27. Camden #3
I stood up. “Oooh.”
“What?”
“It feels funny, moving around with it in.”
“You want me to pull it out?”
I shook my head. “I’ll get it in the shower.”
After the steam bowl, we brushed our teeth and got into bed. I hooked up my oxygen tubes, and Luke nestled into my armpit, head on my chest.
“Thank you, Luke.”
“What for?”
“Hmm, let’s see. For taking care of me. For being so patient sexually. For being so gentle with big bro. For having an amazing cock.”
“Well, I can’t take all the credit for the cock. I was born with it.”
“I don’t think it was quite that big when you were born.”
“Ha ha. You know what I mean. And you’re welcome for the other stuff. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This is at your pace. I’m happy to help you explore your sexual interests.”
“And my asshole?”
“Yes. Definitely that, too. Good night, Cam.”
He looked up at me, so I could lean down to kiss him.
“Good night, Luke.”
I woke up the next morning without the usual warmth next to me. I bolted upright in bed, pulling the tubes with me, confirming I was alone. Luke was gone.
The tiniest part of me panicked, though the rational part of me looked for a note, then grabbed my phone. I had a few texts. I ignored the others for now and found Luke’s.
Luke: Sorry, didn’t want to wake you.
Luke: I left already for my events. See you in the arena. :-*
Whew.
I must’ve been more tired than I thought. It was already past eleven. I checked the other texts.
Grant: Sorry, no phones on set while filming, and then I fell asleep.
Grant: Congrats though!
And responded.
Cam: Thanks! Can’t wait to watch the new season. :)
I had one from my mom checking in, and another from Graham, confirming dinner tonight. I replied to both and went to the bathroom to take a leak and get my meds.
Back in the bedroom, I pulled on a black jock, some dark jeans, my official Team USA shirt, and grabbed a hoodie to take with me. I sat on the bed and slipped some socks on, then one of the new pairs of shoes I had picked up in the village free-for-all.
I headed to the kitchen to grab a snack.
“Shucks, Cam. That’s a nice shirt.”
“Uh, thanks. We all got one. Should be in your team duffel, the one we got when we arrived.”
“Sweet. I’ll go find it and tell Orion to wear the same. It’ll look good for the cameras.”
Colton disappeared to find Orion. Looks like Alex had already left, too.
I texted my mom. She might as well ride with us to the arena.
I was lucky to have made it through the rest of the Olympics after the fire. And with my first gold medal, too. And a boyfriend. An amazing boyfriend.
Last night was...incredible. And interesting. I would’ve thought I’d have a panic attack giving someone that amount of control with my body, but either my prostate overrode my brain, or I trusted Luke with something that intimate.
“What should I text him, Cam?”
“What?”
Colton put his phone down and turned to look at me. “Did you hear anything I just said?”
I scrunched my face and answered truthfully. “No. Sorry?”
“Ugh. Well, Zeph wants me in Tampa when we’re done here. He wants to take me out on a proper date.”
“Well, that’s good, isn’t it?”
“How are we gonna have a ‘proper date’? Neither of us are out,” he said, lowering his voice on the last phrase. We were climbing the stairs to our seats in the arena. My mom was ahead of us. Orion was behind Colton.
“I don’t know. Maybe he has some ideas? I mean, he’s pretty famous. Maybe he can pull a few strings and close a whole restaurant or something?”
“Yeah, like that’ll keep the tongues from waggin’.”
“Maybe you can invite him to the ranch? As a friend?”
We got to our seats, and-
“Surprise!” Noah said, pointing next to him, at Cassandra, who was waving at us.
I waved back. Colton nodded. Orion didn’t say anything.
I forgot to introduce her to my mom, so Noah did that for me. I leaned in to whisper, “You could’ve texted me.”
“I did,” Noah replied.
I fished my phone out of my pocket, and sure enough. Damn it. Not that I should be worried. I was confident that she and Luke left things on good terms, but it was still awkward for me since she kept Luke behind her wall of supervision for years.
Orion must’ve felt similar to me because he sat down without acknowledging her. She congratulated me on my gold medal and explained her appearance.
“I just wanted Luke to have another supporter in the stands. I know we certainly didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things over the years. Congratulations to you, Cam, by the way. That certainly was a way to announce the relationship.”
“You can say that again,” my mom said.
Well, aren’t they chummy now?
“I would’ve paid to see the looks on the Riveras’ faces,” Cassandra added.
What?! I turned to look at her and she was smiling.
“What? After four years of keeping you away from him, it was a tremendous relief to watch, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful that it still worked out for you two, relationship-wise and medal-wise. I hope Luke kicks just as much ass today as you have.”
Colton leaned in and said, “Sounds like you gotta fan.”
