So, we’re boyfriends?
I looked up at Cam and said, “I hope so. Is that what you want?”
When he nodded, I smiled. Gracias a Dios. I would’ve leaned in for a kiss, but the lobby was too busy. “Good,” I said. “I missed having a boyfriend.”
Single this whole time?
“Yeah, I...uh...wasn’t in a great place mentally, and my parents wouldn’t have allowed it. I never stopped thinking about you though.” I was afraid to ask, but I did anyway. “How about you?” He hesitated, and I became worried about his answer.
I didn’t date anyone.
Whew. That was a relief.
But
Fuck.
This is awkward to write out.
“It’s okay, Cam.” I put my hand on his back, trying to reassure him.
“We weren’t together, and it’s not like I left things on the best terms. It’s unreasonable for me to expect you were celibate the last four years.
I’m not saying I won’t be jealous, but I can’t really be mad.
” My hands got clammy, and I grew anxious while he was writing, though I didn’t hover.
Colton and I fooled around when we first met. He denies he had a crush on me, but one jack-off session told me otherwise. It was just the one time. It felt weird for me, so I stopped anything else from happening, and he respected that. Just friends since then.
Not gonna lie. I was mad, though I knew I had no right to be.
I knew there was something more between them.
I was even angrier at myself for letting Cam go.
If he were with me, he would never have even given Colton a second glance.
Well, maybe that was an exaggeration because I certainly had glanced at Colton more than once.
Even so, I didn’t enjoy thinking of someone else touching Cam.
Say something.
“Sorry, Cam. It’s hard for me to hear that. I don’t like thinking of you touching another guy like that, but we weren’t together. Some part of me is happy you made a friend, and another part of me wants to go find Colton and beat him up.”
Cam smiled.
He doesn’t deserve that. He’s moved on.
“Oh?”
Longer story. I’ll tell you later when I don’t have to write it out.
“It’ll be easier when you get your phone back. Or when you can talk. I can’t be that mad though, not that he and I did anything…” I couldn’t help but see the panic in Cam’s face. “But I thought I’d let you know that I kind of gave Ty a sort of…sex lesson.”
Cam’s eyes bugged out.
“We did not have sex. It was more like a tutoring session. He wasn’t super confident in the beginning with Declan, so during one of my visits to California, he asked me for advice. About sex. I know it sounds weird, but it felt wrong to keep it from you.”
Were you naked?
“For part of it.”
Okay, so which part?
“He was curious about my foreskin. At that point, he wasn’t sure if Declan was uncut or not.”
He could have googled it.
“I know. I didn’t think anything of it, honestly. He asked, so I showed him.”
What happened after that?
“With clothes on, I used produce to demonstrate a handful of sexual techniques.”
Seriously?
I laughed and nodded. “Ty said he felt like using our own dicks was crossing the line of friendship.”
Cam nodded in agreement.
There’s plenty of gay porn on the internet. Why didn’t he just watch that?
“Trust me. He did. He just wanted advice from a friend. That’s all.”
“Alright, boys, we’ve got your room keys,” Coach said, returning, and handed each of us a card. “Don’t lose these. I have three for the other guys, and Noah is keeping an extra one. You’re in the same wing as us, but a few rooms down.”
“Holy shit!”
“Language, Lucas,” Coach admonished.
“Well, it’s hard not to swear when we have a view of the O2 and a hot tub! How are we affording this?” I said, standing near the door to the balcony, looking across the river where we’d been competing the last few days.
“Well, it’s as if there aren’t many options, you know, with the Olympics happening literally right now.
Oh, and also one of America’s strongest gymnasts, the all around-silver medalist, was just injured in a dormitory fire, so perhaps USA Gymnastics wants to take care of the team so there’s a higher likelihood of more medals.
Maybe something like that?” Noah suggested.
“And London officials are covering half the cost because of the fire,” Coach added.
“How many athletes are still staying in the dorms?” I asked.
“Maybe about half. I haven’t heard the exact numbers. Why?”
“Just curious, Coach.”
“You know you guys can still go to the village. Hang out, eat, whatever. We certainly don’t like that we’ve taken that experience from you, but we wanted you to be safe.”
“Uh...this is perfectly okay, Coach. I’m fine with it.”
“How are you doing, Cam?” Noah asked.
He gave him a thumbs up. He looked as much in awe as I was.
“Ooh, no one else is here. We can find a room first!” I squealed.
Cam laughed and shook his head, and held up his notepad.
Our room.
“So, I...uh, take it you two are back together?” Noah asked.
