22. Lucas #2

And I was definitely going to bring up being punished later. Nothing too crazy, but part of me felt like I deserved it, and maybe it would break the slight tension I could still feel between us. Unless it was all in my head. At the very least, I hoped it would be fun.

When we got back to the hotel, the concierge called us over. Apparently, we were recognizable. Or, he was gay and made sure to identify super hot famous athletes staying at his hotel. I’m sure that’s what I would do if I worked there.

“Hello, gentlemen. I’ve got parcels for both Mr. Kane and Mr. Walker. Let me just pop into the back and get them for you.”

“Must be the clothes,” Alex said.

“I hope so.” Cam moved closer to the desk.

The concierge came out with one large box.

It was clear he was struggling with it. “Here’s Mr. Walker’s parcel,” he said, as he almost collapsed onto the desk.

“Would any of you be willing to help me with Mr. Kane’s box?

I'm afraid I don’t have the muscles-” He cleared his throat, and continued, “I mean, the strength to get another one this big. And our carts are all in use at the moment. I do apologize.”

He was cute in a quiet, intellectual way, and he wasn’t exaggerating about his muscles. He was very skinny, so I didn’t mind helping him and Cam. I spoke up immediately. “I’ll get it.”

“You don’t have to, Luke. I can get it.”

“I don’t think so, Cam. You’re still recovering. No way you are carrying this box.”

“Fine.”

I followed the concierge-twink into the back room. I was almost out of earshot when I heard O tell Cam, “Just let him take care of you.”

Oh, he’s going to do just that.

Well, if everything worked out tonight.

I dropped Cam’s box on our bed, gave him a kiss, and went to heat his steam bowl. When I came back, he had the bed covered with half the stuff and was still looking for something.

“What’s up? Everything there?”

“Yeah, all good,” he said with a tone in his voice that told me he was lying.

I didn’t want to push though, so I just told him I’d be in the kitchen getting dinner ready. It turns out when your parents aren’t around a lot, you figure out how to cook for yourself. Otherwise, takeout gets old real fast.

In under twenty minutes, the sizzling of my thrown-together stir-fry and, I assumed, the delicious smell, enticed the guys from their rooms. It was that, or they were hungry and it was dinnertime.

Cam came out last, wearing…

“Your shirt! Is that what you were looking for?”

“‘Born this cute’,” Alex read.

“Yeah, it was,” Cam answered, scratching his head.

“How are you feeling?” O asked him.

“Good, much better now,” Cam said, picking at the sleeves. “Still fits perfectly.”

“I meant more like your throat, your body...”

“Oh, sorry, Orion. Yeah, all that’s good, too. A little cough today in the arena. Hopefully another night of healing will help.”

O nodded, and Cam made his way over to me near the stove.

“It looks good on you,” I said.

“I’ve kept it all these years, but I haven’t worn it since Australia. I worried the fire damaged it or somehow they lost it. Once I saw you still had the coin, I was glad I brought it.”

I put the wooden spatula down and pulled him towards me for a kiss. And I wanted to feel the shirt against his body. I hadn’t ever seen him in it, but I remembered the day he bought it like it was last week. It was the day I realized I loved him.

“Something tells me there’s a story that goes with that shirt,” Colton interrupted our post-kiss staring.

So, Cam and I told them about our zoo day. When he got to the part about Phineas and Ferb, Cam opened Instagram and went to my profile to show the guys the photo. Technically, it was our first photo as boyfriends, though obviously it wasn’t public knowledge at the time.

Naturally, Cam and I were friends again on Instagram.

I had changed all my app passwords in order to have full control over them.

I didn’t think my parents would mess with anything, but I wasn’t entirely sure they wouldn’t do something spiteful.

It felt nice to not feel like I was being monitored anymore.

Well, I guess they could still see my content, but they had no control over it.

“That is kind of adorable, guys,” Alex said.

“Who knew Cam was such a romantic?” O added.

Cam smiled and took a seat at the island. I went back to the frying pan.

“So, the zoo story was great, but how did you two start dating, anyway?” Alex asked.

And into the fire.

“Finally, we’re alone.”

“Ah ah ah.” I scolded, waving my finger. “Hands off until you do your steam breathing.”

Cam stood in front of the closed door, his shirt already off. He had his arms crossed and was giving me his best pout.

“You’re not getting out of it. Go to the bathroom and do the breathing, and I’ll meet you by the bed.”

“Fine, but you’re not falling asleep this time,” he said, bounding to the bathroom.

“I promise. You can have your way with me tonight.”

“What makes you think I didn’t last night?”

I knew he was kidding, but his flirtiness made me smile, anyway. I was grateful we were slipping into a more comfortable rhythm. Like we used to have. Before I fucked everything up.

“Done!” he declared like a kid, proud of his simple accomplishment.

“I’ll have to take your word for it, mister. You better have done it.”

“Or what? You gonna spank me?”

“Actually…”

When I initially explained my idea, Cam seemed hesitant, but after the first few slaps, his dick gave it away. Laid across his lap and bare-ass naked, I could feel it, hard and poking my hip.
