these shots out the way and hit the dance floor. Since my man has me so wide open, I guess I’ll enjoy the moment until I can go home and let him fill me up.”
“This hoe.” Nyelle smirked at Joi who only smiled back before signaling for the bartender.
Nick was with his father, something Reese had been doing much better with, but only because it gave him the opportunity to see her more.
So both women were about to enjoy their night then head home to the real reasons for their recent happiness, Vega and East. When life was good, it was good, and they both learned to enjoy every minute of it.
A huge smile spread across Joi’s face when the door to her apartment opened and she laid eyes on East standing shirtless, holding the door while he peered at her with a slight scowl on his face.
Joi looked down at her keys and laughed because of the buzz still present from one of many shots she consumed with Nyelle before the two left the club in an Uber Black.
“I tried but I couldn’t get it. Maybe you changed these locks too.” Joi lifted one shoulder as she leaned over to lift her shoes which she had placed in front of her door while she was struggling with her keys in an attempt to unlock it.
The second she was upright again, East’s arm circled her waist, pulling her inside and out of the way while he used his free hand to shut and lock the door after pinning Joi against it.
Her shoes, clutch, and keys hit the floor around the same time her back met the door.
East pressed his palms against the door just above Joi’s shoulders.
His stare was intense and had Joi’s pulse racing.
“You’re drunk.”
“I’m…”
The smile that surfaced had Joi relaxing. “You’re tipsy as fuck but it’s cute.”
“You’re cute.” Joi’s low eyes dipped from East’s handsome face to his neck before lingering on his exposed chest. “And sexy. Very sexy.”
East chuckled, amused by how relaxed the alcohol had Joi. He also had plans to take full advantage of it. “Come on. I don’t know what fuck ass me you’ve been dancing on so we’re about to wash that club off you.”
Frowning at the thought, Joi poked her lips into a slight pout. “I only danced with Nyelle. Ria left. She was being a bitch.”
“Word, why is that?”
East was now guiding Joi by the waist through her tiny studio apartment toward the bathroom.
“Because she got mad that I was looking at your pictures online and said you were gonna get bored with me. I told her to kiss my ass.” Joi turned to face East after they entered her bathroom and he chuckled at the hard look she gave.
“You told her to kiss your ass?” he questioned, not seeing Joi as the type. She was too laid back most of the time.
“Well I didn’t say exactly that, but I told her she needed to own her shit and stop worrying about mine.”
East unzipped the dress she wore and pushed it off her shoulders, watching it fall to the floor, leaving only black lace panties in place. When Joi turned to face him again, she had a frown etched on her face. “You’re not going to get tired of me, are you?”
Hell nah, especially not with this damn body.
“No, take those off.”
“You might?” Joi pushed her panties down her body while East tested the shower water and removed the sleep pants that covered his lower half. Reaching for Joi, he guided them both inside, walking her under the steamy spray, angling her head back enough for him to reach her lips.
“I won’t, fuck Ria and what she thinks.”
A goofy smile eased onto Joi’s face but disappeared when East’s mouth covered hers. His hand eased into her hair, cuffing the back of her head and Joi got lost in him like always. She wasn’t even concerned about the fact that her silk press was being ruined.
By the time the two washed and were on her bed, East had his head between Joi’s thighs, his arms positioned under her thighs so his hands held firmly to her sides to keep her just where he wanted her.
With every swipe of his tongue, Joi sobered from the alcohol and became high off East. The way he handled her body was blissful, heavenly, erotic, and sinful.
She loved every minute of it while East took pleasure in sending Joi over the edge.
While she plummeted from the high, East wasted no time slamming into her.
Most days he was calculated about his approach, but tonight, he was chasing his own high.
The second Joi stepped into her apartment, East knew tonight was about fucking.
With his knees pressed into the bed and Joi’s legs open wide while he repeatedly slammed into her, East made sure she felt every inch and the hoarse, throaty moans and pleas for mercy were proof she did.
Joi felt like her body was going to shut down on her.
The way East drilled into her sent waves of pleasure to places Joi didn’t know existed.
Maybe it’s the liquor. Before Joi could confirm or deny, she came so hard that her body lifted from the bed, only to return when East delivered another fatal stroke he held deep inside her until she reached the end of her orgasm.
He showed no mercy in the least. He wasn’t finished yet.
Instead of easing up, East went right back to deep stroking Joi in a way that had her mind and body floating again.
He kept that pace until he released, falling onto the bed to regroup.
His dick was still pulsing from being inside of Joi, which had him laughing and covering his face with a folded arm.
“Laughing after sex is not a compliment,” Joi mumbled from her position next to him. East quickly grabbed her up and positioned Joi on his chest.
“It’s definitely a compliment, shawty, but you’ll have to take my word for it.”
East was amused by how he was so addicted to Joi.
Everything about her. Not just the sex but everything.
Her showing up drunk, looking sexy with her goofy ass grin, talking about the possibility of him getting tired of her, made him want to fuck that thought right up out of her.
It wasn’t going to happen. He would never get tired of her.
“Fuck that dumb ass girl.” East’s voice had Joi frowning.
“What are you talking about?”
“You said ol’ girl told you I would get tired of you and I’m telling you fuck her dumb ass.
This right here, you and me, isn’t the type of thing you get tired of.
I want you. All of you. I can’t even make sense of it, but trust me, you’ll be tired of me before I’m tired of you.
And when you are? Fuck how you feel cause I still not going anywhere. ”
East’s expression was serious, which had Joi smiling.
“So fuck my feelings?”
East smirked and nodded. “If they involve you trying to be without me, then hell yeah. Fuck them shits.”
“Thank you.” Joi leaned down and kissed him.
“For?”
“For being selfish about my feelings because fuck yours too if they involve being without me.”
East laughed and lifted his head to kiss Joi again. If it meant them staying together, then he was going to be a selfish ass muthafucker forever, and that was his word.