“Yeah,” I said. Cam came to stand next to me and held my hand. He returned my squeeze.
“Have you told your parents yet?” Shane asked.
“I was actually going to do that once we were settled, but no time like the present.”
“You going to text or call?”
“What’s the point of calling, Shane? They never pick up anyway.”
“Fair point.”
“You’re still good to be my coach, right?”
“Of course, Luke.”
Cam and I took the master suite off of the living room.
We figured we were the only couple and the veterans on the team.
I didn’t think anyone would have a problem with it, and it would give us some privacy.
I jumped stomach first onto the bed and started to type.
Cam slid next to me on the bed, snuggling with my body, his chin resting on my back, right arm holding my torso tight to his.
I started typing.
Luke: I’m choosing Cam. We’re back together. I let Cassandra go. I should’ve chosen him four years ago. I want you in my life, but it has to be on my terms, not yours. I hope you’re still coming to London.
I clicked send. “And now we wait,” I said, turning over so Cam’s arm was across my stomach.
I ran my fingers through his hair. It had grown out, enough to have a part.
Not like Ty’s or anything, but he could definitely flip it now, though one of the sides was still short.
Cam lazily stroked my obliques through my shirt.
I thought the hard part was over, but if my parents truly cut me off, I had only a little savings.
I’d have to contact Andrew Christian and make sure my dad didn’t have his hands in that.
Not that I thought he’d fuck with it, but I didn’t know what he’d do honestly.
At least I already graduated. I’m sure they’d kick me out of their apartment, but I didn’t want to stay in New York anyway.
I wanted to move back to Florida. I thought it was too soon to ask, but I hoped Cam’s future plans included me somehow.
Cam sighed, so I asked if he was okay. He responded by lifting my shirt and kissing my stomach, before grabbing the notepad off the nightstand.
I’m going to need to see some of what you demonstrated on these fruits and vegetables.
My dick woke up at the thought and I couldn’t help the groan that escaped my lips. I watched his hand run up my leg and under my shorts, reaching up to my jockstrap. I looked down at him and then watched as he concentrated, working his fingers underneath the tight fabric.
“Oh fuck,” I cried out, as his fingertips touched my dick for the first time in so long. He was in the middle of repositioning his fingers around my dick when I heard the knock from the hallway.
“Fucking hell.”
“I’ll agree with that,” I replied, as I felt his hand withdraw. “And also, shhh.”
I heard Noah said he’d get it, and then the telltale voices that signaled the boys were back echoed through the suite.
Begrudgingly, we joined everyone in the living room. Alex and O had their suitcases, but I noticed Colton only had a small bag.
“Didn’t you get your stuff?” I asked.
“About that,” Colton said, looking at Cam. “Our stuff was pretty smoky, so I hope it’s alright, but I had this cleaning service take it. They were already on site. I figured the folks in charge were expectin’ it.”
“We looked them up on Google. They specialize in restoring damaged clothes. They had good reviews,” Ty added.
How bad were they?
“Smelled like shitty barbecue,” Colton answered. “I didn’t want to chance regular laundry not workin’.”
Thanks. How’s my phone?
“Ah, yeah. Sorry. I got your phone, charger, and some of your toiletries here. I figured you and I could go shopping for some clothes tomorrow if you’re up for it.” Colton must’ve noticed how close Cam and I were standing to each other. “Luke can come too, if y’all want. You two work it out?”
“Yeah, we’re boyfriends again. And we’ll see how he’s feeling,” I said, then doubled over. I looked down at the fist hovering near my navel. Cam had punched me in the stomach.
“Sorry,” he whispered.
Didn’t mean to hit that hard.
“Could’ve fooled me,” I said, standing back up, and tried to catch my breath, wondering what I did that was so bad. Cam pursed his lips and rubbed my stomach a little before writing again.
I don’t need a babysitter.
“Well, tough shit. You got one, mister.”
“Boyfriends again?” Alex asked. “Did I miss something?”
Cam and I exchanged smiles. “Tell you about it later?” I suggested. “It’s kind of a long story.”
Alex nodded.
“So, I’m guessing you guys are in here?” O asked from the door to our room.
“Yeah, I figured we’d take the king bed. Hope that’s okay.”
“As long as we can’t hear you, that’s fine with me.”
“I’ve got noise-canceling earphones. Y’all can be as loud as you want,” Colton joked.
“Don’t challenge them, Colton. They’re likely to fuck with us,” O added.
I noticed Cam was writing something. “I think Cam and I will be the only ones fucking,” I said. Hopefully.
Luke’s pretty loud when I’m inside him.
