28. Lucas #2
“Did you tell them-”
“We’re on our way?”
I nodded.
“I did.” Cam held his hand out, palm up on the seat. I grabbed it with mine and held him until we reached the restaurant.
“So, Cam, how does it feel to be out to the world?” Graham asked.
“It feels different, but good. I mostly like just not having to hide this.” Cam leaned over for a kiss, and I gave him a quick peck.
“That was certainly one way to announce it,” Jake said.
Cam shrugged. “I just went with the moment.”
Jake smiled and said, “That’s so romantic,” before Graham asked, “When did you get back together? If you don’t mind me asking.”
Cam and I went back and forth explaining the entire story, while Jake and Graham interrupted a few times to ask questions.
“Sounds like it was a miracle that Cam performed so well this week,” Graham observed.
“Well, I had this awesome person taking care of me,” Cam said, putting his arm around my shoulder and pulling me closer to him.
“What’s happening with you two?” Cam asked.
“Well, you’ve been busy, so I’ll forgive you for not knowing, but I have two more event finals coming up in the next few days. This one’s been my biggest cheerleader.”
“Besides watching Jake’s muscular body peacock in front of the universe in a skimpy speedo, what have you been doing, Graham?” I asked.
“Lots of traveling. To Australia to see Jake. To California to see Grant on set. On my own, I’ve actually started doing some writing, and I work at my local gym teaching kids gymnastics for now. My future’s kind of up in the air right now.”
We had a few more drinks and talked way too much about our sex lives. I was hoping none of us would remember it in the morning, but I had a feeling Jake had been drinking water the entire evening. I didn’t need to know Graham’s favorite sex position, but now I did.
“I think it’s gime to toe,” Cam said, reaching under my shirt.
“I think it’s time to put the drink down,” I said. Cam was clearly a featherweight when it came to alcohol. I knew I was buzzed, but I could still form a coherent sentence. Coherent. Coherent? Is that even a word?
“I’m getting you guys a taxi,” Jake offered. “What hotel are you staying at?”
I handed him my phone. I didn’t remember. I’m sure it was in there.
The taxi ride sobered Cam up enough that he stopped trying to strip me. Instead, he was attempting to probe my mouth with his tongue. I tried to satisfy his horniness, but it felt like the driver was enjoying it a little too much for me to focus on Cam.
“Have a fun night, gentlemen,” she said, as we exited the back seat.
I thanked the driver and maneuvered Cam into a manageable position. I wrapped his left arm around my shoulder and held it in place, while bracing his waist with my other arm.
“You smell good,” Cam said.
“Uh huh.” I walked him towards the hotel, and while struggling to hold Cam up and get the door open, a nice stranger held the door open for us.
“Rough night?” he asked.
“Just a little too much fun,” I said.
“It was not too much fun. It was just enough!”
The stranger laughed at Cam, and I made our way to the elevators.
“You’re lucky the paparazzi haven’t found us yet. This wouldn’t be a brilliant look for you.”
“Camden! Lucas!”
I had to open my big fucking mouth.
I slammed my hand on the button, willing the elevators to arrive. Come on!
“Camden, how does it feel to have your kiss go viral?”
“Come on, guys. Give us another kiss for the cameras.”
Cam actually leaned toward me with his lips puckered. Jesus.
Someone from the front desk must’ve heard the commotion because several uniformed staff members hurried towards us to block the paparazzi, allowing us to get on the elevator.
As the doors shut, I heard one of them say harassing hotel guests was forbidden and if they didn’t leave the premises, the authorities would be called.
Well, it would’ve been nice if they stopped them from coming inside in the first place. The giant cameras were fairly obvious.
Cam was giggling.
“At least we weren’t blowing each other in public,” I said, allowing Cam to lean against the wall for a minute.
“Oooh, that sounds like a good idea, let’s do that.” Cam went for my crotch, attempting to unbutton my pants, but he just ended up feeling me up. “Help me, Luke,” he whined.
“Not until we get to our room,” I said, though my dick betrayed me. It was hardening, and Cam could tell.
“Colton!” Cam yelled as we entered the suite. He half-ran, half-stumbled towards his best friend, arms out. Colton was agile and able to catch Cam’s substantial frame. The benefits of being a world-class athlete.
“Someone’s tossed back a few,” Colton observed.
“Yeah, I think the restaurant is out of tiny umbrellas now,” I said. “Cam was celebrating.”
“Well, I have every reason to be happy,” Cam said before pouting.
Alex and O must’ve heard Cam because they joined us in the living room and, in turn, they received clumsy hugs.
“Oooh, Alex, your muscles are so...good.”
Alex looked confused as Cam’s arms stayed wrapped around him. “Um, help me!”
“I thought you were the one into straight guys,” O joked, looking at me.
I sighed. “Not helpful, O. Can you get us some water?”
Colton and I went over to Alex and disentangled Cam’s limbs from his body. We maneuvered Cam onto the couch. I sat down next to him and pulled him towards me, hoping it would redirect his attention to my body.
